They did a rear tire tube replacement for me in under 30 mins. Super happy with the value, service and speed.

All of this is in the same day by the way I went over to Mike's bikes and they said the repair for my shifter cable and housing was gonna be about $400 and they said it was gonna take about three weeks to repair so I set up an appointment with them and I thought it felt very off so then I went to Bob's cycle center and they said they would be able to repair it in the same day and all of it for about $50 including a tube change I did have the parts with me so it made it a little cheaper Chris and Mark helped me and they were extremely nice about it. I didn't specify what to I want to change and I got a call from them asking which I thought was very nice. I recommend this business for bike repairs at 10 out of 10 and if I ever need any other work done, I will definitely be coming here. read more

I brought my bike here 10 days ago since the back wheel needed a rebuild, and the front wheel needed truing or an alignment service. Here is a short timelime of the things that went wrong since: Initially, I was told the bike would be completed by Wednesday at the latest. I called Wednesday to pick it up and was told someone forgot to out in an order so they hadn't even started, and the business wasn't sure if they would even have it done by the weekends. Then something good happened. I got a call today, and they said work done, but the rear tire blew/slipped off. So, I brought in a spare tire for the workers to install. When I got it there, I was told they wouldn't put it on because it's old, which risked a similar issue. (Both of these tires are 1 year old, btw). So I paid the bill and took the bike home without the rear tire installed. Once I got home, I installed the rear tires myself WITHOUT any issue and even used the SAME TIRE they said blew off. LASTLY, I spun both the front and back tires to inspect if they have been trued. And guess what? Both the rebuild and the "trued" front tires are still badly misaligned. This was a really disappointing experience here, and it will be my last one! I hope you find my review helpful in finding the right bike shop because this ain't it. read more

I recently purchased three mountain bikes from Bob's Cycle Center. 1 Kona Honzo from their Fair Oaks location and two Giants from the Roseville location. Both purchases were made easy and I was given expert advise from the associates who were working. Josh & Adam helped me make the perfect decision based on my needs and spent time explaining all the options and features that different bikes had to offer. In addition, they helped me upgrade my Kona with tubeless tires, better pedals, a more comfortable seat and better handle bar grips. These fine young men were able to get my bike serviced and install all these additional parts within 24hrs. This made my life easier as I don't have extra time to work on my bike and knowing everything was installed professionally gives me price of mind. These upgrades have given me a much more enjoyable ride. I was also given 6-months of free bike adjustments with the purchase of my bikes. I ride 3 days a week on dirt, rock and pavement and put 60+ miles on my bike so having 6-months I'd free adjustments is a great value. read more

I can't say enough about the absolutely amazing customer service this business brings to our local market.. yet again the driving reason to buy locally from a long term bike shop.. Why you ask? Well unfortunately my daughter had her bike stolen on campus in Davis.. we were having a problem finding the receipt.. so I called where I bought it only to find out the computers have been upgraded: however Mark went the extra mile and mentioned maybe the flagship store (that has been in fair oaks since I was a kid.. at least 50 years I know of) maybe has the older info there.. I then called there to reach Dave.. they were hella busy but said he would research for my receipt and call me back.. he was nice enough to call back the same day with the receipt which he went the extra mile and emailed me.. insurance company was happy.. daughter was happy. Dad was happy... try getting that from a big box store.. !!!! Took our sons bike in for service of bad brakes. Ended up being twice as expensive as originally quoted, which would have been fine, if the brakes worked... after they "fixed them". We picked it up and paid, and upon trying it in the parking lot, the brakes were terrible. We had to suggest putting new pads on before they worked as they should. Will not be going back. read more

Just purchased my first modern road bike from this fine establishment today. The selection of bikes here is really phenomenal. Lots of great choices for pretty much any level of cyclist with different needs. I ended up rest riding 4 bikes today which eventually helped me narrow down my choices and my ultimate decision. If they don't have a bike in store that you're interested in, just talk to the staff and chances are they can order what you want and have it shipped right to the store. If that's the case, they'll do all the necessary checks on it to make sure it's good to go! They also offer a 6-month period of free maintenance when you purchase from them. I will continue to bring my bike here after that though, because these guys rock and I love supporting local businesses. The staff here are excellent. Adam, Shawn (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) and my man Will were all super helpful. Will was the main guy I was working with and he put up with all my questions and test ride requests like it was nothing! Appreciate you bro! This has been my go to shop but this past Sunday I dropped my bike off and I printed out a list of what I needed done. Install tires (I supplied the tubes), install bar ends I supplied, swap pedals I supplied and adjust brakes. Called me Wed to say it was done. I was at work so my wife picked it up. I get home excited to see it. No bar ends, same pedals, brakes still feel the same. All they did was put tires on?? They gave her a bag with my pedals and bar ends in it. I purchased several bikes from both the Roseville and Fair Oaks location. I ride my bikes like crazy, and if there is an issue with a bike, I will find it (or create it). I recently had a problem with an E-bike I purchased, and both shop managers went on a ride with me to see what was going down on the trails. Anyone can sell you a bike, but you get to see how they deal with it when you have a problem. I feel taken care of, which is why you should buy from your local shop. I needed a couple of 5/32 ball bearings in order to repair the pedals on an antique road bike I own so I went to Bob's Cycle Center in Roseville because they were closest. When I entered the store I told an employee that I needed a couple of 5/32 ball bearings for my pedals, the employee responded in a very snarky voice "Oh, that doesn't sound right, the bearings inside pedals are very tiny." - To begin with, 5/32 is only slight larger than an eighth of an inch, most people would consider that a tiny size, but for whatever reason, the salesperson I talked with seemed to think that I was asking for an absurdly large bearing. On top of that, the salesperson remarked that I was probably trying to repair a cheap pair of plastic pedals only worth $10. However, I ignored his snarkiness, because I just wanted to find a couple of bearings for my project. Just then, another person arrived, presumably a manager, and asked me if I needed help. I told the manager what I was looking for, and a few moments later he returned with a plastic box full of miscellaneous bearings. It was immediately obvious from looking in the box that it did not contain any bearings that were remotely close to what I was looking for. I told the manager that I would try elsewhere, and then he also chided in very condescendingly, that he could provide me with a pair of plastic pedals for only $10.00. I told them that I didn't want plastic pedals, and then I left the store. Bottom line, I experienced way too much attitude and snark, and not nearly enough technical knowledge and good customer service. I won't be going back to Bob's Cycle Center in the future. read more

They had the 14" and 20" supplies in stock for both, and fixed it on the spot. Friendly staff had me in and out in no time. Not that they were rushing me either, I could've talked bikes with them for hours! Very knowledgeable staff and customer service for all who came in on a Saturday morning was superb. Sometimes you get bike snobs, but not here. They have a passion for anything with pedals and wheels. Customers had old rinky dink bikes and they were treating them as good as their top e-bikes. I'll start by saying that I really have no "real" need for bicycle shops. I avoid them at all costs because of their over the top pricing and MSRP mentality for any item they sell. I do all of my own work and I have found it more cost effective to purchase the tool for the job than pay an hour of labor with rivals that of a car dealership. I really dislike attitude, laziness, and poor customer service, and hence my dislike for bike shops. I do however go to them when I need a part, piece, or a staple such as a pump, tube, or tire in an emergency (either real or imagined) and at a time when I cannot wait for UPS to deliver to my doorstep. When i go into a bike shop, I am already resolved to the fact that I will be paying a ridiculous high price for whatever I am looking for, if they have it in stock. What I demand is customer service and, and by great, I mead GREAT customer service. Today, I went in looking for a staple and was met with attitude and laziness. Rather than assisting me in locating an out of stock item, the kid behind the counter just spewed attitude and was in a hurry to get back on his phone to continue his messaging session. Not good at all. I will try this place again if need be, but I will not recommend it to anyone. read more

I've been to several biking centers in the area and Bob's Cycle Center is my favorite and the best. Justin, Eileen, Chris and some whose names escape me, are so awesome! These people are very friendly, helpful and polite. I feel welcomed in their store and they are happy to just talk with you and give you pointers about whatever your biking concerns or problems may be. I've actually went there on a few occasions just to browse. I've purchased my favorite 3 bikes there. A Felt carbon fiber road bike, an aluminum frame Felt, and an electric Trek Conduit. I don't know how many flats they have fixed for me. Whatever your biking problems are, Bobs Cycle are happy to help. I love it here and consider it my biking home base store. read more
