Elite Bicycles saved my BMX wheel when others gave up. I brought in a rear BMX wheel with a damaged rim, missing spokes, and several bent ones. Two other shops told me it was a lost cause and tried to upsell me on a full wheel replacement--quotes ranged from $90 to $250. Elite Bicycles took a different approach. They actually listened, assessed the damage thoroughly, and got to work. Not only did they repair the rim and replace the damaged and missing spokes, but they did it at a very fair price. I have been dealing with this shop for 6 months, spent 1,000's of dollars there. They can't do anything right. Never get back to you when they say they are even when they have 100's of dollars of my cash. Reason I have been dealing with there lazy don't care attitude because it was convenient. Not anymore had to pickup my cash money today after they had it for days with no call backs on a product they were supposed to order. This has happened multiple times in the past. Every time I would go in there 3 people (no names doing nothing and still received terrible service. They lost a great customer and my friends that bought multiple bikes from here will never go back and spread the word to others. I went to Patriot Bikes today and was taken care of instantly even though my first time there. I recommend Patriot Bikes to anyone needing bike related issues. Again I can't believe how terrible Elte Bicycle shop is. I don't recommend Elite Bike shop for any of your bike needs. Really don't understand there problem and why they have a business that doesn't care about there customers. The employees here are so rude. They don't greet you and if you ask a question half the time they don't answer. When they do answer they do not offer any help. Went in to look and buy a 29in cruiser to ride with my kids. There was two gentleman behind the counter both looked at me and didn't even greet me period I had to ask them where was the 29in cruisers one answered me didn't offer any assistance at all so I literally walked over to the bikes and still no assistance so I left and drove to bobs bicycles in Roseville. Let me tell you night and day difference as soon as I walked in I was greeted right away and they answered all my questions that I had about the 29in cruisers so I bought one on the spot not cheap but it was great customer service. After-sale service is alive and well at Elite Bicycles! My new SE Fast Ripper had an issue with the forks that compromised the vertical alignment of the front wheel. The folks at Elite photographed the manufacturer's defect and e-mailed SE Racing to start the warranty claim. As a kid I was into bikes and still remember when my Dad bought a GT for my brother and me. It was a big part of my childhood so wasn't going to do my son dirty and get him a Walmart bike lol. Ended up getting a Norco Roller 14 for my 4 year old son. After doing research online I knew what to look for. Most bike shops don't have kids bikes without coaster brakes. If you start your kid off on a balance bike you need to go straight to a coaster free bike. Luckily Elite carries the Norco Roller 14. My son started riding on his own in a week. A bike doctor came to my house and said they could not install the brakes on my sons bike that I had to go to elite bicycles because they specialize in BMX bikes. I was there for about a half hour and it was done. I know they're very busy and don't have the time for a walk in. They were so kind, professional and reasonably priced. Elite Bicycles is hands down the best bike shop I have ever been to. Their staff is very informative and personable. They were genuinely helpful. I ordered a Sunday BMX bike for my fiance online but changed my mind at the last minute and decided to pick it up instead, I was worried it was going to be a problem but they let me pick it up the day after I ordered. The lady who helped me was honest and very helpful! Kevin was also very helpful and friendly when I called. They're store had all types of bikes, part and accessories. Before leaving with the bike they did a last review of it, making sure all the parts where there and that it worked properly. Picked up a GT Palomar from these guys for almost $300. After a month or so, it was due for a tune up, so I took it back in. While in there I asked about trading it back in on a higher end model, was told we'd discuss it when I picked it up. Upon pickup there's a bunch of dirt and residual oil from them spraying down my chain. The front derailleur still rubs the chain, exactly as it did before. My gear indicator is still right in between all of the numbers on the display, just as it was before. Except for spraying oil around I'm not entirely sure what they did. They didn't have anything in a 29" wheel. Still, I asked about the trade in to pick up a $600 unit they'd just built out. $100 credit was their offer for a bike they'd sold me 4 weeks earlier for 3 times the amount. I priced out a bike with better components and a 29" wheel at another shop for cheaper. I'll now be listing my GT on craigslist, since it's worth more there. read more

I went into Elite Bicycles about as green as could be. I haven't rode a bike since I was a teenager, and even then it was the wally world cheapy bikes. Eric, the manager of this shop, was super helpful. He listened to what I was looking for, steered me in the right direction, and best of all, didn't just try to sell me something he had in stock on the floor. In fact, when it came time to order the bike, he ordered it in 2 sizes, just to make sure that I would be in the right bike. In the end, I tried out both bikes, and found one that was the perfect fit. As with most bike shops, they offer free adjustments, and you can really be at ease knowing you have support as long as you have the bike. Pricing was slightly lower than expected - about $30-$50 less than I could find the bike online. All in all, a great experience - and I would recommend them highly. read more
