Staff ask you when you are entering store what brings you in today, getting us in quickly to what where we needed to find. We came in today to purchase a couple of insulated water bottles for our bikes. Competing pricing and the products were in stock; makes for a successful trip to Folsom Bike. This Store has a lot to offer and is well stocked with bikes, and accessories when we came in today. We will definitely be back to this location for our next bike services.

I honestly don't think it's possible to write a negative enough review for this place. It all…read morestarted with me returning my FX 2 and using my Roscoe 7 as a trade in to get a Checkpoint ALR 3. They didn't have the Checkpoint in stock so they ordered it and told me it would show up in a week. 9 days went by so I called to check in and see if they had an ETA since the bike was two days late at that point. It was then that I was told by an employee that the bike had north of a month long backorder. The employee seemed surprised that the manager who sold me the Checkpoint didn't tell me that it was backordered. At this point, I was not OK with having been deceived into this deal so I said I wanted my bikes back or a cash refund. I went in to the Trek store the day after my phone call with the employee and the manager lied to my face saying he didn't know there was a backorder. Nice try. I work for an auto dealership. We can see when cars and parts are backordered. A couple days went by and the employee called me again last Tuesday to inform me that they had found a bike in Tennessee and could have it in my hands by the weekend and asked if I wanted the bike or store credit. I chose the bike. The weekend came and went and still no bike so my brother called on my behalf since I didn't have time to call today 4/27/2026 and they told him the bike would show up tomorrow but would not be able to be built until Friday because their "builder" is out until then. More lies. Anybody in that store could build the bike. I know this because everyone in the El Dorado Hills store builds bikes. At this point, I now have a Giant Revolt 2 (I strongly suggest trying that bike) that will be my bike and I will be selling the Checkpoint for cash when I have it in hand because I am 100% done with Trek. I will be having it inspected by a trusted shop first before I sell it though because I now don't trust Trek Folsom to not sabotage the bike since I have been very clear about my displeasure both in this review and the survey I got in an email. I will NEVER do business with Trek again and will do everything in my power to direct everyone I meet away from Trek. This Checkpoint would have been my 4th Trek bike and after this experience, it will be my last for sure. Nice going guys. You drove away someone who was planning to ride your bikes for life! Great business! Anyway, if you want an awesome gravel bike, go to Mike's Bikes in Folsom and check out the Giant Revolt 2. It's been one of those days, so sorry I don't have any pictures to share. The backstory is my…read morehusband has been dealing with Planter Facetious and has gotten some inserts at REI back in December and that got us through 4 grueling days of Disneyworld. Since then he's had flair ups now and then, but nothing compared to this weekend. We walked 8 miles over 2 days in South Lake Tahoe and he was feeling it. Last week he was having a conversation with is coworker who is a runner until she got planter factious. That got talking to him talking about his foot issues to. His coworker suggested we get some of these really tacky shoes that looks like crocs living on a billow. According to her they are supposed to be helpful and at the same time you wouldn't want to be caught dead in them. In their ad they were referred to as recovery shoes. With his cowered suggestion he was finally open to exploring the new shoe option. Previously I tried to turn him to getting some new shoes at REI but, he thought the inserts were good enough so I let the subject drop. I did some research on the shoes his coworker suggested and read mixed reviews on Reddit and other sites. He's in so much pain that we're willing to try anything. Sadly, they don't sell this brand at REI so I talked him into going to REI and giving something they have in stock a try. When I had Planter Facetious my girlfriend turned me to HOKAs. Those weren't an instant cure, but they got me on my way. So, I suggested he give them a try for a daily shoes and another shoe aka a house shoe. From what I have been told you shouldn't go barefoot when you have Planter Facetious. When we got to REI we started our search for a house shoe, the ones his coworkers suggested looked more like an house shoe than a real daily shoe. When I was searching for reviews on the shoes his coworker suggested I got a lead on OOFOS. They were recommended by one of the reviewers that didn't find the other shoes helpful. OOFOS are located in the shoes section on racks near the rubber Birkenstocks. They had lots of OOFOS. Both slide and thong options. He tried both on and went with OOriginal Sandals, the thong styles they were more comfortable. Next for the hard part. Searching for a daily shoe. He tried on many models. Two different styles of HOKAs and Brooks. After walking around the store for around an hour he settled on the Brooks. They are dark grew with a muted red swish on it. Very stylish in it's own way. He just bought a pair of dress shoes that look fabulous and he's sad to not be able to wear them now. Too bad as I really like them. Hopefully after he recovers he'll be able to wear them again. I've been going on a few years now using my HOKAs as my main shoe. I trade off on Sundays to go to church and wear a pretty dress shoes and I recently got a pair of saddles from the geriatric shoe store that are cute and comfy. For my house shoe I use my Birkenstocks. The classic style with the fluff. While he was shopping for shoes I went coat shopping. I wanted a white coat that was fashionable and functional. I found some really cute ones, but they were more fashion then functional. I finally settled on a white rain coat that will be perfect for our trip to Seattle. It's short but not too short that my purse sticks out. I think it's going to be a good additional to my wardrobe and gives me an option to my red raincoat that I got a few years back at REI. Now we're hoping we made the right decisions and all he'll have happy feet. I really hope his feet heal before our trip to AZ where we'll be doing a lot of walking as we explore Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon.

He stayed calm, explained exactly how the membership would save me money on the repair, and he was completely right. What struck me was that he kept trying to help me even though I was being uncool because I assumed it was just some scam to get me to sign up for something I didn't need. He also charged me only for the work my bike actually needed instead of a full tune-up, which saved me even more. I hadn't ridden the bike in five years, none of the gears worked, and when I got it back it was flawless. He's a great mechanic and a genuinely cool guy. I even stood around talking with him for about 10 minutes after dropping the bike off. Highly recommended. I'm glad I now know who to call if my bike ever has a heart attack..

Man, I found another gem in the cycling world. I got my first flat today and thought I was…read moreprepared, but my valve stem was too short for my carbon wheels. I was right by the Fair Oaks Bridge on the American River Trail, half a mile away from this shop I had seen before but never stopped at. I had to decide if I was going to walk or call for a ride. I ended up walking, took my cycling shoes off and went in socks haha, not too bad actually. Fortunately, Adaman was there and had exactly what I needed. I caught him in the middle of something, but he still took the time to help and even replaced the tube for me, which I really appreciated. He also pointed me in the right direction for a proper pump and spare tube so I don't run into this again. I'll definitely be back, maybe even to look into a bike upgrade down the road.
