So in the 5 months since my first trackday I've now done Laguna, Sonoma, Thunderhill East and West, all with Feel Like a Pro. I've continually improved, lowered lap times, and am now riding solid B-group pace all day long. There is nothing more satisfying on a Ninja 400 than having a Ducati 1299 blow by you on the straight, only to catch them in turn 3 and say "hey, remember me?" (I don't think they can hear me, but I do say it). If the Feel Like a Pro team didn't make me feel so welcome and provide a great experience, I wouldn't have been back. It's that simple. I had an absolutely stellar experience renting a bike from FLAP. Went into it thinking I was just renting a ninja 400 at thunderhill but I got so much more out of it. Ryan, one of the owners, is a very quick rider and he gave me a ton of pointers as well as a tow around the track and specific advice on both how to improve as well as how to ride the ninja better. He knows his own product inside out and his knowledge was invaluable. I got a lot faster over the two days I rented. Michelle, his wife and co-owner, has only been riding for two years and is super quick too. She gave a lot of perspective on how to improve quickly and was amazing at helping get us set up. The rental experience is a total white glove service. you have a canopy and tables in a prime location. Tire pressures are checked throughout the day. Ryan made numerous adjustments to the bikes ergos (I'm a taller dude) to make me more comfortable. it's like being part of a racing team with your own pit crew and mechanic for the day. Lastly the other rentals were really cool. I didn't know anyone else at the event and we hung out together. Made some new friends! Highly recommend flap. read more

I rented one of their bikes at Thunderhill West with PTT this weekend in group C. This was my first time on track (some limited spirited road driving experience) and I had a ton of fun. The bikes are nimble, tons of grip (I rented tire warmers) and plenty fast. You really do feel like a pro when their crew help you with everything from getting on and off the bike, mounting gopro's and prepping everything that needs prepping. For my very first track day I went to Thunderhill East and as I don't own a motorcycle of my own, I rented out one of the Njnja 400's from Ryan and his team at FLAP. The whole operation is very organized, and the resting area for clients was a small oasis in the 90+ degrees heat that day.. I took a tumble on the first novice session of the day I the morning, and the track organizers told me that I'd probably have to wait until after lunch until they would be able to retrieve my bike. Ryan went above and beyond and retrieved my bike himself within the hour, and then soon after that, got it repaired and had me back on the saddle for the session before lunch. I was out riding for the rest of the day without further incident. On top of that, Ryan and his wife Michelle were extremely supportive of my first ever track experience, showed me the ropes, and even coached me a bit. It really turned my entire day around, I can't stress l how awesome they are.. 10/10 recommend anybody that is considering their services . read more

I been wanting to race for a few years but did not know how to start. I learned about Feel Like A Pro and decided to give it a try. I rented one of their bikes and it was a great experience. First of all Dave is super cool and knowledgeable. He has bike ready to go when u get there. All you do is ride. The bikes are well maintained and run great. I rode a 600cc before but have learned and gotten way faster ridding the 250. If you are there when I am there I will totally help you. If not there are so many people willing to help you and give you tips on how to ride fast. So much easier then loading your bike, setting everything up, unloading when u get home and all the extra stuff that goes with it. Just show up and ride. Highly recommended. I decided to rent a bike for my first track day instead of risking my street bike. They even offer insurance for $60 that limits your max liability. The bikes have all the parts you'd want on a track bike, rear sets, clipons, Super Corsa tires, stainless brake lines, etc etc. I rode in C group Thunderhill West 5/17/2015. Dave and Pat were awesome. They had water, gatorade, snacks, seats and shade to relax in. My second session out Dave followed me with his Gopro. He gave me some great tips on lines and getting my butt off the seat. The next session I was dragging my knee for the first time! I had no problem passing 600's and liter bikes in the corners. They also offer the bikes per session if you want to try them out. Can't recommend them enough. read more

My very first track day (T-hill 4/5/2014). I had sold my bike last year, but haven't bought another yet, so I rented a little 250 from Dave. I was skeptical about being able to hang with the bigger bikes on the track, but boy I was wrong. The bike felt great and Dave gave me some pointers which help me carry higher speed through turns. Although I didn't take advantage of it (wanted to ride with my buddies), but there was also a highly experience rider that will guide you around the track. Overall I had a great time. Feel Like A Pro (FLAP) is a great way to increase your fun at the race track. Having your bike waiting for you makes your day incredibly convenient: no hauling; no loading/unloading; no tech inspection; etc. Plus you are riding motorcycles specifically set up for the track. Ryan and Michelle are fun to interact with and provide true "white glove" service. When you rent from FLAP, all you have to do is ride--they literally do everything else. I recently rented a Ninja 400 Supersport and had so much fun I reserved one of their "up-spec" Ninja 400R's for an upcoming two-day track school. The bikes were inspected thoroughly and Dave spent some time explaining a few details about the bike and the track in general. Dave had provided refreshments during the entire day and ample supply of water and gatorade which was really helpful (110F on a track day!) Dave was kind enough to mount my GoPro and lap timer on my bike. During the day he kept asking about the riding and if I had any issues and discussed them thoroughly. read more

After about a 4 year hiatus from racing and track days I realized how much I missed it. Life is as busy as ever, if not more so. So the R6 still needs some TLC and I didn't make the time to deal with it. And then, I remembered FLAP - Feel Like a Pro. Seemed like a perfect solution. Besides a reliable bike I would not have to spend several hours loading, unloading and forgetting something. And, I could take our much more comfortable CX-5 instead of the 20-year old gas guzzling Z71. And, I get a whole day to test a track ready Ninja 400. I called Ryan Peterson, the new owner of FLAP to ask a few questions. In particular, "could they accommodate a larger rider" (218lb). Initially I was disappointed to hear the suspension on their rental bikes are stock Kawasaki hardware. But Ryan reassured me and I figured worse come to worse I would ride around the overwhelmed and non adjustable suspension. I needn't have worried. The suspension worked well enough for me to have an awesome day. I was on track for every minute of every session - that has never happened for me when I was a team of one. The rear tire was replaced with a new Pirelli without the stress of having to get it done between sessions. Mario adjusted tire pressure to my liking (based on PSI and tire temp right after coming off track) and patiently set me up with a GP shift pattern with the lever exactly where I could intuitively shift. By the end of the second session it felt like "my bike." After signing up with FLAP I worried a bit about their recent change in ownership and with this being their first weekend of the season, honestly expected some operational hiccups. No hiccups! Everything went very smoothly. Ryan and Michelle are perfect (and incredibly friendly and down to earth) hosts. Mario our track technician is a gentleman - always ready to drop the bike off the rear stand and take it back as soon as I got back to the pits. Outstanding service. So nice not to have to think about gassing up, tire warmers or anything besides riding, rehydrating and enjoying the snacks provided throughout the day. One last mention - it was great to see David - one of the previous proprietors of FLAP- supporting Ryan and Michelle, and adding more positive vibes to the whole experience. Bottom line: great way to enjoy a low stress track day on a fun motorcycle. read more

Last weekend was my second extraordinary experience with FLAP.. Myself and Two of my friends took advantage of a discount they offered last weekend, and all three of us had an amazing time. These guys are a class act. They are totally focused on customer service. The bikes are in great shape. They even provide water and gatorade. When your session is called you simply walk up, throw a leg over your assigned bike, they pat you on the back, and you're off. After your session you roll back in to find them waiting to take the bike from you and you're done. It could not be easier. No UHaul trailer, no worrying about your bike, no anxiety at all. This is the real deal: A track prepared motorcycle capable of knee-dragging performance, warmed up and waiting for you when it's your turn. The Ninja 300 is so perfect for the track. Their bikes are competent and not at all intimidating: a perfect platform for pushing your limits and growing your skills. If you're new to track riding or just want to focus on hitting your marks without being distracted by your 160hp motorcycle's stability control light on every corner exit, you owe it to yourself to spend a day or two on these bikes. I was so impressed with these guys! They run a tight ship but also make sure you have a fun SAFE day out there on their bikes. When my bike died on the track, they made sure I was set up with a bike. I got a great price since it was half way through the day... They supply the gas, tires etc. so it's totally worth it. They also made sure I was comfortable with the bike as well. OK, these guys are just awesome. They are the only game in town for rental bikes for track days, and they still go the extra mile. Bikes are always perfectly prepped, they take a care of anything you need, concessions are nice (trust me, you will want a place to relax between sessions), and best of all you just show up. On top of that, if you want to learn the 300cc Ninjas are perfect. You can do B+ pace if you want to on these bikes, and you'll probably learn more in the process. read more

Awesome deal. Way more fun, way less bother, and way less expensive than bringing your own machine out. I had my doubts about riding only a 250 / 300 Ninja, but those things seem to have super powers on tight technical tracks where speeds are under 100mph. The bigger bikes don't stand a chance.
