Seafood Empanada Croquetas de pollo (4)
    Tiger W.

Food - Got the chicken croquette, seafood empanada, and jamon Benedict for lunch Croquette was super crispy, but it was too rich and creamy for me. Empanada was different and unique but I wouldn't get it again. I'm glad I tried it. Benedict was the star! They use aji Amarillo for the hollandaise and it made all the difference. Service was great. Price is fair and ambiance was nice. Parking was not that convenient but it is what it is for the area!

Pretty restaurant with nice interior. We visited on a busy Friday lunchtime, the service was quite slow, we have to wait for order and long delays for basic requests like clean plates. The Ceviche Mixto was refreshing and a great choice in the warm weather, the Gambas al Ajillo with shrimp, mashed potatoes and garlic bread was quite nice. However, I'd skip the Paella Negra, it was tasted fishy and lacked of flavor. The Rosé Sangria was a pleasant highlight to this lunch meal.

We had the seafood empanadas and bravas. Superrrr yummy. We ate before pictures! We sat at the bar and the male bartender was great! Food came fast too.

This trendy Peruvian - Spanish restaurant is the perfect blend of flavors! Heavy spanish tapas paired with bright Peruvian ceviche makes for a well balanced meal in the heart of Santana Row! The meal is pricey, but it is worth trying this spot at least once to experience how these cultures meld to form such a unique cuisine. Classico Ceviche: 8/10 Solid ceviche! Bright flavors. I like the natural Peruvian non-GMO corn kernels inside. Berenjena y Salsa: 9/10 Amazing roasted eggplant with the perfect smoky sauce accompanied by a delectable cheese that makes the dish taste like an exotic eggplant parmesan! Definitely a highlight and a very unique dish I haven't seen elsewhere! Gambas al Ajillo : 6/10 The shrimp texture was perfect but what we got is not what I typically expect from Gambas al Ajillo. It lacked garlic flavor and this dish was primarily mashed potatoes more than shrimp. Patatas Bravas: 7/10 Uses the same smoky sauce from the eggplant to create a unique spin on traditional spanish patatas bravas! (Plus the kitchen gave this to us for free because they made extra!!) Pulpo : 8/10 One of the more elevated dishes here! The octopus arm was accompanied by peruvian purple potato, a roasted lemon (adding the perfect brightness), and a crunchy purple potato tuille. It was a bit chewier than desired, but was otherwise an amazing dish! Ambiance: 10/10 Very trendy and warm! Nice atmosphere for date night or a cute brunch. Even the bar seats were comfy and the outdoors area has heat lamps. Service : 10/10 The staff were so nice and even gave us an extra tapa of the patata bravas! They even helped lead us to the secret speakeasy afterward

Gin cocktails and Charcuterie of Jamon Iberico and Manchego Queso

We were looking for a restaurant with big windows on a rainy night and so grateful we landed here. The food is delicious and the service from Jazz, impeccable! We had their signature cocktails and it's the perfect kinda cocktail that pairs well with a rainy ambiance and a sunny day and we look forward to coming back on a sunny day to enjoy outside! And as Jazz said their cocktail menu pairs well with their food items. We had their tomato bisque perfect for a rainsy night), charcuterie board with jamon iberico and queso manchego (accompanied with fruits and a perfectly paired made-in-house jam) and had the paella de mariscos (the shrimp was my favorite, the hubby preferred the mussels and we both liked the squids texture) To top us off, we had a two glasses of their pinot noir and flan for dessert. I wished the flan was a bit sweeter but my husband thought it had thw perfect amount of sweetness. The decor is beautiful, open and airy with a bar at its center. We got seated at like a long bench which with a cushion as the backing (i found uncomfortable and kinda was hoping we'd get seated at a booth since the restaurant wasn't too busy but alas it meant we got to meet Jazz!) When we come back we hope to have more of an appetite and try one of their platos fuertes.

Ambiance is very nice, and the back connects to a bar/speakeasy-type place! Paella: large enough to share with 2, but we had 3 peckish people and still had some left over. The physical dish is wide, but it's not deep. The sauce is definitely one of the highlights! Ceviche Mixto: recommended by the server, this was amazing! However, Rocoto pepper is a nightshade related to berries, and we had a berry allergy in our group. The server and manager were both extremely kind in remedying the situation, and even checked with their chef about all the ingredients. I appreciate their effort! Flan: I'm not a flan person, but this one was irresistible!! I loved its light sweetness, texture, and flavor!! Highly recommend. Pricing seems right for Santana Row, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt your soul a little when you pay lol. I also feel like their menu isn't super extensive, so the four of us took a while to decide what we wanted to share. However, I feel like that just means they really specialize in their dishes!

Loved the vibrant atmosphere and the spacious indoor + outdoor seating. Service was very friendly, and they walked us through the menu, which we always appreciate. First time here, so we went all in and ordered a little bit of everything - mixed seafood ceviche, sausage paella, tempura shrimp over purple potato cake, roasted eggplant, beef empanadas, and meatballs, plus two glasses of fruity sangria. Everything was flavorful and we were very full by the end...so dessert will have to wait for next time. Favorites: the ceviche, paella, and meatballs.

Don't be fooled by the hip and chic interior. Food is very mid here--we didn't like all single dish here sadly. Everything lacked flavor or was lukewarm. - Mariscos Fritos: 1/5 came out soggy and not even crisp. Asked the waiter if we could have it be remade and it came back extremely overcooked and almost burnt and very crunchy. - Berenjena y Salsa: 1/5 no flavor or seasoning. Too much cheese. And worst, it was not even hot (cries) - Ceviche Mixto: 3/5 needed more seasoning, the portions were good, but the fish was not super fresh imo. Still chewy. - Paella de Marsicos: 2/5 they didn't cook it long enough for it to get that dry crispy bottom. Basically was still mushy like porridge. :/ Service was great and our server was so sweet. Vibes were cool here but food really lacked. I can see how maybe getting drinks after work here would b cool but otherwise I'd skip this spot if you're trying to have good food. Also music was unbearably loud here lol.

Came here to try out their paella, patatas bravas, ceviche, croquette de jamon among other items. The paella we ordered was Paella de Mariscos. It was alright but not as flavorful as I would expect out a good seafood based paella. Also I asked for a more burnt base but it came out still a little too soggy and without the crusty bottom I was expecting. The patatas bravas has a nice crunch to it but the aioli brava drizzles over the potatoes was incredibly little and sparing that we had to ask them to bring out more sauce on the side. Cerviche was fresh and good. I ordered their off menu, mezcal cocktail which has a little stronger tequila concentration than the ones I had in other places. Nice ambiance with modern setup. Like how the restaurant has an "open concept" and you get nice fresh breeze of air coming into the air conditioned restaurant.

    Pitahaya and Pisco Sour
    Christine N.

Santana Row has A LOT of new restaurants and we haven't been to any of them. Well, we knocked off 3 (yes, 3!) in one evening: Suspiro, Augustine, and Zazil. First, Suspiro. They have a "secret" bar, but unfortunately, it was closed for a private event. But the restaurant was so pretty and lively, and the hostess was so nice, that we decided to sit at the regular bar. Suspiro is Peruvian, which meant we had to order the Pisco Sour. We also got the Pitahaya, which had gin, dragon fruit, orange juice, egg white, and a Tempronillo red wine float. Since it was 87 degrees, ceviche sounded good, so we got that to snack on. We agreed that the Pisco Sour at Cascal's is still the best, but Suspiro had the most potential out of the 3 restaurants that we tried tonight. I loved the vibe! The restaurant was just so well designed, we really did feel like we were transported to Spain on a hot, sultry night! The service was good and the ceviche was fresh and a surprisingly large portion. This ended up being our favorite spot of the night. We will definitely be back to try the secret bar!

This is a nice, modern looking restaurant located in Santana Row directly accross the Jardin. Open space indoor seating with a classy but hip and modern vibe inside.the natural wood design look and accents of earthy greens throughout the rrstaurant really give that chill feel. Parking is close by walking distance in the garage. Wait staff is attentive and nice. I ordered togo and the hostess was very helpfull to my order. Cost is not too pricey for what it is

Was really looking forward to trying this new restaurant and the menu looked promising. Beautiful restaurant in Santana Row. We had a very good server and overall had a good service experience, but the food unfortunately was kinda meh. - Jamon croquettas - 4 out of 5 stars, pretty good, though small bites only - Beef empanadas - 2.5 out of 5 stars, flat flavor overall, needed more seasoning and would have benefitted from more of an acidic sauce like a chimichurri - Shrimp with garlic - 2.5 out of 5 stars, overall the dish was bland! Needed flavor or at a minimum more salt. It didn't help it was served on top of basic mashed potatoes. The grilled bread also wasn't toasted or seasoned, so more bland on top of bland. The shrimp was cooked well, but sad it lacked flavor. What a shame! - Mixed ceviche - 4.5 out of 5 stars. Definitely the best thing we had all night. A beautiful plate of mixed ceviche with great flavor, bracing acid and a nice little kick. Definitely also get the taro chips on the side to pair with the ceviche. This was excellent. - Bread pudding 4 out of 5 stars. Quite good, nice flavor and moist paired with some nice cherries. I wish the food was better, but still on the search for amazing tapas.

Well-decorated, modern restaurant in Santana Row! Have been wanting to visit but I think it's always busy here. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I made a reservation for lunch on a friday. It wasn't busy at all. We sat inside and ordered a medium paella de mariscos (shrimp, mussels, squid, aioli) and the ceviche mixto (white fish, shrimp, scallops, octopus, leche de tigre, Rocoto pepper). I thought the ceviche was interesting. The seafood on the paella was delicious although the dish was a bit oily (but expected).

The Winter Experience is a Christmas-themed set-up - very tastefully and beautifully decorated - with Christmas music (even 2 weeks after the New Year). the tables along the edge have small in-table fire pits AND a tall heated furnace - you will not be cold in December. these tables do require a minimum spend of $50 per person, which we came into this expecting that regardless - however, it sounds like you can sit at any of the other tables without this minimum spend, though you will only have a blanket for warmth. the sunset was beautiful, though keep in mind that we do live in a city, and there are other tall buildings around, so don't set your expectations too high. Overall, we are so happy we finally checked this place out, and that we were able to do so during the Winter Experience. We did find it overpriced (considering it's at Hotel Valencia... we weren't surprised) for what you get. I tried one cocktail (~$20) that tasted like a flavored soda, before switching to wine; my husband had 2 Old Fashioned, they were both made differently but both good. The food was good - small, shareable portions. We're happy to have finally stopped in, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come again. HOW TO GET THERE: enter Hotel Valencia from the ground floor; take the elevator to Floor 3; go straight down the hall, pass the front desk on your left, to the second set of elevators; take that to the top floor

When compared to the APRÈS VILLAGE experience at the Four Seasons, it doesn't come close. The food menu is very limited, and food took quite a while to come out. There's also no option to make reservations, which was disappointing and made the experience feel less organized. That said, it's aesthetically pleasing enough for a few social media photos. Beyond that, it's nothing to make a big fuss over, and I can't say I'd go out of my way to return.
