The service is great but the food was not it. I have gone to other sushi stops and they did not taste this way. The fact that the dudes in the back making my food were jerks. When I asked for items they will just laugh like if I was telling a joke or I was speaking another language. I don't know if it was because of a language barrier or they were nervous. Overall the service from my waitress was great and the host in the begging but everything else was pretty horrible and the chicken I got I felt was under cooked. Ambiance was spacious and cool.
Ordered a Yokosuka platter for Superbowl Sunday. Nigiri was decent but the rolls were below average sushi. The crunchy roll particularly tasted stale and old. The rest of the rolls were mid at best. I'm not a sushi snob at all. I enjoy ayce sushi and of course they are not the best quality. I would probably stick to their lunch specials if I were to dine here in the future.
First time at this sushi stop location, and service was amazing! everyone is so friendly and polite. Our server Joey was great! We got our food super fast and there were other workers who were great as well but I didn't get their names. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back
Service was very quick and they have seating both indoors and outdoors, which was nice. The prices are also really cheap, but unfortunately it definitely shows in the quality of the food. We ordered the Crunchy California Roll, Salmon Skin Hand Roll, Salmon Truffle Hand Roll, and Crunchy Rice. The only decent dishes were the Crunchy California Roll and the Crunchy Rice, but even those tasted similar to something you'd grab from a local supermarket to-go section. The Salmon Skin Hand Roll was honestly inedible because the skin was way too tough and hard to bite or chew through. The Salmon Truffle Hand Roll also tasted like it had just come out of the freezer. Overall, pretty disappointed with our experience and I'm not sure if I'd come back.
I was stuck this last time around between their Spicy Pork Ramen and the Chicken Karaage curry. I went with their ramen and the flavor and spice were perfect. I also had the Yuzu roll with sriracha and the Karaage appetizer. The roll was enjoyable, especially with wasabi. The chicken Karaage was ok. I also got to try their spicy edamame which was packed with flavor. I will continue to go back for great food and friendly service.
11/2025 Update.....yes this place is great, wish they offered the Warabi Mochi on the regular menu. Only available when you post a picture on your Instagram. So upset Warabi Mochi is my favorite dessert. Please consider placing it on the menu.
I have been meaning to write this review for some time. After no deliberation, I have easily decided on the maximum five star rating for Sushistop. In a nutshell, the food is always fresh, the staff is attentive and the prices are extremely reasonable. The manager here is spectacular. He always greets us with a smile and the kind of hospitality you would expect at a high-end restaurant. I would have loved to show you his photograph, but he is a humble person and declined. The other thing worth noting about Sushistop is their fun promotions. For example, during Dodger season home games beer and sake are one dollar. They also have a promotion to roll the dice in order to get a discount on beer. All of this adds to the atmosphere which is welcoming and makes me want to return frequently. The location is fantastic because it is located exactly opposite the AMC theater. We love to make a night of it with a movie followed by dinner afterwards. There is outdoor seating, weather permitting , it makes for a very pleasant evening. Lastly, they do have a loyalty program that offers discounts after certain thresholds are met. I wholeheartedly recommend Sushistop in Burbank.
The food was better than I expected, yes I judged it before I tried it, just because of the name! Haha Tried just one roll and it was good the dragon roll. More like an appetizer for me! So close to the AMC and Burbank mall, it was just there and had passed it so many times before until today. Price honestly not too bad for the quality and quantity of food given. Service really good, very attentive to customers. Great little restaurant in the middle of all the other options. Tried the Tonkotsu Ramen and yes it's good, especially if you stop by on a cold day, would hit the sweet spot and your ramen cravings all at once!
We are longtime fans of SushiStop first of all. It's in a great location. It's amazing to be able to go to the movies and get reasonable price sushi customer service is always superb. I love hollie our server. They just added $10 Ramen and also $10 poke bowls and if you know, you know those are generally really, really expensive everywhere else. We are big fans of the shrimp double crunch roll would recommend. You can enjoy eating outside or inside before or after a movie perfectly located right across from the theater.
My friend and I stopped it right at the end of their lunch special yesterday and had some yummy food! The service was great, the two people that seated us and served us were so nice and attentive. My food was so good and flavorful. I would've eaten it all if I hadn't have accidentally ordered the wrong thing But great spot and I'd love to go back in the future.
My friend and I came here for their $9.99 special and it was perfect!! The $9.99 special is good until 4pm everyday. Service was great and we were seated immediately. We also signed up to their loyalty card. It was nice and casual here. I ordered their Poke bowl and it was filling. I love the mini garlic chips(not sure if that what it's called).
Came to SushiStop right after watching a movie and it was the perfect snack!! The rolls are only 4 pieces but sharing them with people and getting a few to try are definitely the way to go. They were really fresh and came out a few minutes after we ordered. Will definitely be back :)
First of all!! This place has major lunch deals! Ramen for $10 and for $12 you can add a drink and salad. Honestly the staff was happy and friendly. You can watch everything in the kitchen as you sit at the bar. A perfect place for lunch or dinner.
I was in the Burbank area and decided to grab some ramen. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu, stuffed jalapeños, and a nice cold beer. The beer was actually a steal I only paid half price after rolling an even number on the dice, which was a fun little promotion. Now, I hate to be that person, but the ramen was just okay. I even asked for it to be extra spicy, but it honestly wasn't spicy at all. It was giving... nothing. The broth was decent, but it definitely lacked the heat I was hoping for. The stuffed jalapeños were also just okay. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out to make me want to come back. Unfortunately, I don't think this would be my go-to ramen spot. read more
We came into SushiStop on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately, which was definitely a plus. Unfortunately, one of the plates we were given was still stained with food, which honestly should have been an immediate red flag. I ordered the Crab Zanmai Combination Plate. From what I could tell, it included a baked crab hand roll, 2 pieces of baked crab sushi, an 8-piece California roll, a soft shell crab roll, and 1 piece of fried soft shell crab. I'm kind of guessing on the exact contents because I couldn't find an actual description on either the menu or the restaurant's website. The soft shell crab was easily the best part of the combo, although that's admittedly a pretty low bar. The hand roll and baked crab pieces were passable. The California roll was more akin to something you'd find in a Ralph's grocery store sushi section than at an actual sushi restaurant. I also had the unfortunate experience of trying the salmon skin roll. The salmon skin may as well have been jerky. It didn't have that light crispness, but was extremely tough and not enjoyable at all. Definitely would pass on that. For basically $30 for this combo, I honestly think you're better off going to an actual sushi restaurant like Aikan. SushiStop is probably fine if you just want quick, cheap sushi, but if you're looking for a meal you'll genuinely enjoy, I'd probably recommend going elsewhere. read more

Fresh and buttery sushi fish at SushiStop Burbank!!! I was very satisfied with my classic rainbow roll and the eel roll. The rolls were a decent size. You can tell the sushi is fresh as the sushi is moist and holds up well in the delivery. I just wish the sushi rice wasn't more moist. I look forward to trying more of their rolls. I will be a loyal customer to SushiStop Burbank and I recommend you are too!!! read more

This place is steps away from AMC and my go to for delicious sushi and chicken teriyaki. There is plenty of parking. The service is always great. And the food is always delicious. They often have great deals like cheap sapporro and sake during Dodger games and Lunch specials until 4pm, during the week. (As of 4/15). Definitely a must try before or after your movie! read more

My second time stopping by this location cause the sushi was good, but this time was taken a back by the server turning me and my bf away after picking up a takeout order. I wasn't aware we couldn't eat our takeout meal outside the empty patio near the exit, because the first time we did we weren't told anything. But the server gave no explanation and rudely told us "you can't do that, you have to go and eat somewhere else" .I got the message loud and clear but I just think they could have approached it a different way. read more

Honestly just a must for us when seeing a movie at the AMC next door. Great for walk ups and groups of all sizes. Indoor and outdoor seating. Always clean, nice service and reasonably priced sushi. There's something for everyone on the menu and the food comes out so fast. We love playing the dice game for our beers. This place is my guilty pleasure, I can never say no to the shrimp tempura roll! read more

Came here for lunch, and it was quite a disappointment. The place itself is nice, clean, and cozy with both inside and patio seating. Very casual dining atmosphere. Server was attentive, but unfortunately, that alone will not cut it for me to return. We ordered the chicken teriyaki rice plate, the chicken beef combo rice plate off their lunch menu, and an order of the rainbow roll. The price to portion ratio for the lunch special rice plates is pretty good at only $9.99, however, it immensely lacked in quality. The rice was very hard and dry, like days old rice imo. The chicken had more of a boiled texture to it. There were moldy a few not so fresh lettuce in the salad, which I forgot to take photos of. The rainbow roll was very small. We will not be returning. read more
This was a fun place to have lunch. Food presentation was cute. Service was warm. Drinks were fun - roll dice to see how cheap your beers are, ha! The restaurant has large windows overlooking a busy urban center. The menu is a bit overwhelming. Hard to find what I like - common rolls. It felt like have decision overload. As other mentioned, the size of the rolls are smaller than usual. Someone said you get to try more rolls this way - I appreciate them putting a positive spin on getting a thin serving. Through social media and email campaigns, they run monthly or seasonal discounts. With the discounts, the deals are better. I go when the deals are live. Or I order the sushi platters where the prices are great. read more

SushiStop is the stop for me! Cool easy unique quality constant flow Japanese Sushi Bar w/ flare and the service to match. I popped in greeted by both hostesses/servers in a double feature night "A Not So Quiet MaXXXine Place" and was glad I did. SushiStop is directly across from the Burbank AMC 16 and one of the first businesses to your right when you exit the parking structure for this outdoor plaza/mall area in Downtown Burbank. You can enjoy your dining experience outside or in, including at the bar which is rarely full. Expect all the classic offering from "basic" rolls like Avocado, Veggie, Avocado/Cucumber to premium and crunch/tempura style. I was pleasantly surprised at all the deals and specials they offered including a Vegan Zanmai platter that is on my list for next time. The hostess/server was kind enough to let me know it would take at least 20 minutes or more to prepare. I ended up with a tofu salad and a cucumber meets avocado roll that was definitely way more cucumber. There wasn't a small dish for soy sauce like you'll recieve or spot near by, but they do have napkins and chopsticks pre-set for you inside. I got creative and not expecting the soy sauce to flow out like a river covered a lot of my roll with it. I enjoyed the food and the wasabi was super powerful! The ginger was solid too, just a little clumpy (not broken apart - huge pieces). Chefs are really friendly, as was my dining experience at this sushi bar of convenience. SushiStop - Burbank does serve beer, wine and sake #HelloDrinkMenu as well as some unique dessert. Stop in for this GameStop owned foodie bar and roll the dice (Chin-Chiro) on some good meals as well as special deals. read more

I had tickets to a special screening at the AMC and came here for a quick bite. Not knowing anything about this place I had no expectation but once I walked in I felt like I was in a little hole in the wall in Tokyo- that's a good thing! They have a game of chance to Play for cheap beer. The servers seemed to help each other out a lot, which added to my experience. Overall the takoyaki was scrumptious and the spicy tuna roll was the perfect bite. I highly recommend. read more

Cheap but safe sushi. Great place for just cheap $5.75-$6.83 classic rolls, $0.99-$3.99 beer (dice roll), and house sake!! With their increase in menu prices, I'm not sure if anything else is worth it. Free 4 hour parking at the parking lot closest to AMC theater. Fun dice roll really gives you the opportunity to get cheap beer!! You can roll for $.99, $1.99, or $3.99. Each drinker rolls each time you order another round. No more $1 Happy Hour beer :( They said it might come back in the future? - Classic 6 piece rolls like California Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll to Eel Roll are around $5.75-$6.83. Decent, safe and cheap. - Their 3pc Nigiri sushi is a fun promo too if you enjoy variety. - edamame comes in a larger portion size than expected. Follow them on IG, or something to get 10%off? We forgot to show them before paying for our beer. read more

Do they still have $1 beers?
There is a dice roll game that can potentially discount a beer to $1. If you roll two dice and get an even sum, then the beer becomes like $2.50, and if you get two of the same number, the beer gets discounted to be $1.
