As most of the reviews pointed out this is a solid Japanese restaurant. The items were not complicated, but the ingredients were fresh and everything was well made. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the seafood and the authenticity of the ingredients. It's a small space with simple decor and friendly service.

Went for the 2nd time and didn't disappoint. My boy loves sushi and having this joint down the streets going to make it easier.

The phrase "hidden gem" has been way overused....and I'm gonna use it again. Sushi Dragon is a hidden gem. I have driven by literally hundreds of times and never even saw the restaurant, despite having been told about their excellent sushi many times by Elite Yelper Gary I. It's tucked away in a strip mall (huge parkng lot in back btw) with no flashing lights or big signs out in front. It's easy to miss; but once you've dined here, it's unforgettable. The three of us sat at the sushi bar. If you're a regular, they will apparantly store your favorite sake in a special locker. Gary I kindly shared his delicous sake with us, as well as some delicous dishes Chef whipped up using ingredients brought in by Gary himself (clam sushi and anglerfish liver). I then went with omakase and loved every morsel of some incredibly fresh sushi. Chef clearly has devoted fans. Other patrons had driven from the South Bay area for his sushi and lots of regulars stopped by. I can see why; I'll be back for sure.

Food is incredible, never fails to hit the spot. We come here way too often lol and for any big occasion! Tommy is the best sushi chef, Beto making all the hot stuff in the back is on fire and the service is 5 stars. The vibe is chill and perfect for night out with friends family or solo.

The sushi here is always amazing. My adult sons brought me here for my birthday. And as usual, we had a super great time. The sushi chef/owner is a very nice guy. His name is Tommy-San. He always greats us with a big smile and is ready to have a friendly conversation. That night we had Omakase sushi, which means that it is the chef's choice on what he serves us. Everything Tommy-San made was amazing! Eventually Tommy-San joined us at our table to celebrate my birthday. He made us oyster shooters to toast my bday. Then in honor of my bday, Tommy-San brought out a special Japanese beer that is not on the menu and I had never seen before. We all toasted and shared the beer. Go visit Tommy-San. You'll be glad you did.

All the other reviews were right when they said this place was a hidden gem. They give generous portions and have friendly service. Sushi was fresh and tempura was grease free. This place quiet and cozy during lunch time. Only downside is they have limited lot parking but there is street parking nearby!

We totally thought we'd have to wait but were able to be seated immediately. We also learned this time that while the parking lot remains ultra packed, there is a large outdoor parking lot the side street over for the businesses there that are closed at night (minus the gym) so I think its fine to park there. Spicy Tuna Okoge 5/5, we came for this and this is what I titled "Crunchy rice spicy tuna appetizer" in my last review, pasted here: very fun, comes cut into 4 pieces, definitely a fun appetizer, our waitress recommended this and said it's one of their more popular items Spicy Salmon cut roll 5/5, mildly spicy but leaves you with a stronger spicy aftertaste, soft and very fresh! We would reorder this! Scallop cut roll 3.5/5, fresh but just felt like it was missing something. I think the scallops need more than just a rice wrap. This was improved with soy sauce I think in the future we'd stick to ordering scallops in a more special roll

To this day, whenever he's in town, I'm there with them, sitting at the bar. The food here is made with love and every item on the menu feels incredibly authentic and flavorful. From sashimi to rolls to the hot dishes, it's all an experience. One of our favorites is the Salmon Toro with Black Caviar- rich, buttery salmon topped with caviar that just elevates the bite. We also love the snapper, uni, oyster uni shooters, soft shell crab hand rolls, and the spicy tuna on crispy rice- honestly, every menu item we've tried has been incredible. And the sweet shrimp (amaebi) is a must. They serve it beautifully fresh and then tempura-batter the shrimp heads so you get that crispy, savory crunch after the delicate sweetness of the shrimp. It's one of those details that makes Chiba so special. Chiba doesn't just serve food, it serves memories. It's fresh, soulful, and just downright delicious. If you love real, honest Japanese flavor, this place should absolutely be on your list.

Dinner AYCE is $35 and if you're willing to compromise a TAD on quality (which makes sense at the price point), then this is your place. The entire menu is on the screen, and you order, and they bring it to you. You also order your drinks and can call your waiter from the tablet. I ordered the teriyaki chicken; the bowl was huge, and it cost about 14 dollars. I thought the portion was great, and I got free miso soup to go along with it, so it was a lot of food. However, I did not think the food was too great. For such a big bowl they put very little sauce, and to top it off, the chicken is dry, so I needed to add a lot of soy sauce and extra teriyaki sauce, which I had to request in order to be able to eat it. I've had better teriyaki chicken from Yoshinoya, unfortunately. The service was great; I got serviced quickly after calling for a server on the tablet, but I also felt she was annoyed on my visit because she looked irritated, and it made me feel slightly unwelcome. I say I would love to return to try the sushi, as they have all you can eat sushi for 30 at lunchtime, but I may take some time to actually try it out after this experience.

In fact, from the outside, this place honestly looks kinda closed down? Scratched, tinted windows, maybe some graffiti, barely any sign of life except for a faint "OPEN" sign doing its best. I swear I *almost* turned around and went home. Inside doesn't change that first impression tbh. No presentation to the menu design, dated decor, very old school neighborhood sushi joint energy. Then the food hits The fish quality is legit. Clean, fresh, and clearly coming from a strong supplier. The preparation is thoughtful and balanced. This is the kind of place where the food completely outperforms the room. (Only real knock: the rice. It's a bit dense / tightly packed.
