Loving the interior! The restaurant was noticeably very clean. I actually appreciate how for once a sushi restaurant is brightly lit instead of being super dim. The wall decor is a 3D mount Fuji and even the painting on the door is of a crane. Very beautiful and thoughtful. The food itself is just as impressive. Portions were great and the sushi was very fresh and presented/made beautifully. Our server was very attentive. Constantly refilling our drinks and checking in on us. Will definitely be back!

Fried Seafood Udon

2/28/2024 Sushiko 4546 El Camino Real Ste A4 Los Altos, CA 94022 We went there for lunch on a Wed around noon. It's in the Village Court plaza at the corner of ECR and San Antonio Rd. The store front faces San Antonio Rd. with parking around the periphery of the shops. Not too many people when we got there and it starting filling up while we dined. Probably no need for reservations. It's a booth and table layout with a smallish sushi bar. They didn't have calamari. Wifey had the stir fried seafood udon and I had the lunch special Bento Box with Saba Shioyaki and mixed Tempura. My Miso soup was thick, flavorful and had some Wakame but no diced tofu, just okay. The udon had a good selection of seafood, including mussels and shrimp. My Saba was juicy and tasty, with some edible pin bones. The mixed tempura was hot and included two sweet shrimp with assorted vegetables having a crunchy and slightly greasy breading. The salad had a mayo dressing and just okay, no sesame or soy flavors. The menu is extensive with sushi, bento and udon selections. The service was good, even with just a single server. The lunch special bento box is a good value. Similar to several other places in the area, it's repeatable.

Love this neighborhood gem! Have been coming here for many years. Friendly service. I love the salmon skin roll - only place besides Morimoto's that does it right - crisp/crunchy without that fishy taste! A favorite during lunch for many in the area. Also love their bento offering, spicy tuna roll is great too!

Came back here again and their service was way better (different servers) who checked on us and made sure we were satisfied with our orders! Edamame wasn't smushy, lightly salted. Rice to everything else ratio was good--Nothing fell apart this time! Happier with this experience than the last!

Came her for dinner on a Monday night and really enjoyed our meal. We got there around 6:30 and found ample parking in the lot. My boyfriend got a large Sapporo and we shared the Titanic, cucumber avocado roll, salmon avocado roll, and salmon scallion roll. We loved everything we got and the fish tasted delicious and fresh. You also get a complimentary bowl of miso soup and a few edamame. It took a bit to get our check just because they got so busy but we absolutely look forward to coming back!

Enjoyed a delicious meal here at Sushiko. We were seated upon our arrival. Service was friendly and helpful as well as timely. The bento meal comes with salad and miso soup. The miso soup had great flavor. The dressing on the salad is how i like it. The tempura was crisp. The tofu agedashi was alright and the vegetable tempura crispness made up for the tofu. If you like bento meals, this is the place in Los Altos!

Nice people, quality food. I had the luxury of stopping by this place mid day for lunch. The stay was nice and polite, with a lot of patience as I try to figure out what I wanted. Establishment was clean, food came out looking perfect (unfortunately I didn't decide to take a pic until I already grabbed a few bites. Food tasted amazing, perfectly made. I'll be back again soon!

I hadn't had sushi like this in a very long time. Sushiko is nicely hidden in the plaza where teaspoon and the pasta market are located in Los Altos. The fish was fresh and the presentation was excellent. I also want to point out how friendly and fast the service was on a Friday evening.

Seated quickly and order was taken. Brought our water out with no ice and half way filled. No silverware for salad or soup. California Roll was not the best. I would give it a 2/5 and spicy Mayo a 1/5. I like different places when I visit different cities. Glad I tried this place but would not come again.

The clay pot rice was the star ..flavorful, comforting, and perfectly cooked. Their chicken karaage is on another level: crispy, juicy, and seriously addictive. Rich in flavor without feeling greasy or heavy. It came with a light fish broth on the side, which was nice for balancing out the richness (although I personally didn't find the rice heavy at all). 2. The pork & mushroom thin-crust pizza was also really good. There was a generous layer of fresh mushrooms and ground pork between two super thin, crispy layers of crust. The crust tasted like it had been pan-fried with oil-and-flour paste, making it especially fragrant, flaky, and crispy. 3. The garlic salad was refreshing and appetizing. The garlic slices were fried until golden and crispy, and the salad had a nice tangy acidity that balanced everything out. Simple but very tasty.

We liked their sister restaurant a little more, but since we live in Mountain View, we'll be coming back whenever we're craving ramen. We ordered the Spicy Tantan and Chicken Paitan Deluxe. Our server recommended medium spice and I'm so glad we listened! It was spicy enough for us, and we actually love spicy food. I don't think we could've handled the spicy level One thing I didn't love about the Chicken Paitan Deluxe was that it only came with chicken on the side. At their sister restaurant, we had chicken both in the ramen and on the side. Here, without the chicken inside, it felt more like chicken broth with noodles. That's why I'm taking off one star. The kids' menu was good too. We sat outside on Castro Street, so I never actually went inside. It looked nice from the outside, but I can't really comment on the indoor atmosphere since I didn't experience it. Outside was just the usual Castro Street vibe, pretty much the same as everywhere else. Overall, we liked it! Not amazing, but definitely good.

We were immediately served by Kenny who was a ball of energy (the good kind) and his enthusiasm was infectious. He was able to make some good recommendations and was attentive throughout the night. The rest of the staff was excellent as well. We all got various udon dishes from sukiyaki broth to tonkotsu. I had the tonkotsu deluxe large and it was excellent.
