[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great place to come with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have options for sushi not lovers as well! Service was good. He was attentive! I always love their rolls to share with friends.

Fresh, delicious sushi. We also got the four season roll but asked to remove the wasabi and it was delicious. Sapporo was thoroughly cold. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a Tuesday at 2 pm and it was a very peaceful, relaxing meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great, friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking may get tight during a rush hour, but easy to find and easy parking during our time. Can't wait to come back

We came here for lunch on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. The staff was nice and our server checked up on us multiple times. We came here at 2 PM, and luckily we just made their happy hour! They have happy hour starting from 2PM - close, so we definitely took advantage and ordered a few rolls on that menu. The sushi was decent, you can definitely tell the different between the happy hour rolls and the specialty rolls. However, the food came out fairly quickly and we left satisfied with our lunch.

One of my favorite sushi places in AZ. It's a great price and also quality food. The restaurant had a lot of seating so there's never more than a 15 minute wait (in my experience). The rolls are so creative. The service is good and they are all really nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good lighting and comfy booths![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love this place! We got the chicken fried rice (huge portion), second climax roll (my fav), Las Vegas roll (classic), and I don't remember the 3rd one . All so yummy!

I'm a big fan of sushi and udon, and this place didn't disappoint me at all. I went there right before the busy lunch time and that was the right decision because this place could be very crowded and that can tell you a lot how good this sushi place is. Lunch menu offers a great deal, good options and reasonably priced. I ordered udon which came with the spicy tuna rolls and it's absolutely delicious. I ended up order another salmon rolls and it's really amazing! The food here is very fantastic, the service is excellent - that's all I needed ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is open space indoor only, they have low or high tables, the long table for a big groups, or the counter sushi area as your choices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm so happy that I found my new favorite sushi restaurant. There are a lot of menu that I would like to try, and yes, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a sushi and udon. For me, I know I will come back for more!

Wow! What a disappointment. This is not legit sushi. Stay away! The rice was hard and dry. The quality of the fish were not fresh. I would not recommend here. One of the rolls I got, might have been a dynamite roll, was soggy. They kept falling apart. Service was good. That's the one star!

Really good! Great prices. EXCEPTIONAL service. Happy hour with liberal hours. Three of us ate for like $60 wow!

    Richard H.

Average compared to other places from where I'm from regarding quality but then again the target audience seems to cater to the younger crowd hence the all day HH menu which wasn't too bad. It met my needs on this 115F day. Service was fast at 4:45 on a weekday.

A girl friend and I were craving some sushi and were looking for a spot in Arcadia that had a good happy hour and Sushiholic fit the bill. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and were immediately seated. Our server did a great job walking us through the menu and was quick to get us our drinks. We loved the large happy hour menu and the variety of drinks, appetizers and sushi options. We order 4 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, crab puffs, gyoza, and garlic edamame, and 4 sushi rolls (2 california rolls, Tootsie Roll, and Shrimp Tempura). Our bill came out to $90 for everything-such a good deal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was tasty, service was great and the resturant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will soon become regulars here.

Fantastic place to get sushi. I've been here two times and both were great experiences. They have lots of seating so typically there's not a wait. Service is prompt and friendly. The fish tastes fresh and they have tons of rolls to choose from. They also have great happy hour deals that can't be beat!

Good sushi - happy hour from 2:00 on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great Service, clean place , nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 40th and camelback. I admit I'm not that adventurous when eating sushi - I stick to tempura rolls squid salad, seaweed salad, tuna and eel - BUT I have been with friends that order the more unusual scary stuff and really love it. And it's affordable for sushi.

exactly what it is. quality sushi at a good price point, no frills, just good servings! highly recommend the sunset roll and the dragon roll. their white fin tuna is also very good! very fast service and attentive.

Back again to my favorite sushi place in town.. still hands down the best place to get great sushi in the city... my personal opinion of course. We had the Las Vegas Roll which is by far my most favorite roll. The tempura shrimp are always amazing, spicy tuna roll and jalapeño popper roll also really good, they unfortunately did have the blue fin tuna belly. But I did get yellow tail belly sashimi, which was buttery and rich in flavor and texture. The service as always was excellent. The wait staff are very professional. The ambience of the restaurant is tasteful and classy like it always is with very nice open seating and a very cool sushi bar.

We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!

I was dining solo and had no trouble finding a seat since there's plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. That said, I was surprised by how quickly the place started filling up after opening, which is always a good sign. One of the first things I noticed was the large sushi bar and being able to watch the sushi chefs at work. There were five of them, which I took as a sure sign this place gets busy. I ordered the spider roll, salmon avocado roll, and steamed edamame. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what I was hoping for. One unique thing about Kodo is their rice blend. They use a combination of black and white rice, which gives the sushi a distinctive purple color. It's not something you see every day, and it definitely makes their sushi stand out. I also have a food allergy, and the staff handled it carefully and without any issues. They offer fountain drinks, which I always prefer. And I liked their plastic to-go container. It kept my leftovers from getting soggy by next day. Easy five stars.

The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. Never got my water refilled, had to flag them down to put in more food, that sorta thing. The vibes- thought the bar was pretty lit and is prob pretty fun during HH. The appetizer was amazing, we each got the crispy rice and I love that each one was a different fish and slightly different flavor. I don't remember which roll we got, I think it was the blue dragon one, but that was delicious, good amount of rice and fish and great flavor. The truffle rib pasta was good as well, the short ribs were cooked perfectly and the flavor on that was insane. I do wish that they would've tossed the pasta in the same sauce the rib came in before adding it to the red pasta sauce. The pasta sauce itself lacked flavor and just tasted like blended down tomatoes. If the pasta had a scoop of the rib sauce too, that would be absolutely insane!! For dessert we didn't have a choice and it was just the miso caramel cheesecake. Now that is some of the best cheesecake I've had in an incredibly long time. I don't taste the miso flavor in the caramel besides the salty sweetness of it but that combo was perfect, especially with the homemade candied pecans. I don't know if the cheesecake was left out or purposefully like that but I love how when the cheesecake was served it wasn't cold! Usually cheesecake is served really cold and kind of like a cream cheese brick you have to cut into it with your fork. But this was barely chilled so the cheesecake was not super cold and it just melts in your mouth. It's so smooth, best dish of the night hands down. This place was very nice and great location. Everything is clean and a great ambience. There's a bar you can sit at when you walk in before you go to the tables. I do think that every side smaller table should automatically have the table lamp for light because it was just too dark to see the menu from my perspective. It looks like great lighting in the pictures because the phone took it in night mode and corrected the lighting but... it's a bit dark and I saw that they do have those modern battery table lamps so I think every table against the wall should have it. Now onto why it's only 4 stars. The service was so beyond incredibly slow. I kid you not we waited 35min at least before our first dish was served and it wasn't even the appetizer, it was the entree rib pasta. You could tell just how short staffed they were and you could hear that there's only 1 sushi chef 1 regular chef and that's it for the kitchen. I don't know who is managing the shift schedule, maybe it's because we came on Memorial Day, but this type of service is not acceptable. I don't take this on the employees at all. They were so incredibly nice and apologetic and doing the best they can and even the front of house was now bussing tables to help out!!! Because they're so busy, I had to keep reminding different waiters for small things like ginger for my sushi 3x, refill on my water, and he almost said we're good to go without paying the check but we didn't even receive our cheesecake dessert yet OR paid the bill. In total it took us 2 hours from sitting down, ordering within 5min, and waiting and waiting and waiting to eat... inexcusable on management

We were in the sushi mood so why not? The only issue is they never ever answered their phone. Why have a phone number if you don't answer it?? Anyway, we decided to take the drive. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Staff invited us to sit where we pleased. Staff brought us water and the menus. The conveyor belt goes around slowly with many sushi, nigiri, dessert and beverages to choose from. Many of the sushi choices are spicy; spicy tuna, spicy sauce and jalapeños. We skipped those. Our choices for the evening were rainbow roll, 3 different fishes, 4 pieces; Sky Crossing roll, Crab mix, avocado, salmon, crunch, white sauce, 4 pieces; salmon nigiri, 2 pieces, & squid salad (forgot to photo). All were delicious and satisfying. I like that there were no worries about leftovers. We could regulate the amount of sushi and nigiri we ate. No doubt we will return before the special is over. In glancing at the menu, the prices are quite reasonable. Shared parking lot.

Sushi was decent but disappointed that there weren't more "fried" rolls. Place was pretty slow but we still had to flag our server over a few times. She's either new or inexperienced. We appreciated the mochi that was offered as a birthday dessert. The restrooms were clean but they didnt offer paper towels to dry hands, and the blower was way too high for my son to reach as were the sinks. It would be great if they had a setp stool in there for the smaller humans. Overall a decent visit.
