1000% YES. Could not give a higher recommendation than Sushiholic. Sushiholic is my go to spot for delicious sushi. They have a mix of sashimi, classic sushi rolls, and baked and deep fried sushi options for those who don't enjoy raw fish. I strongly suggest the Lion King roll. It comes with crab, avocado, celery, baked salmon, eel sauce, and spicy mayo on top. It you're looking for great bang for your buck, weekdays at lunch time you can get bento boxes for $12-13. They come with your choice of protein: salmon teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, and pork katsu. You can pick your choice of sides: edamame, gyoza, crab puffs, seaweed salad, and more. The bento box also comes with a salad, miso soup, rice, and a fresh, sliced orange. It that's not your style, the lunch specials also include a sushi combo with sashimi and sushi rolls. Solid sushi place! The only thing i didnt ljke was their Scallops which was bland but everything else was delicious and prices great. We were all stuffed by the end of dinner between 6 ppl and 2 hot sakes. Bill came out under $300. We definitely ordered a little too much. Management and service was also great. The cucumber salad was very unique it was sweet rather than its usual spicy. The crispy rice was good the jalapeño adds a nice touch. Spicy salmon roll was very good the salmon is very good quality. The first love roll was good as well the cucumbers used in both of them had a very nice crunch. The service was good no complaints ambience was a little interesting and their light needs to be fixed it kept flickering. read more

OMG we loved this place!! Vibes are amazing. They always have happy hour with multiple options to chose from. I tried the one with lobster so it was on the "pricier" side but it had a pretty decent amount and it was delicious that we ordered twice to share. They also have good drinks. Will def coming back! We ordered many items : Yakisoba, baked Lobster Roll, Climax Roll, Fresh Wasabi, Rainbow Roll, & Shrimp Tempura. I feel like fresh wasabi is a delicacy and I always enjoy it. The lobster roll was good. There was healthy amount of lobster on top of the roll. The yakisoba was a family fav. Everyone enjoyed. The climax and rainbow roll had fresh fish. There is a long wait even if you sign up on the Yelp waitlist. I believe we waited 45 minutes after arriving which is hard to keep a toddler occupied when it is dinner time. Nice restaurant of decent size. There are two sides to the restaurant the main dining room and the bar side. We sat in the back of the bar side with really dim lighting. read more

The overall experience was bad. From the start, at the door no one greets you which is off putting. At least 5 different staff members looked at us without acknowledgment. I've been coming here for years and the food during my last experience was just not what it used to be. Something tasted very off in the calamari like it has been stored improperly or just isn't fresh at all. The server was fine. Would no longer recommend this place for anything. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside but deliciousness is waiting inside! Staff is extremely friendly. There is bar seating as well as dining room. Open late - so nice. We started with the cucumbers and potstickers which were very tasty, followed by the Yellowtail w/jalapeño and ponzu sauce...so good. Main entree was 911 Roll and chicken Katsu curry w/rice. First of all, I love that this place is open so late. I love being able to go eat at 9 or 10pm. Second, the fish is very good. The ponzu was amazing, it had the right ratio of everything and it tasted great! The sushi was great and my husband, who is not a fan of raw fish, loved it. Sushiholic is a great value for good sushi. I had lunch there today for $12.95 plus tax and tip which is very reasonable. That included: a shrimp tempura roll, a crunchy California roll, and two piece of tuna nigiri. Honestly you would pay way more at AJ's Fine Foods for lesser quality and certainly not freshly made. These were freshly made and tasty. Service was fast and solicitous. I was in and out in under 40 minutes which is great when you need to get back to work. They also have Bento box lunch specials for that same price which looked excellent as well. I believe these specials are dine in only. They also have a pretty good Happy hour which they reduce prices on several of their rolls and other items. Parking can be a bit of a challenge here. Lot is small and it fills up pretty fast. And there really is not a close lot for overflow. read more

Sep offered to pick some tastes for us and they were some of the best fish bites I've had in Arizona. Excellent quality fish, great balanced bites and all for great price. I personally don't like sushi usually; I don't like the texture of raw fish. This place has a good variety of different kinds of foods that aren't just sushi. I love their wontons and spicy garlic edamame. I got a bunch of stuff (definitely already forgot everything I got) and everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. The service was great and quick both times I've been there. It gets a little loud but that's just because it's always full of people. His contained teriyaki chicken, potstickers and spicy crab roll. He enjoyed all of them. I had the pork Katsu, cucumber salad and the spicy tuna roll. Which were also very tasty. Loved the sushi, and the prices! Definitely a must stop for happy hour prices on appetizers and sushi rolls. Not only was everything delicious, but it was fair priced and we were able to get multiple items to try and enjoy the crab puffs were my favorite part as they had a great amount of filling and just the right amount of cream cheese to crab ration. The service was friendly and fast both times we stopped by and the entire restaurant had a really nice feel to it. Calm and cool but yet trendy. We will surely be back! read more

The appetizer was amazing, we each got the crispy rice and I love that each one was a different fish and slightly different flavor. I don't remember which roll we got, I think it was the blue dragon one, but that was delicious, good amount of rice and fish and great flavor. The truffle rib pasta was good as well, the short ribs were cooked perfectly and the flavor on that was insane. I do wish that they would've tossed the pasta in the same sauce the rib came in before adding it to the red pasta sauce. The pasta sauce itself lacked flavor and just tasted like blended down tomatoes. If the pasta had a scoop of the rib sauce too, that would be absolutely insane!! For dessert we didn't have a choice and it was just the miso caramel cheesecake. Now that is some of the best cheesecake I've had in an incredibly long time. I don't taste the miso flavor in the caramel besides the salty sweetness of it but that combo was perfect, especially with the homemade candied pecans. I don't know if the cheesecake was left out or purposefully like that but I love how when the cheesecake was served it wasn't cold! Usually cheesecake is served really cold and kind of like a cream cheese brick you have to cut into it with your fork. But this was barely chilled so the cheesecake was not super cold and it just melts in your mouth. It's so smooth, best dish of the night hands down. This place was very nice and great location. Everything is clean and a great ambience. There's a bar you can sit at when you walk in before you go to the tables. I do think that every side smaller table should automatically have the table lamp for light because it was just too dark to see the menu from my perspective. It looks like great lighting in the pictures because the phone took it in night mode and corrected the lighting but... it's a bit dark and I saw that they do have those modern battery table lamps so I think every table against the wall should have it. Now onto why it's only 4 stars. The service was so beyond incredibly slow. I kid you not we waited 35min at least before our first dish was served and it wasn't even the appetizer, it was the entree rib pasta. You could tell just how short staffed they were and you could hear that there's only 1 sushi chef 1 regular chef and that's it for the kitchen. I don't know who is managing the shift schedule, maybe it's because we came on Memorial Day, but this type of service is not acceptable. I don't take this on the employees at all. They were so incredibly nice and apologetic and doing the best they can and even the front of house was now bussing tables to help out!!! Because they're so busy, I had to keep reminding different waiters for small things like ginger for my sushi 3x, refill on my water, and he almost said we're good to go without paying the check but we didn't even receive our cheesecake dessert yet OR paid the bill. In total it took us 2 hours from sitting down, ordering within 5min, and waiting and waiting and waiting to eat... inexcusable on management

Overall, I really enjoyed it, although the eel was probably my least favorite of the flight just personal preference. The crispy tuna rice was easily the star of the meal! Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly, cool, and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The great service, fun atmosphere, and crispy tuna rice are enough for me to give Full Moon Izakaya another try. Next time, I'll be exploring more of the menu!

To simplify the food was bland the service was blander and the Ambience at least made it a good conversation environment.

It's well placed amounst popular resorts, endless choices of golf courses, high end shopping, Spas and other eateries. For our of state visitors it is located in an area that provides a great destination for conferences and vacation launching point to enjoy what Scottsdale has to offer. Parking 5/5 There is a great turn-about like drop off near the front door I took advantage of. Other semi private parking is located along the west and south in front and behind the restaurant. Ambiance 5/5++ After passing through the foyer, you're greeted by staff receptionists who quickly get your experience started. The restaurant opens up to a large open dining space that includes an impressive "baresk" wrap around serving counter which allows guests to experience and interact with the kitchen staff. Adjacent to the main dining area is a very trendy wraparound bar and a little more intimate lounge with tables for guest meetups, date nights, after business meetings or relax after playing 18 holes at a nearby course. Facing the bar is the wine cellar, a floor to ceiling long glass presentation of their collection. We started off with a large sake bomb paired with a Kirin Light ($15). We then ordered two Tonkotsu Ramens, one medium spice and one hot spice ($15.99 each). Honestly, the hot spice level did not taste spicy at all, so I would recommend going extra hot if you like spice. They also provide chili powder on the table if you want to add more spice yourself. The ramen broth itself could have used a tad more flavor. I lightly added some soy sauce to the broth which is something I often do to add a little kick. I loved all of the toppings included, from the green onions to the kikurage (wood ear mushroom). My favorite part was the pork chashu, which was really tender and delicious. I also appreciated that the ramen came with a full soft boiled egg rather than half an egg, and the egg was perfectly runny. Before leaving, we ordered their tea special that was buy one get one. We got a matcha milk tea and a cafe latte which I forgot to take a photo of. I felt like the cafe latte could have used a little more sweetness to balance it. Also, I found it neat that Nishikawa offers a rewards program, not something I see often at ramen shops. The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.
