Salmon teriyaki, soooooo good and flavorful
    Sophy P.

I haven't had sushi in awhile and was craving it. I decided to order from this new place I never seen in Newmarket before. Their pictures and prices intrigued me. I got the salmon bento box which was PLENTY of foooood! It comes with rice, Salmon teriyaki, 2 shrimp temperas, 4 veggie tempura, 2 beef gyoza, 6 pcs of california roll or spicy salmon or spicy crab and a pop for 14.99. I chose the spicy salmon rolls and added an order of 2 pieces of takoyaki for 1.59 Everything was so fresh, tasty and still piping hot. I was struggling to finish. The only thing I didn't like was the broccoli tempura which was a bit overcooked and too mushy for my liking. The other pieces of tempura were absolutely still crispy and delicious. I think I really liked the eggplant tempura - the texture and taste was so different from the normal tempura veggies at other restaurants. The takoyaki was sooooooo gooood. I think this place will be a new favorite around town with the amazing prices and quality of the food. The prices are soooooooooo much better than my normal sushi go to places - LIKE their black dragon rolls are around 6.99! WHAT!?! A deluxe sushi for under 7 bucks IS A STEAL. There was soooo much food ordered that didn't break my pockets and with the prices so low - i can order it again in the same weeeeeek guys. Like WOW. Also, their lunch specials are so much more affordable than other places and guys - trust me I LOVE MY SUSHI just not when it breaks the bank and sorry if I'm a bit too excited but I am so thrilled this new sushi joint is here to satisfy all my cravings now. Happy eating fellow yelpers! Stay safe and support your local businesses! xoxo.

Best sushi place in the Newmarket area. And the owners are so friendly. If I were able to give a higher rating I would.

Had the AYCE weekend lunch ($30). Amusingly, you have to accept terms of service. There's no…read moredescription for many of the rolls. The cooking is generally decent, though the chicken skewer was dry & the udon soup tasteless. The sushi is above average in that the rice is noticeably warm & there's not too much of it, but it falls apart easily & there's not that much fish either. The meal came with a complimentary beef tataki. The sauce was heavier than usual - a bit fruity & quite acidic. It was pretty good. They have unusual dishes like yam fries, spicy miso soup & potato croquettes. They have one of smallest portions for sesame chicken for AYCE sushis, but definitely the largest sushi pizza portion. Dessert was a mixed bag. The sundae was good with crispy cookie crumbs & chocolate sauce. However the fried banana was below average (too soft, with too much artificial banana flavour) & the ice cream had more ice crystals than average.

Meh. It was okay. If I was in the area again, would I come back? Likely not…read more The service was excellent, so I'll given them that. The food looked great but I was left questioning what I ate. I had ordered the red dragon roll which, to me, should be topped with salmon. I don't know what it was but it sure wasn't salmon. I tried a piece of fish by itself thinking that maybe I would be able to figure it out but it was so nondescript that I couldn't. I thought maybe it was tuna due to its texture but it didn't taste like it. It really didn't taste of anything. Others opted for the lunch special bento box and they seemed pleased with their choice. The lunch bento boxes are good value for money and I wished I'd gone with the instead. Oh well, live and learn. The restaurant was clean and like I said, the service was excellent.

Food 3.5/5 Service 3/5…read moreAmbience 3.5/5 An attractive clean looking restaurant with dine-in and take-out. The restaurant has several menu items for sushi and Korean foods and offers a menu of lunch specials. We ordered: Takoyaki Lunch BBQ salmon Donburi Tonkatsu Curry I enjoyed the Takoyaki. The size of the pieces of octopus was decent. My partner enjoyed the Tonkatsu Curry. The curry sauce came in a separate bowl. The best part of the BBQ Salmon Donburi was the avocado, which they gave a generous serving of avocado. In the Donburi, I thought the sushi rice was underwhelming and bland. The BBQ salmon was over barbecued and sooo dry it could not be saved by the lime aioli and teriyaki sauces. Our friend who ordered the sushi really enjoyed their appetizer. Service: This is the first time I can recall that there is no complimentary green tea offered when dining in at a restaurant offering sushi or Korean food. We asked for water and our friend ordered a beer. At about 15 minutes later, the beer was served. After the food arrived, still no water. We asked for the water again, and four little Chinese tea cups of water (100ml) was served. I don't know if this is standard at this restaurant but it stood out as very unusual in my experience. Plenty of parking right outside the restaurant. The restaurant is at the end of a plaza. There was a sign at the door for a sushi platter special on Wednesdays $49 that looked promising. I wanted to like the restaurant more because the dining in area was very pleasant.

A hidden gem in the area! It's a small restaurant at the corner of a plaza and only has a few…read moretables. The sushi and sashimi are fresh and quite good quality for the prices. I have had the bara don with ikura as well as some of their lunch specials. Staff are friendly and provide attentive service. I think it's a good takeout option as well.
