    Poke Poke

Located in Scarborough, in a plaza filled with Asian restaurants, Poke Poke is the new kid on the block, with a soft opening on December 26th, 2021. Their delicious Poke offerings bring something new and fresh to the area. It took me a while to decide but I finally settled on their Aloha Poke Bowl (Honey Ginger Salmon, Crabmeat Salad, Seaweed Salad, Pineapple, Edamame, Masago) and it was absolutely delicious! There were lots of choices for toppings and sauces and I'm pretty sure I chose right. It was delicious! Everything on the menu looked so appealing. The staff were all very friendly and more than willing to explain everything on their menu. I'll have to come back!

Our diverse restaurant community continues to grow and new options are popping up all over the city. Finally a dedicated poke place in Scarborough. The place was only serving takeout due to Ontario's step 2 restrictions. We ordered the large signature Maui Maui and Californication bowls. You have option of white rice, brown rice, cauliflower rice, soba noodles ($1 extra) and mixed greens. The large order gave us 3 scoops of protein. Maui Maui was spicy salmon and Californication had salmon and ahi tuna. Very generous portions and bowls were filled to the top. There was soft opening special giving 10% off the order. The pricing for signature bowls: regular $13.00 and large $16.50. If you have a big appetite or want to share, the large is definitely best option. Regular size is good for lunch sized meal. Will come back and try other signature bowls. Great healthy meal and reminds me of the Hawaiian Poke I had in Waikiki. Go check them out you won't be disappointed.

A beautiful newly opened poke shop in Scarborough that I HAD to try after hearing such great reviews from friends and on Yelp. I went on a Sunday minutes after they opened and there were already 5+ people ahead of me but the service was quick. I went when they had a promotion: buy a regular bowl including a drink for $10 with the option of adding $1 to upgrade to an Arizona drink. I ordered the Maui Maui and loved it! The regular size was more than enough for lunch and probably would be two portions if I ordered the large. They gave generous amounts of fish (the spicy salmon tasted very fresh as the fish is shipped daily), fresh vegetables and many sauces to choose from. I chose the creamy shichimi sauce to pair with the spicy salmon in my bowl; overall thought the sauce was a great addition to all the garnishes as well. The bowl was surprisingly spicier than I anticipated and that's where the drink came in clutch. The staff were all very friendly, cracking jokes the whole time and was overall a great experience. I will definitely be back to try the californication or the ebi!!

I saw the storefront for Poke Poke a while before they opened and was really excited to try this place. They are located in one of the Midland and Finch plazas, almost at the very back where it's a bit emptier and less busy. We got to Poke Poke an hour before they closed and they were pretty busy. You can order a signature bowl or create your own poke bowl. We ordered bowls of the Californification and the Maui Maui. When we went they were already out of all their rices except for their brown rice. The bowl also included a salad, a variety of toppings you can choose from, and your choice of sauces. The service was a bit slow but they were busy and it's a newer spot. Taste wise both were really good and the fish was fresh. However we did prefer the Californification. The portions for the bowls were really good! We got large for both bowls and they lasted for two meals. I'm really glad this place opened up as there aren't any poke spots like this in Scarborough as far as I know.

Too little salmon for 5 dollars, honestly it was like 30 grams.... Actually looks much bigger in the picture than real life. But as for the poke bowls they were decent, we have come here a couple times and it was great. Some of the salmon this time did tasty fishy, not sure what happen there since it was end of day Friday and fridays are busy. Also the cucumbers were flavourless but the crabmeat was great still! I'd definitely come back eventually, just not in the near future since I felt like we got ripped off with the salmon .

There's plenty of salmon and tuna under all those toppings

Service: 5/5. Friendly! I had never tried (nor seen) spicy Wakame salad before and was offered a sample before adding it to my poke bowl. I opted to just get it anyway, but appreciated the extra step of offering that try I it first, if I wanted... And on that note: Spicy Wakame Salad is SO GOOD!!! will be getting it on everything! Portion is good. I got a small (regular? Only 2 sizes) and it's so filling! Ingredients tasted fresh too. The salmon and the tuna have cucumber mixed in already. I'll be back to try the shrimp and octopus next time. I hope that when I come back, their unagi sauce will be available. That's all that was missing from my poke today.

NEW SCARBOROUGH POKE SPOT! Poke Poke recently opened up in Scarborough! It was fun visiting and trying out one of their poke bowls along with some foodie friends. Here's how it went... ---- The Breakdown: Food: Californication | $13 (regular) | 9/10 - got brown rice topped with salmon, avocado, etc. i had nori, as garnishes. if you like taking pics of your food, i recommend having the nori put in one spot. for sauces. this really brought the dish together. the fish and vegetables were fresh and the whole meal was so filling (ps. i got a regular). i love how they cut their veggies fresh too. Interior: 9/10 when you enter, you're greeted with a cute green wall (perfect spot for pics), a small seating area and a spot where they take your order. you can watch as they put together your poke bowl too. loved visiting this spot! Follow @debeats_ on Instagram for more new food spots

Decided to check out this new poke spot after hearing good things! First off, when entering there is a neon sign that makes it cute for taking your foodie pics. Overall the place is pretty small with not much seating area, and mainly for ordering to go. Asked the cashier for recommendations and ended up ordering the 'californication' with salon, tuna, crabmeat salad, avocado, seaweed salad, mangoes and masago. This particular one was on the sweeter side but still really good. Got the regular size and it was fresh and still super filling. Definitely would like to come back and try their other signature bowls!

Saw this newly opened poke place in Scarborough where we don't have too many poke places nearby. I had a deal on DoorDash so I decided to order from here after seeing such great reviews on Yelp. We got a large size Californication bowl and wow do they load it up with ingredients! It comes with salmon and tuna, mango and avocado, and you can pick your own sauces and toppings on top of that. Everything was super fresh, satisfying and refreshing - will definitely be back another time to try another one of their signature bowls!

Spot review: when I tell you they fill them up they really do FILL EM UP! I never know what to choose so I always like asking what their favourite item is on the menu and the two I got were the... OG Californication They were both extremely delicious and it filled up my stomach so fast! Between the two I defiantly prefer the Californication only because I have a sweet tooth and it's a tad bit sweeter! I've also been leaning towards getting healthier foods in 2022 so I'll be visiting for sure :D (P.S. I barley edited this photo... it looked that BOMB) Save to try later

Poke Poke just recently opened their first location in Skycity Shopping Centre (Midland). The fish are well-marinated, the portion is huge & generous, most affordable, and unlimited garnishes & sauces. What can you ask for more?! We tried 2 Signature Bowls: - Maui Maui: Half mix green and brown rice, topped with Spicy salmon, spicy seaweed salad, spicy cucumbers, edamame, grape tomatoes, and masago. Garnish with nori, watermelon radish, and jalapeños, drizzled with yuzu shoyu and spicy aioli sauce. If you like spicy, this bowl is perfect for you! Look at the huge chunk of fish! - O.G : Half mix green and brown rice, topped with Classic salmon, seaweed salad, avocado, corn, edamame, and masago. Garnish with crispy onions, crispy garlic, tempura bits, watermelon radish, jalapeños, green onions and nori, with variety of sauces, wasabi mayo, miso sesame, unagi, and shoyu. The toppings choice are perfect!! And you are able to substitute 1 topping if you like. I'd say this is the most mind-blowing poke spot I've ever tried!! Super tasty and filling. Definitely try it out! You'll have a fantastic day for sure!!

Otoro (fatty tuna belly) Valentine's bowl

Bang for buck! I saw people posting on Instagram talking about good service, but I was skeptical. Then I walked in and honestly, especially given that they're predominantly takeout in nature, the service was impeccable. I've been there a few times, and it's always that great service. BUT THE FOOD. Their large size is the heaviest bowl of poke I've ever had. It's an actual brick, in the best way possible. At about $16, it was my dinner, then still had enough for Dad and I both to have lunch. There was a generous amount of fish, and all the fish and veggies and everything else was fresh. Their signature bowls are very well crafted, with loads of toppings too. I also had their otoro Valentine's Day special (no longer available) and the otoro (fatty tuna belly) was melt in your mouth deliciousness. The bowl they put it in was super special too. I saved it. Now that I'm writing about it, I want another poke bowl. Halp!

3.8 / 4 Nice yelp reviews and was in the area decided to give it a try. Got the Aloha bowl very fresh toppings liked the pinaple chunks adds to that Hawaiian vibe. The portion of toppings was more than the rice which was fine unless you like rice more. Very friendly staff and will try again if in the area.

Pokito is a Hawaiian restaurant/take out joint located along Queen St. W. near Spadina Ave (close…read moreto Cameron St.). They've been a staple for poke in the area for years, however, their menu has expanded to include more Hawaiian foods like plate lunches and snacks (like onigiri and spam musubi). I recently stopped by Pokito to pick up take out for dinner as I had stumbled upon a $10 coupon from the restaurant over Facebook. Upon entering, the space is inviting and warm, with wooden accents throughout the space. There are several tables if you'd like to dine in. The menu is large and they also have daily deals as well. In the small fridge display they have a sample of their poke on display along with other items like onigiri, desserts, and drinks. Their poke bowls are likely the most popular items to be ordered but definitely don't skip out on the plate lunches as well! I opted to grab a garlic shrimp scampi plate lunch (tail-on shrimp sauteed in buttery garlic sauce on rice (can choose between white or brown rice) with mac salad and a salad slaw) for $22.50. I did have $10 off my order which was great. If you sign up for their rewards program you also get other deals as well (the next deal I get is 50% off a plate lunch for a limited time!). My order was made fresh which took about 5-10 min. I didn't mind as I just sat down to wait. Service was friendly and efficient. I had my garlic shrimp scampi plate lunch for dinner. Beware that the shrimp is really garlicy and delicious! Just be careful if you need to talk to someone afterwards because they will smell it. The rice absorbed some of that garlic flavour which made the rice even better. The mac salad was great and the salad slaw helped to cut through everything as well. Portions were large and I was full afterwards. Overall, a great place for Hawaiian plate lunches (and I'm sure poke as well!) in the Queen/Spadina area. Definitely will return to try more of their plate lunches as well as poke.

I had the spicy garlic ahi and the original ahi, and the tuna was so fresh I half expected it to still be swimming. It melted in my fat little mouth like it was apologizing for every bad life choice I've ever made. This honestly rivaled poke I've had in Honolulu, which is terrifying because that means I no longer need Hawaii--I can now die broke and mercury-riddled right here at home. The spicy ahi hits hard too. Caucasians, if you've ever cried during a Taco Bell mild sauce packet, you should probably update your life insurance before ordering. My only critique? More sides and toppings. If I'm going to spiral into heavy-metal toxicity, I want to do it with reckless abandon and at least three different crunchy things sprinkled on top. Still, this place is so good I'd happily shave a few years off my life expectancy for another bowl. Who needs retirement when you've got poke like this?

I changed things up and visited the food court at Atrium on Bay. It was nice seeing several stalls open at around 4:30 pm. It was a toss-up choice between My Sushi or Fusia Asian Kitchen. I looked at the former's menu and liked what I saw. An early dinner from My Sushi, it was! You can get a bunch of sushi rolls. There were many options. I took one look at the poke menu and knew I needed a bowl. I got a regular. You can also do a large. A Chinese couple owns this business. The man took my order. The woman prepared my bowl. The man was helpful and nice. He said that I could do rice or salad, or half of each, if I liked. I went with salad. For the sauce, I chose teriyaki. I also got a Diet Coke. I waited patiently for my food. It didn't take too long. The woman asked if I needed a plastic bag. I waived it off, as I was going to rip open and devour my food at the food court. I cracked open my can of Diet Coke. It was cold and hit the spot. I loved my poke bowl. The salmon was fresh and yummy. The mandarin oranges were a nice twist. They brightened this bowl significantly. There were crispy green bits that I enjoyed, but I didn't know what I ate... lol The greens are iceberg lettuce. I would have liked mixed greens, but the crisp lettuce worked out surprisingly nicely. The half-avocado's presentation was amazing. It was cubed and fanned out. This find was awesome! I would love to return for more. The regular-sized poke bowl was perfect. Down the road, I can see my getting a large. Perhaps I'll try the sashimi next. I love sashimi! (197)
