Everything is nice and fresh and of course they cook it in front of you! (If it's fried hehe) I ended up getting the admiral roll and omggggggggg H E A V E N Y A L L! So I have came here several times now, and it's always super delicious! I used to live in Orlando, and there was a similar style place called Sushi Eat Station. I was so excited when I heard Tulsa was getting our own create-your-own-roll restaurant. The ordering girls are always AWESOME regarding customer service! Super sweet and helpful. :) My sushi creations are always great tasting as well! My one and only complaint is that every single time we have been here, we create our own rolls and then get glared at by the guys making the rolls. It's almost like they are irritated at what we chose to put in the roll.... I am just kind of disappointed at this being it is supposed to be your own creation. I feel judged by them- one time my fiancé and I literally watched the guy mouth "WTF" when they were reading our order ticket. That's my only reason I just can't give this place five stars. read more

Okay, so my mom and I were running errands at Aldi; and I was STAR...VING. Mom wasn't going to eat because she's fixing food, and so will I, but hubby gets home later. I see, in passing, that Sushi fork is open. I pull in and go inside. It's a small, non-descript, but casual/trendy in ambiance little "strip mall" food place. The colors were bright and contrasted well to convey a sushi place. I was greeted at the register by a female employee who welcomed me and asked how she could assist me. I explained it was my first time inside, and she showed me how to order. It's a simple process but a bit overwhelming if you just go inside and are expected to order right away. Lol. Basically, they have appetizers, drinks, recipe rolls, a sushi burrito, and what excited me; a roll your own option. After I clarified the price with her (soy option is 1.00 higher, but I prefer traditional wrap anyway); I gave her my choices: raw tuna, avocado, cream cheese. Then she asked if I wanted any more fillings, as if what I ordered wasn't enough items. So I thought and added bacon, but in hindsight, for my roll...not what I will do again. It tasted fine but was a taste I didn't want in my roll. So, my order was processed and change was given and I waited for my fresh roll of sushi to be created. I was asked if I wanted wasabi and ginger, so if you like those and aren't asked if you want it, be sure to ask because I bet they only give it upon request. I like it and both were fresh. I was thanked for my visit and I went to my car and enjoyed while my mom got her haircut next door. My impression on the food was that it was fine. It is way better than pre-rolled, store bought, but not as good as a sushi restaurant that comes complete with ambiance and experience. The rice was a little gummy, but not so bad it was inedible. The fish had a fresh taste and was not off putting at all. The avocado was firm enough to bite, but smooth enough you could tell it was ripe. The bacon looked like fresh bacon bits that you buy for salad. It tasted fine but as I explained before, it just didn't compliment my roll, which was basically a philly roll but with tuna instead of salmon. I say if you're one of those "this store roll would be great, IF..." type people; you'll adore sushi fork! read more

It wasn't terrible, but the sushi wasn't anything mind-blowing. It just gets a passing grade from me. Service was quick (as someone else said, it's like the fast food of sushi) and the restaurant was clean. But the food itself was average, and kind of Americanized to be honest. The "make your own roll" concept was interesting though, and I guess for being an express sushi place it's decent. I've eaten at better places, but I'd come back if I wanted a quick order of some sushi to go. For the low prices, it's not that bad. read more

Okay, first things first, let's talk about the bad about this place. Wait, don't go knocking this place out of your next food break yet. The only bad thing for me was I didn't know if they were open or not. When the sun is glaring into the glass windows, I couldnt really see if there were people inside or not. Plus there's no open sign. They never updated any of their social media pages (that I can tell/see). So the sad, ridiculous people that we are, we sat in oufront of the store for about 5 minutes bickering and arguing who was gonna go and see if the door is unlock and that they are open. You know how no one wants to look stupid if the door is lock? Yeah, we didn't wanna be the chosen one. But that's really all the bad I can say about my first experience at Sushi Fork. Now let's talk about the good stuff, food! We ordered 3 rolls, 2 sushi burritos and 1 wicked tuna nachos. Let's start from my favorite to least favorite. The Wicked Tuna Nachos was so bomb. The nachos, for as far as I can tell were made from fried wonton wrappers or something similar. Regardless of what they were... BOOMB AF. The sauce was great as well. I didn't think I'd like it too much because I'm not a big fan of raw fish. Oh boy was I wrong. Second I liked best were the sushi burritos. Very filling and yummy. Although, I would've liked it better if they put the sauce IN the burritos and not on the side but minor minor thing. Third but definitely not least we're the rolls. They were good but like any sushi place, they weren't like super special or anything. Just basic good sushi rolls. I also like that they didn't seem to be cheap with their ingredients. Of course that could be because they are new and don't really know how to portion each item yet but I'm not complaining. They were very generous wit the avocado (they put 2 slices on top of our Baby Dragon Roll, I know, pretty sweet of them) and there was so much Tempura Mix on my Hot Mess roll, I had to take a couple bites. If you can't tell by now, I would definitely recommend this place to others and I will be back soon myself. read more

I ordered the kimchi fries and they were not good. The fries were hard and cold and the Kimchi was sour and bland. I sure wish we had one of these in Atlanta. It's a great express sushi concept with the service and food quality to back it up. This is my first time in. You can either pick a roll or make your own. There are a lot of fried and cream cheese based roles, which I'm not a fan of, so the girl taking my order helped me build my own. She was super friendly and very helpful. Everything came out to my table very fast and tasted delicious. They even have Asahi and Saki, which is great! The staff stayed busy when not taking orders by keeping the restaurant clean and checking on guests. Overall an A+ experience. read more

I just recently tried sushi fork. The atmosphere is very clean and well kept. There's a general cheesiness of the place with their sushi fork utensils, but oh well! I ordered the miso soup, edamame, philly roll, and California roll. I asked the staff if the California roll was pollock (I'm kosher) and she looked at me like I was crazy. Long story short, they use an imitation shredded Krab. They did however help my friend out with her food allergy. The miso soup was good, but VERY salty. In fact nearly all their food is overly salt, even for Asian food. The philly roll and California roll were decent, but not fresh tasting. Edamame was good, but how can you mess that up?! My friend ordered a roll with mango and pop rocks?! She loved it, but that's a little too gimmicky for me! Overall, this is like the fast food of sushi. Not bad, but not the best. If you're looking for a cheap and delicious sushi experience, Sushi Hana on Brookside has a really good happy hour. read more

First time to this sushi place in Tulsa Hills on a Saturday night. We wanted to try something new since we usually go to the Blaze (awesome pizza btw). Sushi here is mediocre; but the decoration, service, and food presentation was good (hence the 3 stars). You order your food, they make it, and you pick it up at the end of the counter. I agree with other reviewers that the sushi rice is gummy/too mushy. Price wise, it's not super expensive, but I don't think it's worth what you pay.. it's moderately priced (although there are some happy hour sushi places in OKC that'll get you better quality sushi for cheaper). Now down to what we ordered based on yelp recommendations/ what we were feelin' : 1. Kaptain Krunch Burrito- probably by favorite thing from what we ordered (not saying much), but for $11, I feel like it should have had more filling and less rice. Had some mayo on the side that tasted kinda just like regular mayo and not the sushi kind used to make spicy mayo. 2. Wicked Tuna Nachos- made from fried wontons that were crispy, but I feel like it was weird that the chips were cold. It was just okay for a $5 appetizer. Good sized portion. Sauce drizzled on top was good and kinda sweet. 3. Hot Mess Roll- people raved about this roll on the reviews, so maybe I hyped it up for myself, because it definitely fell flat in my opinion. Definitely looked better than it tasted. The spicy imitation crab on top wasn't that flavorful and the wonton chip was the same as the one from the tuna nachos. Great presentation of the roll though.. $9 Overall, I would only eat here again if I was desperate for sushi.. seems like there's not that many places in Tulsa for good sushi unfortunately. It's not real crab it's "krab" but it does taste good and we've always enjoyed our rolls from there. If you order a side of white steamed rice it's cold - kind of weird - we were told it's only rice they have had been chilled because they use it for the sushi rolls. read more

I honestly think this place is just as good as Yokozuna and is more affordable if you aren't looking for a sit down dinner with a server. I'm a fan of the carnival roll, hot mess, and baby dragon. This restaurant has some really good sushi. I ordered the tempura shrimp roll, the hot mess roll, and the New York roll and split all of them with my family. All of the rolls were delicious, but my favorite roll had to be the hot mess roll, because I have never seen sushi like this. If you ever try this restaurant, I do recommend trying the hot mess roll and you will understand what I mean. Sushi fork is an original chain for Tulsa. They offer "fast food" style sushi similar to the five guys model. The customer service is decent considering you really only interact with them while checking out. They are much better than grocery store sushi and a treat for a fast lunch without spending too much. The decor inside is nothing to speak about. They offer similar tables and art as you would expect from a strip mall style establishment. The sushi is fairly plain in flavor. The rice is devoid of any sushi vinegar it desperately needs. The overuse of sprouts on some rolls overpowers the entire roll, and there is very little seasoning happening behind the counter. SOY SAUCE AND WASABI ARE A MUST. Two rolls we found that really taste good without customization are the "candy roll" and "hot mess rolls. On the plus side you can completely customize any roll you wish, or you can make your own via their list of ingredients. I also tried their spicy roll challenge call "Dante's inferno". It requires a waver to be signed, and advertises tuna,ghost chili spice, avocado, krab mix, and death nectar. The ghost chili spice tastes like spicy charcoal and will make your stomach hurt on its own. The death nectar is made by Grinders and has 337,000 scoville unit rating. The roll size is over twice the size of a normal roll. It's more a "try to finish this" rather than "withstand the heat" challenge. The flavor is terrible and after a few pieces that taste like Burnt charcoal. I didn't want to finish it just because it tasted bad. It was super spicy. My eyes watered and my stomach hurt but I've had spicier gumbo in Houston than this roll. Overall, it's decent and cheap. If you need a quick bite and don't want the pizza next door, it's worthwhile. We will probably be back for lunch on a Wednesday when the hot mess is half price or on Monday when kids eat free. read more
