So first off before I came I called in, I was going to be late picking up my too good to go order and the woman on the phone reassured me that a few minutes would not make a difference, the doors will be locked but they will still hold my order for me and allow me to grab it. Once I arrived in person staff was just as friendly as on the phone, even allowing me to get the footage I needed for content. When you first arrive the place instantly stands out among the other local shops. It is big, beautiful and looks like a very classy place to eat. Upon walking in it was extremely clean, staff was busied doing their job but still friendly. And it looks like a place you can really sit down, and enjoy your meal. Now the Pastries, oh my gosh the pastries. If you're not aware of Too good to go, it is a service restaurants use to help eliminate food waste by selling orders at a discount price rather than throwing the food away. We first discovered la madeleine's in highland park Texas back in the 90s and had loved it ever since. They were known for the tomato bisque and an awesome Caesar salad. Today we decided to change things up and go with the grilled 4 cheese sandwich. For cheeses on sourdough bread sounded yummy asked her if she could add bacon to it. Thank God we did because it looked like two Kraft single slices on toasted bread put in the microwave warmed up and then put on our plate. They didn't even grill it. Pretty sad. This was my first time visiting, I had the French sampler which was $12.99 choice of soup, salad and half a slice of quiche. The presentation of the food was beautiful. Very picture worthy. But the truth is, I was disappointed in all three of the items. The French onion soup wasn't hot enough...the cheese hardly was able to even melt and speaking of cheese there wasn't any, Just a tiny hint of it. To me the cheese is the best part of any French onion soup. So that was disappointing. For the salad I chose the Strawberry chicken. The dressing had no flavor and honestly what flavor it did have was bitter. Out of all three the quiche was my favorite... although it was pretty dry as tho it had set out for a good amount of time before serving it. It had "I sat out all day" feel to it, also the quiche was hardly warm. So again temperature issues. In the bathroom they teach you to speak French. That was fun, I took a video and put it in the pictures. That was definitely the highlight of the experience. I learned two words in French. The restaurant is adorable and the pastries look very delicious. I didn't try any so I can't say what they taste like. The staff took our order but other than that they never came by our table. They gave us a number to put up on our table so I assumed they were going to bring us our meal, but the didn't. My wife and I like to have breakfast at new places whenever we travel. Today, we decided to try la Madeleine. Yes, a french restaurant in Oklahoma, what could go wrong. Whereas I have no comparison to compare the food. Since I have never been to France and will probably never go, I still know good tasting food. I had the Nouveau Breakfast, which consisted of avocado toast one egg in two slices of bacon. This was a very underwhelming meal. The avocado was nothing but avocado, no seasoning besides the pepper on top, and the egg was overcooked. The bacon was bacon. My wife had the Ham and Swiss crepe with a Dijon garlic sauce and the Potato Galette. Which was a much better choice. The Dijon Garlic sauce alone was very assertive, but the combo with the crepe ham and cheese it really calms down the sauce. As far as the Galette, it was very flavorful, hard to compare, and worth a 2nd try. I will give it another try in the future. Just not the Avacado toast. read more

(Unless your allergic of course) This location is the only one left now that Cherry Street's location has closed. It's nice and new on the inside, but the layout is confusing for ordering and if it's busy the dining area feels quite cramped. The workers behind the ordering/food counter didn't seem particularly friendly or helpful. I ordered what used to be my favorite food here, the croque monsieur. The shaved ham and cheese on top of the sandwich were delicious but the bread they serve it on is all wrong. It's some sort of wheat berry. The seeds are hard and get stuck in your teeth and the bitterness of the bread really works against the flavors of the sandwich. I opted for the Caesar side salad, which tasted fine but had little or no Parmesan cheese. There is a free bread, honey, jam station next to the beverage station but there were no plates or anything to place your bread on, so it's kind of awkward to know what to do there. For 2 sandwiches and 2 cups of water it was $20. It seems very steep for the type of food we received. The table busers were helpful and very attentive and actually the customer service highlight of this experience. For the price and quality, I would rather spend my hard earned cash elsewhere, but if you find yourself here for a meal, it's going to be ohhhhhhkay ;) read more

The service was odd to say the least. They got super confused with every question we had and couldn't understand how we were paying. Basically they didn't know what they were saying or doing and a ton of confusion on the payment and explanation on things. My friend ordered a $5 tea just to get a teabag and a small cup of almond milk. The staff just told her to go make it herself and was a little rude about it. I had been here a few years ago and everything was decent but now I don't know if I want to come here again.
