The server/host did a great job of being super friendly and talkative along with making sure we were well informed on the menu and hearing we made good choices on our food selections. We ordered the stuffed jalapeños - which if you go, You must get!! For rolls we got 1. Tulsa Roll 2. Fire Dragon Roll 3. Tornado Roll (fried) All were so tasty, each in their own way. We were super impressed all around and will be back. I can't stop thinking about the stuffed jalapeños

When a…read morewaiter/waitress takes my order & asks about spice level, I usually "play it safe" & go to a 3 (their scale was 1-5... spice level 3 was subtle). Speaking of flavor, I'm sure the special blended soy sauce played a major part. On top of that, there's chili sauce at the table & that right there has a Shawn Michaels super kick to it. With the bowl being full of chicken along with the other components like fish cake, seaweed, bamboo shoots, green onion & a soft boiled egg (that's also flavored)... it's not even an overload. It's flavor on top of flavor on top of flavor. I couldn't even finish it & took it to-go. My waitress was super nice & the wait on my food didn't take long (they had a mini lunch rush when I got here). Outside of ramen, there's so much to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for ramen, sushi, bowls, etc... this is your spot. I was having a headache & really needed some food to help get rid of it (I was also in the area). Ramen usually does the trick & it prevailed as I started feeling better. Oishi came in the clutch.

There are claw machines at the front and back and sketchbooks with colored pencils on every table so you can draw while waiting for your food. The service is friendly - you order at the front counter and get a buzzer that buzzes when your food is ready at the pickup counter. The boba drinks are good. They have a decent selection of milk teas and fruit drinks as well as toppings. The boba pearls are done right, freshly made so they are soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. Once I ordered popping boba on accident (honey boba on the menu) thinking it was regular boba sweetened with honey and did not like it. They graciously switched it out with regular boba for me which I truly appreciated. My one recommendation would be to adjust the sweetness level if you prefer lighter drinks. The last time I visited I forgot to ask and it was a bit on the sweet side for me. I've also ordered poke and teriyaki bowls from them before and it was ok. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me. I usually come here for the drinks but would give the food another try given the good service and atmosphere. They have ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers like chicken karaage and kimchi fries. Overall I'd recommend Gung Ho as a solid hangout spot that's centrally located with good drinks and plenty of food options.

Then I found Jinya Ramen. The Tonkotsu Black came out looking like a supermodel. The pork chashu was cooked so perfectly it practically melted in my mouth. The noodles had me one bite away from checking flights to Tokyo. If nostalgia had a texture, it would be those noodles. The egg? Soft boiled perfection. That beautiful jammy center deserved its own spotlight and possibly a small round of applause. I also ordered the pork gyoza, and whoever pan-fried those deserves a raise immediately. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--basically what every dumpling dreams of becoming. My only tiny complaint: you've got to season your own broth a little. But honestly, compared to some of the so-called "Japanese ramen" spots I've tried in the U.S., this place is five stars and then some. The service was fast, attentive, and genuinely caring--it felt authentic, not forced. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, spotless, and had the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a while.

The vibe is relaxed and friendly. I loved the decor. We had the gyoza to start and I tried the Geisha Saki Flight. So good. The pairings were done by sweet-dry-sweet-dry. I ordered one more of the yuzu variety. So good. We tried the wonton ramen and the spicy chicken ramen. Seriously good stuff. The Hubs is a ramen fan and he said he would probably not go anywhere else for ramen from now on. Large portions and you can choose from an almost unlimited list of toppings. Pizza, you're on the way out! Ramen from now on!

Japanese food is my favorite cuisine next to Taiwanese food. This place was so terrible that I did not even have the heart to post pictures. FOOD: - I ordered their boli-burrito with a listed price of $13.95 and with tax came to about $15. $15 wasted. I literally threw most of it away which made me very upset because it is hard to earn money. - every other grain of rice was rock hard - you know it's bad when the soy sauce packets they provide isn't even real soy sauce or a well known brand - the tuna was a strange shade of red (not a fake bright red but a going bad red) - the so called snow crab stick is just a stick of imitation crab, it's the same imitation crab you find shredded up in a mayo crab salad - I do appreciate they did not load this up with a bunch of rice so it came out really small and thin - I appreciate that they did not just hand you the burrito but instead cut it in half and took the extra effort and extra change and placed it in a biodegradable small to go box - I appreciate the avocado was fresh and bright green SERVICE: - friendly - I'm guessing it's an Asian couple who runs the shop as I saw the female taking the order/money and the male making the dish AMBIENCE: - modern decor - not very Japanese esque - felt like somewhere you will bring your date and less so a grab and go PARKING / LOCATION: - I don't understand why I intentionally park at the end of the lot and two cars decide to sandwich me anyways (I frequently eat and nap in my car...) when the entire parking lot was empty - lots of parking spaces - zero difficulties in finding a parking spot - this shop is located next to a pregnancy ultrasound place, children's clothes, and shoe store Please skip this store. There's an AYCE sushi in the same plaza...

It looked much the same as before, clean and inviting with enough class to make it feel nice but also chill enough for a wide variety of patrons to feel comfortable. We started with appetizers or calamari and tuna carpaccio. The calamari were wonderfully cooked and not super chewy. The breading was a little different than what you'd find at other places and was crispy and enjoyable. The sweet chili sauce was splendid and added an extra lightly sweet note. The tuna capaccio. This completely wowed us. Thin slices of tuna with some sprouts and and a wasabi drizzle. The presentation was wonderful, it tasted amazing and was fun to eat!! Our sushi rolls, two basic and two chef specials. We got the spicy tiny and Boston rolls along with a 1776 which included thinly sliced filet mignon on the outside. All of our rolls were well crafted and the fish felt and tasted as fresh as possible for being in a land locked state. We really enjoyed the 1776 but it wasn't something we'd get again. Where the steak was fine and it tasted good, it's not something that we want to circle back to. On a side note, the wasabi served with our sushi tasted like one would expect but didn't bring the heat as I'd hoped. I enjoy that burn in my nostrils! It didn't take away from the overall experience as it's simply my preference. To wrap up, our server did and excellent job. She was friendly and personable and made sure we always had full glasses. Kudos to good service. If you've dined here before, what was your favorite item to order?
