Ippin Ramen and Sushi is located on Main Street at one end of Broken Arrow downtown. There's a shared parking lot in the back on top of street parking. If you decide to try this place I would recommend sushi over ramen. The rainbow roll was a good option because it's a California roll topped with different fish (basically salmon and tuna). It was good - 4/5 stars. The Ippin ramen was a disappointment. The broth had a sharp and bold sweetness to it. Unfortunately, it was the sweetness of sugar rather than bone barrow broth. Umami is nonexistent at Ippin Ramen and Sushi. The pork bellies were thin slices of pork bellies and tasted horrible. Just Imagine eating steamed bacons, and that was the taste. Yuck! Fish cake was one big thick cut of imitation meat. The ramen here is no where close to Jinya - 2.5/5 stars. The restaurant is nice looking inside and the service was good. There were no other customers and one to-go order. Price is fair, ramens for $14.95 although I wouldn't pay for that price and special rolls are $12.95 each. Bottom line, get sushi and avoid ramen at Ippin Ramen and Sushi. read more

We have really enjoyed our last few visits to Ippin. If you're going for sushi, I highly recommend the Kiss of Fire Roll and the Fire Roll. I'm not a huge ramen girl, but my husband loves the Crispy Chicken Ramen. I have tried it each time and was pleasantly surprised - it is delicious and has just enough flavor! We also like that the menu has clear pictures of each dish to help us make our decisions. The owner and servers are all very nice but service was a little slow. One other thing is that they don't have an assortment of sauces to put in the ramen like some other ramen places do. They did have soy and eel sauce but that was about it. We thankfully liked the broth as is and didn't really need to doctor it! I would highly recommend giving Ippin a try the next time you're in downtown BA. read more

So I gave Ippin a second try and but idk it's just kinda meh. I don't like giving bad reviews so this isn't bad, but it's just ok. I got the soy based Char Siu Ramen this time. It started off pretty good but I just got bored with it. Toward the end the chopped scallions just got overwhelming so again, I couldn't finish. Live and learn I guess. I love fresh sushi and sashimi and this little place is hard to resist. It's just a few blocks from my house in the Rose District of beautiful downtown Broken Arrow, located at Main and Detroit, just a few doors down from Maya Mexican Restaurant, they have a nice menu with raw-men, fried rice and Domburi and I'm eager to try out almost everything they serve. I arrived mid afternoon so I missed the lunch and dinner crowd. I was immediately seated and the service was quick and efficient. In so time at all I had my warm saki and a beautiful plate with 5 pieces of nigiri sushi, 9 pieces of sashimi and a tuna roll that was beautifully prepared. The plate presentation is spectacular (almost too pretty to eat) and I enjoyed every bite. If you like sushi and sashimi, you will love this spot. Give it a try! We went here for lunch during the week. It was dead with only one other person in there. I am dumbfounded on why that is. We found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. We are very glad we did. Their menu had stuff for all different kinds of taste buds. If you want to try a variety of things then go there. The price was very reasonable and will not break the bank. Karage-came out super hot...which is typical..good..a bit chewy but very good flavors...the lemon mayo it should come with wasn't as lemony for dipping. Was craving Ramen and found this place. It's in a great location with plenty of table options for big groups. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu items and everything was made to order. My only complaint is the broth in both our Ramens lacked real flavor and I had to dress them up a bit with sauces. We came cause the food looked appealing... we got some sushi to start, it kept breaking apart. I got the shrimp ramen and asked them for the broth to me spicy.. the broth had no flavor what so ever. My sister had got the crispy chicken ramen. Chicken didn't have flavor, broth have no flavor... we had to ask for some salt and lemons to give it some type of flavoring. My husband loved the octopus dumplings, he said he would come back just for those! The crab jalapeño was good, similar to other restaurants. Honestly the roll that hit the spot for me was the spicy tuna, but the Back Scallop roll was great too. The scallop was a really nice touch, but the roll is very rich so it will fill you up fast! My husband got the spicy crab roll and the Spicy Girl. He said it was good but it was a bit more fishy than he expected. I believe it had salmon and yellowtail so it had a good amount of fish in it. Fish Cake? Is it real or synthetic? Is it a fish version of baloney? Nice new spacious restaurant. I don't eat a lot of ramen, but it is a welcome addition to the limited dining in Broken Arrow. I asked the waitress for a recommendation. Without hesitation she said the beef ramen. My wife chose the crispy chicken ramen. The beef ramen came to the table with a large conspicuous piece of seaweed that had somehow fallen into the bowl. Why and from where? Seaweed and fish sauce are my kryptonite! Removed! Now give everything a good stir and enjoy. And enjoy I did! The beef had a delicious "beefy flavor." The spicy broth was wonderful. Noodles, mushrooms and bamboo topped off with a soft-boiled egg. I almost finished off the whole large bowl. My wife, not being a big fan of ramen, complimented her crispy chicken ramen with..... "it was good, but I would have rather had a Vermicelli Bowl." From my side of the table, it looked great and had a generous serving of crispy chicken. Good food, good service, an enjoyable, comfortable dining experience! The Fish cake? I have had many crab cakes, and salmon patties (fish cakes) over the years. I thought that I had a strong grasp of the defining characteristics of a proper fish cake; a fried, concoction of fish, spices, cracker crumbs and egg. They are unmistakable in appearance. I asked the waitress about not being to find a fish cake in my ramen, that matched my mental picture. It was stated to have one, in the menu description. She was as surprised that I asked, as I was surprised, to find out what it was, and realize that I had already eaten the darn thing. I now know, that a Japanese fish cake is rubbery, ornamental looking, bleached white, tasteless medallion, with a little red swirl spin design in the center. I could see people collecting these things like Pokemon cards and trading them at swap meets. I am still not sure If I was supposed to eat it? For sure though, if they can turn a fish, into product of that appearance and texture, I do not want to see the ingredients or processing. read more

Great ramen. Been there twice already. Their sushi is good- I've had better but I really do like their ramen. The broth isn't too salty like many places in the county (I understand we have only a handful). I really love the service from my first visit. Our waitress was fantastic and so kind and sweet. My second visit, my kids wanted to sit outside in the back patio, not sure why our server then was a little bothered at first but still did a great job. I'm not a fan of plastic and hot food, so that is my chief complaint. Everything is served in plastic bowls, plates, eating utensils and serving platters. You get one small cocktail napkin per person so be very tidy. The place is very clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and food came out quickly. Food was hot and presented attractively. Stopped in December for annual birthday ramen. Both the hubby and I ordered Ramen but because it was a special occasion we also ordered a rainbow roll and a hand roll. All was very delicious. I thought that the broth was excellent. It's a real broth that's cooked over several hours and believe me you can tell the quality. Staff was very friendly and informative about the food. Restaurant is very pretty and the space is roomy and nice to look at . Already looking forward to going back especially in this cold weather. read more
