Spicy tuna

Got takeout here, getting the spicy tuna roll and salmon avocado roll. Rice to fish ratio is good, and I'm eager to try their specialty rolls. Also service was incredibly fast which is always appreciated.

Sushi and Sashimi for Two

I love Sushi Yoshi! This is a great local spot (mainly for delivery) to order affordable sushi from. I went with a friend and ordered the Sushi and Sashimi for Two. It was a huge platter that definitely filled us up. We went in person, they have four seats in their spot, but the service was very quick and all the servers were friendly! 100% coming back!

Omakase nigiri sushi
Jenny Z.

got the omakase nigiri set, which is 6 nigiri and one cut roll of your choice. The restaurant is primarily takeaway, with no seating inside really. While the quality of the fish was good, they varied by piece and some were just okay (like the wagyu. Really enjoyed the yellowtail, uni, and fatty toro cut roll though.

Uni Hand Roll (Sea Urchins) and salad

Surprisingly really good sushi in Williamsburg with fast delivery. We ordered: * Omakase Nigiri Fatty Chu Toro with Salad ($40.20) * Uni Hand Roll ($16.20) Everything came out to $56.40 Food was still delicious and the shrimp tempura was still crispy after two hours (didn't eat it right away, had it in the fridge). Composition of the omakase nigiri was great and filling, loved how compact the box was. Everything tasted fresh, including the salad. Everything was neatly packed and loved how the soy sauce was packed separately. We can't wait to visit this place in person and try more things off their menu!

Hamachi Serrano
Chunjai K.

I get takeout order from Sushi Yoshi. Hamachi Serrano is good with interesting Yuzu dressing. I also get Sashimi Appertizer it is 9 pcs sashimi of chef choice so it default to ordinary 3 fishes that every sushi place use; Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi which is I don't mind. The restaurant is budget friendly and mostly take out.

Omakase Sushi

Ordered takeout and you know with takeout it can truly be hit or miss but this was all Hits. They didn't miss a beat on any item. Delivery was prompt. All items were well packed and they even included a dessert surprise free of charge. The omakase was amazing w all types of sushi with different roe and other foods like sliced mushrooms on top. The soft shell crab was amazing-er. It was crisp not soggy not too greasy and the vinegary soy sauce was perfect accompaniment. Salad was crisp & fresh. The onigeri was great though some may not like it bc of all the rice . It's like Japanese version of an empanada but all rice w tuna and radish inside. The gyoza were flavorful and filled with nice veggies. There's a reason this place is a 5 after many reviews. Because they don't miss. Konichiwa sushi yoshi!!!

Omikase platter

I've ordered the omikase platter for delivery a few times and it always comes super fresh and flavorful! The packaging is sustainable.

Ordered delivery and it was actually really good and packaged nicely, also ordered a bubble tea that had a great taste. The green milk tea.

Underside of a piece of salmon nigiri--showing dehydration from being precut and refrigerated for a long time. Also terrible knife work.

I ordered via Yelp (GrubHub), the sushi entree (nigiri and a roll) and a few pieces of salmon nigiri. The rice was tough, dry, and obviously old and refrigerated. The grains varied from being hard and pebble-like and having a mushy outer layer over a dry interior. The fish was all poorly cut--weirdly inconsistent sizes of nigiri, and a few pieces still had connective tissue inside. The fish--all of it--had an odd odor and mealiness. The texture of the salmon nigiri, for example, was like partially dried clay that had been brushed with a little water: chalky, but with a slimy exterior. Even the pickled ginger was mealy and tough. My guess is that everything is prepped hours in advance and sits uncovered in a high air circulation refrigerator (or countertop unit), so the dehydration (and odor) is applied to everything stored there. See photo: I lifted a piece of salmon off the rice to check the underside. It's mottled, dry, and uneven--showing that it was precut, stored, and moved around, stretching and marring the fish. I'm really surprised and disappointed, since other reviews appears to be quite enthusiastic. AVOID.

I ordered takeout via DoorDash. The food got here very quickly. I ordered the omakase set and it exceeded expectations. The packaging was thoughtful, both soy sauce containers were in a plastic bag to prevent any spills and the miso soup was placed in a separate brown bag, so it didn't impact the temp of the sushi. The 6 pieces of fish were such high quality, each piece of sushi had a little topping. The uni on top co the scallop was a pleasant surprise! The options for the maki roll on the side were also high quality, I selected the toro which didn't disappoint. Overall, I highly recommended. Sushi was fresh, high quality, and well prepared.

The food here genuinely surprised me because everything came out super fresh and hot. We ordered a BUNCH of dishes that I lost track of taking pictures, but a few really stood out. The steamed spare ribs were hot, tender, and flavorful; the taro pieces mixed in were great too. The chicken feet were cut in half for convenience and the taste and texture were spot on. The hargow surprised me with filling that was mostly shrimp which is sometimes too much to ask for sadly. My favorite might've been the honeycomb tripe (not the one in the stew). It came out steaming and had that ideal bounce without being chewy, I'm pretty sure I cleaned more than half of it. Overall, the freshness and heat of every dish made a huge difference. The restaurant had a great vibe and service was good although they accidentally charged us an extra order of chicken feet (which was resolved when we pointed it out). Definitely worth checking out if you're craving dim sum in the city.

Standouts included the beef tripe, eggplant, and the shrimp with tofu was a first for me. There is a charge for tea based on which one you order ranging from $1-$1.50. It does add up so be mindful of what you order.

Baked Pork Pastry was a little meh, it was extremely rich and ours was in that awkward in-between temperature. - Chive dumplings are pretty shrimp-forward, good, but shrimp-forward. - If there's something you want and it doesn't make its way to you, ask! Also had the Mongolian steak with rice, which was another highlight. Presentation was fire -- it comes out still heating on a hot platter, which makes the whole experience feel elevated. Flavor matched the presentation too. Service was solid overall, no real issues there. The only downside was with a deal they were advertising ("3 for $33"). When we tried to use it, we were told they weren't honoring it that night and that the deal had been causing them to lose money.
