Placed an order for pickup. They must have moved location because the pictures of the stores are different. Ordered shrimp tempura rolls and they were good. However, there is no sign on the door so finding the entrance was a bit confusing. Not sure if they're still in the processing of opening or renovating. When I opened the door, I was met with empty stares from the 2 workers by the door with no greetings and the area by the door was messy so I wasn't sure if I was at the right restaurant.

I love Sushi Yoshi! This is a great local spot (mainly for delivery) to order affordable sushi from. I went with a friend and ordered the Sushi and Sashimi for Two. It was a huge platter that definitely filled us up. We went in person, they have four seats in their spot, but the service was very quick and all the servers were friendly! 100% coming back!

Got takeout here, getting the spicy tuna roll and salmon avocado roll. Rice to fish ratio is good, and I'm eager to try their specialty rolls. Also service was incredibly fast which is always appreciated.

got the omakase nigiri set, which is 6 nigiri and one cut roll of your choice. The restaurant is primarily takeaway, with no seating inside really. While the quality of the fish was good, they varied by piece and some were just okay (like the wagyu. Really enjoyed the yellowtail, uni, and fatty toro cut roll though.

Surprisingly really good sushi in Williamsburg with fast delivery. We ordered: * Omakase Nigiri Fatty Chu Toro with Salad ($40.20) * Uni Hand Roll ($16.20) Everything came out to $56.40 Food was still delicious and the shrimp tempura was still crispy after two hours (didn't eat it right away, had it in the fridge). Composition of the omakase nigiri was great and filling, loved how compact the box was. Everything tasted fresh, including the salad. Everything was neatly packed and loved how the soy sauce was packed separately. We can't wait to visit this place in person and try more things off their menu!

    Hamachi Serrano

I get takeout order from Sushi Yoshi. Hamachi Serrano is good with interesting Yuzu dressing. I also get Sashimi Appertizer it is 9 pcs sashimi of chef choice so it default to ordinary 3 fishes that every sushi place use; Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi which is I don't mind. The restaurant is budget friendly and mostly take out.

Ordered takeout and you know with takeout it can truly be hit or miss but this was all Hits. They didn't miss a beat on any item. Delivery was prompt. All items were well packed and they even included a dessert surprise free of charge. The omakase was amazing w all types of sushi with different roe and other foods like sliced mushrooms on top. The soft shell crab was amazing-er. It was crisp not soggy not too greasy and the vinegary soy sauce was perfect accompaniment. Salad was crisp & fresh. The onigeri was great though some may not like it bc of all the rice . It's like Japanese version of an empanada but all rice w tuna and radish inside. The gyoza were flavorful and filled with nice veggies. There's a reason this place is a 5 after many reviews. Because they don't miss. Konichiwa sushi yoshi!!!

I've ordered the omikase platter for delivery a few times and it always comes super fresh and flavorful! The packaging is sustainable.

Ordered delivery and it was actually really good and packaged nicely, also ordered a bubble tea that had a great taste. The green milk tea.

Underside of a piece of salmon nigiri--showing dehydration from being precut and refrigerated for a long time. Also terrible knife work.
    Douglas S.

I ordered via Yelp (GrubHub), the sushi entree (nigiri and a roll) and a few pieces of salmon nigiri. The rice was tough, dry, and obviously old and refrigerated. The grains varied from being hard and pebble-like and having a mushy outer layer over a dry interior. The fish was all poorly cut--weirdly inconsistent sizes of nigiri, and a few pieces still had connective tissue inside. The fish--all of it--had an odd odor and mealiness. The texture of the salmon nigiri, for example, was like partially dried clay that had been brushed with a little water: chalky, but with a slimy exterior. Even the pickled ginger was mealy and tough. My guess is that everything is prepped hours in advance and sits uncovered in a high air circulation refrigerator (or countertop unit), so the dehydration (and odor) is applied to everything stored there. See photo: I lifted a piece of salmon off the rice to check the underside. It's mottled, dry, and uneven--showing that it was precut, stored, and moved around, stretching and marring the fish. I'm really surprised and disappointed, since other reviews appears to be quite enthusiastic. AVOID.

I ordered takeout via DoorDash. The food got here very quickly. I ordered the omakase set and it exceeded expectations. The packaging was thoughtful, both soy sauce containers were in a plastic bag to prevent any spills and the miso soup was placed in a separate brown bag, so it didn't impact the temp of the sushi. The 6 pieces of fish were such high quality, each piece of sushi had a little topping. The uni on top co the scallop was a pleasant surprise! The options for the maki roll on the side were also high quality, I selected the toro which didn't disappoint. Overall, I highly recommended. Sushi was fresh, high quality, and well prepared.

We were skeptical about this restaurant but it exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return! We came on a weekend for dinner so it was busy! We were able to snag a table and seeing how busy this place was, we knew it was going to be good! We had the pork XLB, chicken feet, pork & vegetable wontons with spicy peanut sauce, noodles with scallion and peanut butter sauce, beef lo mein and the beef ribs. Everything was delicious! The highlights of our meal were the pork XLB and the beef ribs. The pork XLB were made fresh to order and they were flavorful and juicy! Definitely on my list of best XLB I have ever had. The beef ribs were also delicious! They torched it table side which definitely added a nice touch! Considering how busy they were, the service was immaculate. They were also very attentive to details since we had a kid with allergies. We will definitely be coming back soon. The most recent time, I was here for their dim sum brunch, which is either $36 for AYCE plus $2 for tea, or they price each thing individually. It was a bit annoying that the tea was not included, but at least both the Oolong and Chrysanthemum teas were good quality and readily filled. Service in general was pretty fast and frequently checked on our large semi- private table to see if we needed anything else to order or more tea. The dim sum selection is a bit smaller than many of the traditional dim sum spots, but the overall quality was excellent, with a couple of definite highlights and some more unique dishes such as dumplings with pickled shrimp, crawfish, or Taizhou rice along with Ningbo wontons. In general, I would say that the wrappers were properly thin and everything was filled generously. The aforementioned Pickled Pepper Shrimp Dumplings were one of the highlights. The slightly spicy and sour pickles made it taste very light and paired nicely with the plump shrimp. In terms of other shrimp dim sum, their version of Har Gow/Crystal Shrimp Dumplings included a little bit of sweet crab for an extra touch. It was also tasty. I also liked the Ningbo wontons, filled with a variety of ingredients including minced pork, dried shrimp, yard long beans, pickled vegetables, bamboo shoots, and others. It had a wonderful mix of textures with some interesting crunchy notes. Another unique option mentioned is their Crawfish Dumplings, which are very noticeable compared to the other dumplings due to their bright red color. I appreciated the spiciness but found these a tad fishy with a thicker wrapper than most, but others loved these and ordered more. For more standard dumplings, their Xiao Long Bao/XLB were pretty good, and they had a tasty version of Sticky Rice Pork Siu Mai. The Baked Pork Buns were good as they were not too sticky sweet. Finally, there was a decent version of Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil. Non-dumpling highlights included their excellent turnip cakes along with steamed spare ribs, chicken feet, and a particularly tasty version of steamed beef tripe with satay sauce. I would skip the Beef Short Ribs With Black Pepper, which had good flavor but was way too chewy. I know someone else ordered the spring rolls, but I don't remember trying them. They also apparently now have a Ningbo speciality called Shi Bing Tong, but I don't remember ordering it. Someone else got their simple and tasty porridge/congee, only available traditionally with pork and century eggs, and enjoyed it. I tried a bit, and it was indeed good. Desserts included a tasty Crispy Durian Pastry, alright Sesame Balls, a good Pineapple Bun/Bolo Bao, and Custard Buns, which everyone loved, but they had a cuttlefish ink shine, so I couldn't try them. This is a fantastic, reasonably priced AYCE Dim Sum. Would recommend it if they still offer this deal.

This is a refreshing yet filling side to pair with the soup dumplings. I wanted something to round out my meal and this was a great choice. The edamame and tofu make it more satisfying than a typical greens salad while the mustard adds a slight bitterness. - vegetarian soup dumplings (9/10): six pieces of vegetable dumplings filled with a hot broth. This was the main reason I came here so I had to order them. The experience of popping into one and sucking out the broth takes a few tries to get the hang of it. I recommend mixing the chili oil and soy sauce because the filling on its own is just the flavor of vegetables. The dumpling skin is thin and allows the soup to be the highlight. I would recommend eating these as soon as you can so that the skin does not stick to the paper. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! It was great comforting food that still felt fresh and filling

Dishes weren't particularly clean and service was alright, a little clumsy for lack of better word. Was also surprised they put the dessert XLB on top over the savory ones. Food was delicious though! Snagged two savory XLB and a sweet XLB. Michelin recommended spot so definitely hits the spot, no question there. The duo tables were a bit small and the tables are slightly close together, but overall it's spacious. Two washrooms (bathroom, restroom for search terms) available. Six Flavors XLB - love the variety pick as an option! Color wasn't a gimmick, as they actually tasted different. Gourd was the most unique, being a vegetable base. Signature and crab tasted pretty standard with other spots, but the other four were more unique. Signature XLB - a classic pork soup, rich in flavor and hearty. Taste was on point but they're pretty sizable and have lots of soup. One of our XLB had enough soup for two spoonfuls and we wanted bigger spoons but then the others were definitely less. Mochi & Sesame XLB - a dessert XLB always hits no matter how the others taste. These had a strong sesame flavor, very rich. However the mochi was a bit funky texture wise, just getting stuck in teeth. Definitely get a dessert XLB, is a good option but I'm almost positive they're all good, so no strong bias.

The ambiance is calm and cozy -- definitely a good spot whether you're grabbing a couple drinks, a quick bite, or sitting down for a full dinner. The tuna and avocado paired with the spicy red sauce really made it stand out -- honestly tasted great and something I'd get again. Also had the Mongolian steak with rice, which was another highlight. Presentation was fire -- it comes out still heating on a hot platter, which makes the whole experience feel elevated. Flavor matched the presentation too. Service was solid overall, no real issues there. The only downside was with a deal they were advertising ("3 for $33"). It was shown on their website and even posted outside the restaurant, which was actually one of the main reasons we chose the spot. When we tried to use it, we were told they weren't honoring it that night and that the deal had been causing them to lose money. I understand adjusting pricing if something isn't working, but if that's the case, the promotion should be removed or clearly communicated ahead of time. Having it still advertised and then not honoring it was frustrating and took away from the experience.
