This place is phenomenal. We've only ever ordered through DoorDash out of convenience (we don't live in the area) and it has never disappointed. We get Sushi Time twice a month :) My husband and I order the Sushi and Sashimi plate. We love the variety of fish they give. Also the quality of it is incredible. The fish is always fresh and melts in your mouth. The salmon nigiri and sashimi are my favorite. Today, we decided to get the omakase for the first time. Every piece was unique. Again, so fresh and there was so much food!! We've eaten quite a few of their rolls and our favorites are Cherry Blossom, Ichiban, Salmon Lover and the Warriors. We've tried a lot of sushi spots in the East Bay and this place is our favorite.

I really enjoy the omakase here. They are prepared fresh with good ingredients. My kids love getting various rolls. We also like the salmon kama that they sometimes give out for free (it's been inconsistent, we don't know when they give it out free but have gotten lucky half the times we're here). Good service. Easy parking in the lot. Seating is very limited, so I recommend you go earlier than normal meal times. We came at 5pm for dinner and there was no line and food came out quickly. We like walking across the street afterwards to get icecream. It's good exercise after a fulfilling meal and a nice treat too.

Consistently delicious each time I dine here, whether it's with my besties or my fam, we always have a yummy meal. Small interior so get there early if you want a seat! Love their rolls - good quality fish and light rice ratio. Ichiban, 49ers, Warriors, Dragon, Alhambra- can't go wrong with any of their rolls. Their bento boxes are also fire with ample portions. Excited they have toro on their menu now, but they ran out the day we were there. Will be back for it next time! This place definitely gets packed, mostly because there isn't a ton of seating. There are only a couple of outdoor tables, and during the summer heat, I honestly wouldn't recommend sitting outside. That said--this spot was a pleasant surprise and honestly feels like a bit of a hidden gem. I didn't expect the sushi to be this fresh, but it really was. The quality was excellent, portions were generous, and the presentation pretty much speaks for itself (the photos don't lie). Service was decent--nothing particularly memorable, but it was efficient and got the job done. The real star here is the food. We had to wait a bit because it gets busy, but once we were seated, everything was worth it. I especially loved that they offer omakase, and the hand rolls were stacked--full, fresh, and seriously delicious. Overall, if you're okay with a bit of a wait and limited seating, the sushi here is absolutely worth it. Come hungry and be ready to take photos.

Take out from Sushi time! The freshest fish!! White roll and warrior! We also had the chicken yaki udon- very different flavors than other yaki udon we have had. Peppers, broccoli, zucchini and the flakes like on taki balls. I wish there was more chicken.

We found this place online and decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself is a bit small, good for small groups of up to four. And you can use the tablet to put in an order. We ordered the Omakase, the dill roll, and the baked unagi roll. The fish was fresh and delicious, but their rolls were a bit too heavy in flavor for me. I had to keep eating ginger to cleanse my palate.

We came across Sushi Time on reddit of all places, and wanted to give it a try. The shop itself is quite small, probably only 6-7 tables, but when we went on Saturday afternoon, we were able to get seated immediately. We ordered the omakase, the dill roll, and the baked unagi roll. The fish were all quite fresh. A decent spread on the omakase, from scallop, seared tuna, shrimp, regular tuna, and I believe a tuna roll. The baked unagi roll was heavy but not in a bad way, just a lot of sauce and quite large. The dill salmon roll was pretty good as well, salmon was fresh but I wouldn't say it necessarily wowed me. Overall, not a bad sushi place

My daughter and I stopped for lunch and we had exceptional food and service. The tako maki was fresh and hot and yummy and came out in minutes. The two rolls we had were delicious. The waitress was friendly and checked on us regularly. I highly recommend.

Amazing as always! This place delivers consistently excellent sushi--super fresh, and just look at the picture to see how thick their sashimi cuts are. It's not only fresh, it's truly a great value. I ordered four pieces of sashimi, the katsu curry with an add-on of California roll for an additional of $5, and it all even came with a salad. The pork in the katsu curry was juicy with two thick, satisfying slices. Not to mention they gave me free tea. So generous. Service was outstanding--the true definition of great customer care. The ambiance is cozy, welcoming, and very clean. Highly recommend! I love this place and the owners!!!

Customer service is always so great!! Great place for kids as they are really accommodating! They offer small plates, cups and utensils, even small miso! You order off a computer and wait time for food is less than 15 minutes! New favorite spot on a cozy day! Limited seating but it's never an issue for us!

Disappointed and not what we expected based on the other good reviews posted here on yelp! Location: small corner restaurant with some table seating inside and I think the table outside is theirs also but not sure since there is another restaurant next to them. Not good for large parties (5+) Service: Placed order for pick up, gave my ph# and had to spell my name twice. It was nice to get a text saying my order was ready but when I picked up and said my name, the employee looked confused and couldn't find my order. The issue - who ever took my order entered my name completely wrong and not even close and should have verified by the ph# and items ordered. Food: The sushi rice used tasted old for the rolls and the plate, the lemon used for the 49er did NOT taste like a lemon but more orange like even the color was different. I don't know how fresh the salmon was used for the nigiri and roll but it had an off putting texture and taste (not even like a farm raised salmon flavor). The Julie's Favorite roll says it has tempura flakes on the outside but if you look at my photo, it was drowned in it probably to cover up the salmon used. The menu is misleading because it doesn't describe if sauces are placed on the rolls, so we didn't expect sauce on the shrimp tempura roll.

Convenient, fast, clean and delicious should be the name of this place. This is such an easy spot to get to and enjoy some delicious sushi when the craving hits make sure to stop by this place. Our first family dinner at Sushi Time. The space is very limited, however, we didn't have to wait long for our party of 6. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was delicious, water was refilled without asking, great service! We kept ordering different items to try. The fried mushroom appetizer (forgot the name) was sooo good! Great place to order take out or stop in if you have a small group. Kids loved their rolls. Little gem we found. Enjoy! read more

We came at 5:10 so right after they opened. Kinda a smaller space but it is tiny but mighty! We ordered a lot for two. Miso soups, salmon sashimi, gyoza, California roll, 49ers roll, and some sort of super crunch roll. The space was so clean and staff was so kind. We tried a little bit of everything and none of it missed. Will be coming back, prices were more than reasonable. For two people we ate everything until we were full and still spent under 100 bucks! However we didn't try any of the drinks apart from water and sprite. read more

Awesome spot. Great food. Even better service. It's a cozy restaurant and large party was tying up many seats so we waited kinda long. But glad we did! Went to Sushi Time in Martinez (across from the Safeway on Alhambra) earlier this week with my family and it was so good! One of our favorite sushi places we have tried in the area. They are super kind and wonderful hosts and their sushi tasted so fresh. They gave us complimentary miso soup with extra tofu for our kids. My little ones (toddler and infant) had great time-- the owner even tied the chopsticks in a way that allowed my 3 year old to use them and he was so excited to use chopsticks like us. They have plates/cups/utensils for the little ones to use. We are excited to go back and try other rolls! read more

I love this new spot! Been here twice now for lunch and both times the sushi was super fresh and delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, plus ordering online is a breeze (save money by going directly to their site instead of DoorDash). This time I ordered the wakame, sake nigiri and Ichiban roll. Sooo fresh and light, plus the eel they use is smoky and has great texture. We have been taking a break from sushi recently but this place lured us back. Now all we think about is sushi from Sushi Time! The rolls are perfectly made and you can tell the ingredients are top notch by the flavors and quality you receive! I love the bay area roll, but it's not always on the menu, so you may have to ask if they can make it! It's a baked roll with bay scallop and lobster, ooooo it's so good. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Small dining area so be sure you go early but somehow they are able to turn tables quickly so we haven't had to wait long at all. This is a small space, maybe seats 20 people in the restaurant. I ordered take out online and it was about an hour wait, probably because it's new and many people love sushi! The rolls are large but not meticulously made. I ordered four rolls and each broke at the seam when picked up with chopstick and each needed two bites to not be a choking hazard. I think some people like large sushi rolls, but traditional good sushi rolls are not massive and should be delicate. That's just my two cents. read more

Finally the best Sushi I haven't had in a while is just open. OMG roll and Sashimi were phenomenal. I have been to Japan twice, my last time was in Tokyo in 2023. And that was my last time had the best sushi. I can say this place is pretty close to the ones in Japan. read more

Ordered pick up from here on a Saturday night. The service was prompt and the staff was very appreciative of trying them out as a new business. Everyone thanked me several times for coming in and checking them out. The order was clearly labeled and they separated hot items from cold. We ordered 4 different rolls and a veggie udon soup. The size of the rolls and amount of fish in each was very generous. I don't recall the names of the roles because I didn't order them but I think a rainbow role a shrimp type roll with tuna, a tuna roll with cream cheese and California roll. All very enjoyable and very filling. Everyone was very happy and full with lots of leftovers. Will definitely be returning! read more

I tell you, I should have Yelp'd Japanese restaurants that are about 10 mile radius around me coz my family and I have been indulging in mediocre Japanese this entire time when this place exists. Just a bit of a drive thru a residential area in the border of Martinez & Pleasant Hill. What a great find coz food is amazing and still affordable! The staff was super friendly and the food was excellent! Highly recommend their tonkatsu, dragon roll, and udon soup. The bento boxes are a pretty good size and serving. We've only been a handful of times but we try to order different items each time. Highly recommend! read more

What a GEM! This place use to be Okini's, then a ramen shop, and now Sushi Time. The fish was so fresh and the service was even better! This will be our go to spot for sushi from now on. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get. The fish is fresh, the ratio is on point, the rice is perfect (not dry/hard/crumbly). I kept seeing this place on a Facebook group I'm in and the food always looked soooo good, so I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I'm not a huge sushi person, so I wasn't really sure what I would like, but went off pictures and other reviews! I ordered a Gozilla roll and a Red Dragon roll to-go tonight and wow....so good. I would definitely go back and try some other items. I wasn't sure I could finish it all, but as soon as I started to eat, I couldn't stop haha. I especially liked the Gozilla roll as it was deep fried and a little crispy. The place itself is small, so I would definitely recommend just ordering take-out. The online ordering was easy and straightforward. Give it a try! read more

People were super nice and helpful, service was pretty quick ( we were the first ones in on a Monday ) we ordered 4 Bento Boxes . One with Saba, 1 beef teriyaki and 2 salmon teriyaki also a rainbow roll and edemame. The salmon was a little over cooked for my taste, but in their defense, I didn't ask for any special way, so that's my fault. The saba and teriyaki were both cooked fine. Overall the whole order was fine. I'd come back again. read more

Restaurant is tiny but clean and comfortable. Ordered the sashimi and dragon roll. Looked beautiful! The sashimi was fresh and melted in my mouth. The dragon roll was good but I pointed out to the waitress that the unagi was overly charred. The waitress apologized and told me she could bring me another. I told her it's OK this time but she insisted. She did not give me any attitude and was very nice about it. I accepted the offer and got another new roll. This kind of service made me happy. The waitress and the chef both said goodbye in a friendly matter. My family and I will be coming back for sure. The food was delicious!! read more

(There button on the right steering wheel must be pressed down until it beeps, then you use your voice command.) The nearest sushi restaurant in my Tesla car screen was Kiku Sushi! This is a little gem of a restaurant with a cute interior dining area with television for people watching the FIFA games, a good bar selection of you imbibe, and a delightful patio where you can sit under a covered awning. The place has a small parking lot along the side of the restaurant located in the back. If you're shopping at Whole Foods or Mount Diablo Foods, this restaurant is located down the street from them on a side street on Lafayette Circle. I spoke to the owner, they only use the best quality sushi: Atlantic King salmon, bluefin tuna, the shrimp is cooked here, white tuna is from Korea, the onso hamachi is from Hokkaido. The onagi is high end, and ordered from Thailand. There are two other Kiku Sushi & Vegetarian locations, one is located in north Berkeley, 1416 Gilman Street, Berkeley, CA, and one is located at 538 Valencia Street, San Francisco. The food is absolutely delicious, nicely presented, and the sashimi is cut into very thick slices. I ordered my favorite go-to dish, chirashi sushi, and a specially ordered eel handroll with rice and veggies. The matcha tempura ice cream was delicious, too. You must absolutely come and try out this place, they play relaxing, nice jazz music in the background, it was good for a very nice before-the-250th-anniversary of our country, the 4th of July! Check out this place, you surely won't be disappointed!
