It can get a little busy on the weekend nights, but if you can wait a few minutes for a table I promise it'll be worth it. This spot offers a wide variety of Japanese appetizers, sushi, and sashimi. I highly suggest starting off with cold noodles (who ever thought spaghetti with peanut sauce would taste so good), rock shrimp, and edamame. My boyfriend is highly allergic to salmon and doesn't ever feel short of options. They even have rolls with banana, rolls with sweet potato tempura, and two (or three) non salmon option with cream cheese. We usually go for one of those fun rolls, Godzilla roll, and Deniler Bronco roll (thinking that was a typo, assuming it's meant to say Denver Bronco roll) along with some sashimi. Our eyes are bigger than our stomachs 100% of the time. We haven't brought anything, but you can bring your own alcoholic beverages. Next time we'll grab a bottle of wine before we go. Sushi Time 560. You do tons of advertising on Facebook, and because of that I remembered you when push came to shove. Highly recommend you keep doing that, because unfortunately the food spoke for itself. Not a good sign when both myself and my cousin left, and immediately after getting into the car did not feel well. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is pretty generic. Walk in, a ton of tables spread all over the dining room, a small bar with almost no drink selection, and a kitchen in the back. Rather boring and basic, which was not a good start. Service: The service here stuck out as being just kind of okay. The waters came out fast, which was good, and the refills were quick which was nice. Other than that, it went downhill. Asked for two Japanese Ramune sodas, and the women grabbed two off the display. Did not offer any ice or a glass, just dropped them on the table and left. That wasn't exactly fun drinking warm soda. The sushi took laughably long to come out, which was not a good sign when the restaurant was almost empty. Now, let's talk about the food. Entree: The food here definitely wasn't it, and did not live up to the 4.2 stars this place has when you look on their google reviews. We ordered from the kitchen as well as the sushi bar, and both were equally not good, The BBQ squid was rather boiled squid covered in BBQ sauce. Not only was it bland, but was very chewy. Unfortunately, this word chewy seems to come up a lot as this review continues. The rock shrimp was greasy, and had almost no sauce on it. As for sushi, we just kind of ordered an assortment of everything. Some specialty rolls, and some basics like spicy tuna. The specialty roll that had steak on it, stay as far away as you could. The beef just tasted old, and was a horrendous mix with the sushi itself. The rest of the rolls, well they were either entirely mush so you could not even pick them up with chopsticks, or so rubbery and chewy they needed to be not consumed. It should've been a red flag immediately when we came for all you can eat and only ordered one small plate. Dessert: For dessert, we got three scoops of ice cream and a fried Oreo. Can't screw up ice cream, but somehow they did. The red bean just tasted like straight vanilla, had zero red bean flavor. The Oreo, covered in that same tempura batter as from the rock shrimp, both looked gross and was oily yet again. Bill: Bill came out to $53.12 for two people all you can eat and the sodas. Great value and selection of entrees that can satisfy people with all dietary restrictions; vegetarians, "no fish" meat eaters, etc. lots of options for appetizers, sashimi, and special rolls. My only gripe is that the kitchen will make choices not to serve certain quantities of sushi. For example, at a table of 7, including 4 vegetarians, they NEVER honored our request for more than 2 sweet potato rolls at a time. I understand that they want to conserve food and avoid food waste, but the amount of time in between each order of sweet potato rolls was quite annoying and requires us to keep putting in orders. However, we've all been here before and we were prepared for this, and it obviously doesn't stop us from coming back time and time again. I'll be back and I recommend to others. When I first moved to LI, my sister and I realized we were close to this spot - and we've heard of the name. We never really paid attention to reviews at the time (2015) and came for lunch. We didn't know it was all you can eat sushi and no one really warned us about it. When we ordered we paid about $50-60 for the two of us which kind of gave us a bad taste in our mouths. We had a special roll each and we weren't familiar with any of it and when we asked the servers they didn't speak proper English. But okay, now we're in 2018 - whats changed? They have 50% rolls for lunch take out and actually offer 30% the sushi for dinner. It's pretty reasonable. I recently ordered a seaweed salad (hard to mess up), a spicy kani roll and a yellowtail jalapeño roll. I figured its cheap, lets give it another shot. I was disappointed once again. It just didn't taste good and I felt like I had to force myself to eat it. The seaweed salad was what I was most upset with - it's completely vegetarian, fish free and normally good anywhere you eat it! Here it had a really weird fishy smell and a fishy taste. Our daughter and 2 friends accompanied Bonnie G and I to Sushi 560 for dinner Friday night. We have been here many times but tonight was the highlight of our visits. Tonight the fish was outstanding, particularily for an AYCE! The Hamachi Sushi was from the belly of the fish as its color was pale unlike the back where the meat is reddish...it was fresh and had a wonderful consistancy...like butta! The Salmon Sashimi and Sushi was also good cuts of fish and tasted silky smooth. We all enjoyed the Hot from the kitchen menu items...the Tempura Shrimp was crispy and not greasy at all. The Seaweed Salad was particularily good that evening and was enjoyable. The fact that its BYOB and AYCE are both pluses...but this night the fish was better than I ever had at this or any other AYCE establishment. Came here due to a deal they were sending out for $20 AYCE that I recieved. I actually came on my birthday since I really enjoy sushi and sashimi. Their online service is phenomenal and it was very simple to schedule a reservation with them, they were even able to accomadate us earlier than our reservation without any issues. We were seated fairly quickly and while the restaurant wasnt very fancy it was clean and well kept. Our server for the day was a very nice lady who was exceptionally attentive and helpful all throughout our dinner. We ordered our kitchen dishes, sushi and sashimi and our orders came out in a timely fashion. The kitchen dishes were good but nothing crazy, the rock shrimp especially was good. They had some unique sushi combos that I definitely enjoyed trying but overall the quality was mainly just good. The sashimi was somewhat disappointing since the quality of the fish is the main component for its taste and I'm disappointed to say it was just okay. Overall for the food I would probably give a 2, 3 if youre considering the cost but honestly you can go to a better place and pay a couple more bucks for better sushi and sashimi. I would honestly give this place a 3.5, the additional 1.5 points is mainly just due to our server who was highly attentive and always made sure to check how everything was. She worked very hard and I definitely want to give credit where its due. A friend recommended this place as it's all you can eat and I'd have more opportunity to find what I like. Come to find out this place is byob so I can get extra saucy while I sushi. "Saucy while I sushi". I like that....™. You can borrow it if you'd like. But I got stuff I think I'd like, like salmon, tuna, sweet potato, crab etc. ...apparently, young me had a dumb palette Bc this Sh*t here was amazing! Now, I will disclose that I have been to about 3 other sushi restaurants after this one, and they all had better quality sushi. Food was ok. Service was awful!! Slow. My sons when to the bathroom and said the sink was clogged with throw up. The women's restroom toilet wouldn't flush and was clogged. We told the waitress and she said "i don't have time for this" we didn't receive all the food we ordered. We inquired about it and were told "so order it again" i asked to speak to a manager at the end and found that the waitress who told us she didn't have time to deal with the sink full of throw up, was the manager! Sushi time 560 is a little hole in the wall hidden within a shopping center in Bethpage. Looks kind of shady from the outside because all the windows are covered and their sign is blinking. It's a decently sized place with dimmed lighting. I've been here many times and to be honest, each time is different. Wait staff is friendly one day and we have been rushed out another. Saturday nights we have waited an hour or been seated right away. (The do take reservations.) Sometimes we get exactly what we ordered, other times it's like a free for all guessing which sushi roll is which and wonering if we even ordered 'that' roll. We have never had an issue with the quality or taste of their food and we have been here quite a few times. You see these 'all you can eat' sushi places popping up all over Long Island but the draw to this place is that its BYOB. Bring your own beer, wine, liquor, whatever. Keeps the bill low. If you forget, there is a liquor store in the same shoppong center. All you can eat for $23 is a great deal if you do like sushi otherwise, it may not be worth it just for the appetizers. They come out in small portions like one or two pieces of goyza or chicken so you will have to keep ordering. I do love coming to this place when we have a bunch of friends or family getting together because everyone can order what they want and we can all try the different rolls without worrying to pay $12-$15 for a special roll. I LOVE SUSHI...my wife does not, what does the sushi lover do? Go to Sushi Time 560. Understand, I do not consider myself a Sushi "aficionado," I just enjoy it. You can't beat the deal here, all you can eat sushi, sashimi, tempura, amongst a myriad of soups and appetizers. The place was about 3/4 full and we were immediately seated. An extremely pleasant young lady came to our table and explained how the system works...you check off the items on one of two paper menus (one for kitchen (cooked food) and one for sushi/sashimi/rolls,) and they bring it to your table. The staff works as ONE TEAM so the service was speedy with very nice servers. NOTE: I found all the help to be extremely friendly and helpful with all my questions. We started with the Miso and Udan noodle soup... Hot, very hot (temperature.) We sampled the gyoza, (small and crispy with a tasty filling), fried rock shrimp, calamari, (not over-breaded) scallion pancakes, (small and very flavorful) seafood skewer (shrimp and salmon and the beef saty, (my least favorite.) The boneless short rib is definitely worth a try (order two, they're small.) I then had a variety of sushi / sashimi / and rolls, Salmon, Tuna, Yellow Fin, Eel, and white tuna. All were moist fresh [tasty] fish and I did not feel that I had an overpowering amount of rice on the sushi. I tried the crispy spicy salmon roll (6 pieces to the order) and really enjoyed it. The right amount of crunch and spice with overpowering my taste buds. We had plenty and did not go away hungry. I was careful not to keep ordering until I would have to be wheeled out too. A simple scoop of chocolate ice cream was the perfect finish The pricing for Fri and Sat night is $21.95 a person plus drinks tax and tip. For 2 people, it came to about $60, tip included. I don't think his was bad for an all you can eat, large variety, establishment serving good food. DO NOT FORGET, this place is a BYOB so take advantage of that and bring some North Fork One Woman Vineyards and Winery Gewurtz or Gruner or Finger Lakes, Standing Gewurtz with you, it will definitely compliment the dining experience. I have been here before a few times in the distant past for the AYCE and was pleased, so I gave it a go for take out twice during the pandemic; once for dinner and once for lunch. This is a review for the takeout. Both times the portions were very generous, but the quality/freshness was just not there. The eel sauce tasted watered down and the texture of the tuna was off/mushy. It is hard to go wrong given their lunch special prices, but going forward I'll gladly pay a few more dollars elsewhere for a superior quality of fish. read more

AYCE (all you can eat) to order sushi can go both ways. You have places in Queens that are like godsends but are A) Expensive and B) Far orrrrr you have little family spots with 50% off specials and questionable fish. Sushi time sort of falls in the middle of both these extremes. Too start, the decor is nothing to really speak of. My group theorized that it could have been some murky Irish bar prior to serving sushi. There isn't much on the walls apart from TVs and the random hanging light. Bleh.. dark and boring. Two menus greet you with Japanese fare and sushi selections. I opted for soups, two different types of salads and pretty much skipped over the rest. I was there for fish that night, not chicken katsu.The soups arrived fast and hot, prefect for the snowmageddon temperatures that had befallen us that day. I enjoyed the little bowls of kani and seaweed salad. We ordered about 6 rolls and for the most part they were barely discernible from their descriptions on the AYCE menu. The "crunch" was a smattering of tempura flakes and mush and nothing was particularly "spicy" so often times you were left thinking - wait what roll was that? What did I eat? The answer is FISH...... I think. Ordering many rolls is manageable as they were on the slightly smaller side. The sashimi wasn't cut/trimmed very well and they kept shorting us one piece each every single time we put in an order. They also kept forgetting things here and there making us wonder if it's even coming. One tiny scoop of ice cream for dessert. Sigh, what can you expect for the low price? Overall taste-wise the sushi was fair to good but I'd estimate a 3 out of 5. For $20 on a weeknight it's a steal l as long as you're not praying to the porcelain god later that night ( I didn't or else they'd be getting fewer stars). My best friend, twin sister, fiancé, and I arrived around 7:30 on a Thursday night. The place was very busy, so I wasn't too sure about how service would be, compared to other AYCE sushi places. We were seated right away and they brought us waters and glasses for our bottle of wine since the place is BYOB. Great start. We were given the 2 sheets, hot food, and sushi. We put numbers next to what seemed to be 1,000 things. But, everything came out quickly. The tempura options were plentiful and came out hot and crispy. As for the sushi/sashimi, it was also delicious. Sashimi was fresh, and sushi was imaginative. I loved the filet mignon roll and the spicy tuna banana roll! We ordered 2 huge platters of sushi and tons of appetizers. The service was impeccable and we were in and out in about an hour. What more can you want for $20/pp?! If I went to a sushi restaurant and ordered all that our check would have been closer to $200. Can't beat that! read more

If you're not down to drop $$$ on Minado and just looking to get a quick fix of decent sushi in massive quantities, you should be coming here instead. Since I first started coming here years ago, I'm impressed the prices have stayed steady for the most part. AYCE sushi! Check off menu items and wait to get bombarded with food. The a la carte sushi here is pretty standard. Besides the fact that each specialty roll consists of variations of the same ingredients (avocado, tuna/ salmon,spicy, crunch, tempura shrimp/crab..etc), they all are all filling. Tempura shrimp, fried hot foods (calamari, katsu), protein skewers, usually can't go wrong with those in my opinion.Dessert is usually only limited to 3 ice cream flavors. Tempura banana is only served before 6:30pm. (skip it, it's too mushy) Remember this isn't anything like the almighty Minado in terms of selection and quality, but who cares when you're uncomfortably full of sushi. Service is quick. Came for the filet mignon roll which I liked because evrything else felt less fresh than the sushi at sushi palace. It's a dollar more here than the other place. The man with the glasses who serviced us was not very accomodating. We wanted a bigger space for a group of four, but they didn't accomodate our request initially. After a few minutes, we asked again and the man grumbily moved a two person table next to ours. The place was only 1/3 full so I'm not sure why he didn't let us sit in the circle table in the first place. We also wanted the kitchen menu papers again to get desert after our first round, but they said to just let them know without the paper. After we had said what we wanted, one of the servers ended up giving us the paper because it was more than he thought he could remember.. LOL Also, the server came back and asked us if we wanted to modify our order because we had ordered too much for the first round..Why? We wanted that much.. Thought that was weird. The canned drinks are really dirty. You have to clean the top off to get the dust/gunk off. Napkins are real thick. Rock shrimp app has the instestines not cleaned out of it. Dont eat. They only use only pieces of whole shrimp then real whole shrimp. Setting is really dark. They didnt have any lights open when we were there. I think they expected the sunlight to give the light. Mandatory tip: 15%... If you do plan on going, I recommend: special edamame (stir fry with special spicy seasoning), filet mignon roll, the roll with mango, spicy salmon, avocado, and crunchy (dont remember name). Overall, I wouldnt go to this place again. I would go to Sushi Palace in centereach which is cheaper and the salmon sashimi goes down smoother and is fresher. read more

Ate here at 1pm on Saturday, we were helped pretty quickly. They gave us two sheets of paper (with a pen, which I wasn't quite fan of because I don't like commitment like that), one for the kitchen and one for sushi. The sushi orders took a bit longer to come out, which I understand. They did have about 5 people working in the sushi section and quite a few waiters so things did move quickly. They weren't slow to throw another piece of paper down once you were on your last pieces, which was great after the first round and PROMPTLY denied after the second round. We started with seaweed salad which tasted fresh and like it should. Our first round of sushi was good...probably should have stopped there. I go the rock roll to start with some other simple rolls, it was good but not one I'd go back for. The second round had sex on the beach (which was my favorite, the roll...not the act, ugh sand). The yellowtail sushi was also quite good. Overall, I would say the fish tasted fresh enough, it wasn't spectacular. It was very satisfying, perhaps too much. For 23 bucks, this was definitely a good deal. I couldn't eat for the rest of the day and struggled to stay awake, but that's on me. Uhmmm second negative review I've ever left. So I arrive to eat, first time here in this part of town so decided to try it out. It seemed okay at first, I didn't dint the huge language barrier when trying to talk to the staff I'm okay with that but after a couple rounds of sushi I saw something move on the tables it was 2 baby roaches. I called the staff over to where she called the manager and wiped it away in a rag and said sorry, I asked if I could have my bill as that made me want to throw up, I paid my tab and left. They said they were trying to get rid of them. Worst experience ever at a sushi place tbh, they didn't even offer to cover the tab (28) or half or nothing and tbh i didn't care just wanted to leave at that point. read more

Been here a few times over the years, I learned to start taking photos of my sheet before handing it off to them because you NEVER get your full order. They pick and choose what they give to you. I've noticed it's usually the more expensive things. If you don't want to serve it, take it off your all your can eat menu? We didn't make the menu, YOU did. This particular time they picked and chose almost all the food my friend ordered and maybe 2 things of mine so I was left still hungry and waiting a long time for our second order to get what I should've gotten in the first place. That being said, I ordered tobiko twice, never got it. I NEVER get my yellowtail the first time I order it here. They straight up cut your sushi order in half everytime to avoid people over-ordering. (Just charge a fee for take home, simple solution.) We ordered dessert, they gave us 2/4 things and dropped the check on us at the same time as if we had been there awhile for any reason other then their own fault for not having served us properly the first time. The cherry on the top of why we'll never be going back is my friend saw them hand the sushi chef a plate from a table, he proceeded to take the used wasabi and ginger off the plate and place it under the glass in his station with the rest of his wasabi and ginger to be re-used. We tried both cooked food and sushi and they both can't even tow the line at "meh". As for sushi I'm not the raw eating sushi eater but even the cooked roll wasn't even supermarket or gas station quality. Sadly this place got a bunch of good reviews which is why we tried it. This place deserves zero stars. They are rude and nasty to their customers, they cut orders down because they don't want people to order x amount. Reason for not 5 stars is that their service isn't the best, and the past few times I've been there (including tonight) there's been flies circulating the dining room-including around my food. Other than that their all you can eat deal is great. Unlimited all you can eat anything on the menu for $20-22 or so, a person depending on when you go. Filet mignon roll is definitely the best. But all of their rolls are delicious. The manager at the front desk who takes care of all payments is always super friendly. One of my favorite sushi spots to go to! HOWEVER, if you come here when it's busy, the service is abysmal. You notice that some servers adapt and try to do as much as they can but one in particular just kind of went her own pace no matter how busy it was. This place is under staffed to say the least. Waitresses are busing tables, bringing out food, taking to go orders, seating people, etc. that's why stuff gets missed. So on a busy time 2 stars. I put in an order and got about half of it. I had to get my own order tickets because there was not a server in sight. I think at some point they just are wanting for the eaters to stop ordering. Understandable. Great value. Not fancy decor. But plenty of choices for one price. Seemed like everything on the menu was included. Sushi was fresh and the rolls were creative and delicious. Excellent service, too.
