Husband and I went for late lunch on a Sunday. The service was great. They were really quick with taking our order and our check. However, I can't overlook how sick the sushi made me. My husband ordered a baked roll and I ordered a fresh roll with gobo and eel. Immediately upon finishing our meal, we felt super sick. YUM! I came here the first time for my birthday - they were super nice and accommodated a party of about 20 people and made sure we were all served quickly! The rolls are well priced because if your table orders 3 or more, the rolls are 50% off which is amazing! The fish is fresh, the rolls have great flavor and I really enjoyed it. I had to come back a second time before leaving town and stopped by with a couple friends and we were so happily satisfied after finishing up our meal. Our food came out in a timely manner. We got the spicy scallop, salmon, yellow tail, yellow tail belly, salmon belly, and the shiro roll. All were especially delightful. The sashimis were so fresh they just melted happily on your tastebuds. The shiro roll had a satisfying blend of flavors. And my most favorite of all, the spicy scallop. It was a kick to my buds as they were partying away. It wasn't too spicy, the right amount of flavor, and scallop. Let me be clear: there is a reason why this place is so busy all the time. The food is DELICIOUS. Never experienced any less. My family and I come here often. That being said, I advise to order online and pick up as opposed to in person experience. Sadly I think I have lost my taste for this place. We came randomly for lunch this past time, and there were large groups seated, and no rush to get us Into the small spaces in between. If they are pacing their service due to low staff, the LEAST you can do is make your waiting customers AWARE. Instead of sweating outside for 35 minutes, wondering when we were going to get called. The guests ahead of us left. One group's dad/husband was standing Inside staring at them until they updated us/sat us. Absolutely ridiculous. I think the worst part was having a random couple walk in, and be seated ahead of us. The waiter seemed to know them, and was laughing and catching up with them, the staff even gave him a fist bump! That really pissed us off because there was no one ahead of us on the wait list, so they just walked in and got seated. As a consistent customer for 5+ years, not sure why our family/selves never received even recognition for being regulars. Yes the food is good, but as a small business owner myself, i have lost respect for the service here. Again begins the hunt for a decent sushi spot. We like to give our hard earned $80+ money to people who really APPRECIATE IT. P.S On our bill, there was an added 15% tip included in the price. For a party of 3...... I rarely leave bad reviews, but I wanted to let you know what you're in for if you come here. Atmosphere and service are really lacking; it's basically a cafeteria style room with tables all lined up in rows. Things look fairly clean inside. Employees are working hard to get everyone served and clean tables. We came in right before closing (which we didn't realize until we saw the paper sign on the way in about new hours). We ordered three rolls and two soft drinks. A lot of reviews talk about the "3 roll special" (buy three rolls get %50 off), but the prices are so high that it's not actually cheaper than any other sushi spot around. No one is charging $24 for a 8 piece Tiger Roll (shrimp). Overall, the food was just OK and seemed sloppily thrown together. It seems like they had quite a few take-out orders so maybe that's more their thing. With a little ambiance and a menu makeover this place could be good. read more

I came back recently and discovered that they were having promotions and making the prices cheaper... but it really reflects upon the quality of what I'm getting... I would understand if she brought 5, but why four.. then she brings 4 more... ahem... it's 9.. not 8 -_- I was immediately unhappy with the service. We ordered a handful of items... and I'll admit it came out fast... but let me point out the memorable parts: Oysters -- My first oyster was very grainy. They need to learn how to shuck or learn how to clean these oysters better. And on my second oyster, it was so UN FRESH!! I stopped eating the oysters... no need to damage my taste buds Mussels -- okay. Salmon belly Sashimi -- unevenly cut. There was a roll (I forgot the name), like a lobster roll or something.. It was a california roll base with little crawfish on top and baked... GROSS!! I could tell immediately the crawfish was not fresh... Salmon Skin Roll -- delicious!! Caterpillar Roll -- acceptable Green tea ice cream -- too sweet. Definitely not the same one as they had back then. Although they're still offering the 50% off your total price with purchasing 3 or more rolls... it's not the deal you think it is. Granted, the food is good but a rainbow roll was $12 on the menu... now it's $22?! I bought two rainbow rolls and one salmon scallop roll and my total was $36.64 with the "50% off" prior to the "discount" it was $44 for the two rainbow rolls and roughly $24 for the salmon scallop roll... that's $70 bucks for 3 rolls when in reality it should be like $35-$38 before the "50% off" deal. You're not really getting a deal... you're paying regular price. I don't mind paying regular price, I'm mostly frustrated at the fact that they jacked up the prices and promote false advertising. read more

My usual sushi spot was closed today so I decided to venture out and try something new. I have eaten here a few times but this was the first time I decided to do take out and eat alone. I was very impressed with the quality and portions. The salmon sashimi was fresh and smooth that were very good and big pieces. I really enjoyed everything I ordered. The food is good! The special is 50% sushi rolls on orders with 3 or more rolls. This makes rolls between $5-10 dollars each. It is a hit or miss with the staff. Some are great and some won't check on you until you're done with your meal. The chefs are great though! Pros: Great customer service, good sushi, clean environment, and awesome deal (buy 3 rolls, get 50% off most items). Cons: Only thing I can think of is waiting outside when it's busy and cold. This place is just perfect. Splitting 3 rolls with my girlfriend is more than enough to give us food coma. I ordered the shrimp boat (shrimp, salmon roe, and quail egg), 1 stupid squid (some kind of rolled up squid with something else in it), 1 caterpillar roll, and 1 soft shell crab roll. So the the shrimp boat sounds super exotic so we went for it. However, it kind of had these 4 textures: chewy, soft, slimy, and crunchy. It wasnt a bad mix of textures but it wasnt impressive to me. It all just kind of tasted like shrimp and rice. $4 for 2 I had the stupid squid, I think this came in 6 pieces. Definitely not worth the order. Just really tasted like fried squid. $15 -- not worth the price at all. 1 Caterpillar roll: You cant mess this up. Eel sauce is sweet. Avocado. rice, it was all well proportioned - $16 Soft Shell Crab roll tasted like a tempura roll.
