This was my favorite sushi spot for three years, but lately I've noticed that the managers here continue to treat not only my girlfriend and I like we are going to steal everything in the place, but others as well. The food is fine, but if there's no spot at the bar top you and who ever you are with must both do either a la carte or all you can eat. "You cannot not be trusted to not share." No Customer Service! It is non-existent. Went here with friends as party of 6 including an 8 year old. One of the people in our party can't eat rice due to bariatric surgery (weight loss surgery). We were told that EVERYONE in our party had to do the All-You-Can-Eat in order to sit at a table. If not, our only option was the sushi bar. Sitting at a sushi bar with 5 people and a child defeats the whole purpose of having dinner with friends as its very difficult to have an inclusive conversation. And with a child, its even harder if his mom wanted to sit with her friends to socialize. As for the person who is on medically restricted diet, she said that was okay and that she would just pick the sushi apart and let the price not be an issue for what she would eat. The most she can eat is about 1/2 cup. Not very many pieces of fish for close to $30 bucks. The waitress said "No, you HAVE to eat the rice." We explained both situations to the waitress but she had no understanding of what we said and still insisted that all of our party had to do all-you-can-eat and EAT THE RICE to sit at a table, or sit at sushi bar. Unbelievable! The person who can't eat rice could not believe what was happening. She said she has never faced an issue like this when it came to her dietary needs. Needless to say, we left and DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone who would like decent customer service or if you have diet restrictions. We went to another sushi place in Mill Creek with excellent service and made accommodations for all of our needs as most restaurants will do. Turns out the food was way better too. The sushi here is very simple made by faux sushi chefs. Don't waste your time or money. Go somewhere else. read more

I went in not expecting much while being optimistic. I purposefully ordered only rolls with cooked items. It was just very poor effort in the food and nothing tasted very fresh. The green tea tasted like hot tap water and I was not able to discern any taste of tea leaves. The quality of the food was extremely poor for the amount of money that was paid. Sushi doesn't have to be expensive to be delicious. There are many better options in the area for decent sushi. This place tasted worse than even sushi land but costs substantially more. Think about why one eats sushi. For me it's the enjoyment. It's not to master the art of shovelling 20+pieces of varying rolls in a frat style orgy. It's about the quality and taste of the fish. I like this place alot. The owner is fun and entertaining and stays busy in the feeding frenzy. When I have friends who need big hunky steaks to fill em I bring em here. You have to eat the rice or there's a charge. They need you to fill up on all you can eat rolls full of rice so they make a profit. The sushi was good, the people making it were friendly and did a very good job. It wasn't out of the ordinary special, and I would have given this place a 3 or 4 had it not been for the complete #$%^@ behind the counter. Seriously, the fat lady who works in here is MEAN. She told me I wasn't allowed to use my cell phone in the restaurant. She was afraid I was taking pictures of the food so I could steal ideas to how they were making their sushi. It was absolutely ridiculous. She flipped out on me. First of all, the sushi isn't so amazing that I think anyone would actually want to take pictures of it for the purpose of copying their style; as I mentioned, it's nothing out of the ordinary, just run of the mill sushi. Second of all, I ordered tea and it never came. I even reminded her after about ten minutes and she still just never brought it. To truly enjoy this place, it requires three things: Timing, frequency, and assertiveness. First is timing: you ought to get to Sushi Ring a few minutes before they start lunch or dinner to avoid having to wait or being seated at a table. The best place to sit is the bar if you are going for the all you can eat sushi within the one-hour time limit. If you are going to just order ala carte, then a table will be fine as the waitress will be by to take your order to the chef. Otherwise, the sushi bar is where the real eating takes place. Second is frequency: your experience and service will improve the more you come to Sushi Ring (you might even be in when Elvis is there!!). The staff does a pretty good job of remembering their regulars even if you have only been in about two or three times that month. They also become increasingly warm towards you if they see you enough and you know how their restaurant works. This benefits you as they will be more on top of making your order and refilling your water. Third is assertiveness: when sitting at the bar for the one-hour all you can eat time limit, you need to be loud and know what you want when ordering from the chef. These guys get pretty busy trying to keep up with everyone's orders, so when they are ready for you, be sure you have already picked a line-up for your meal there. I suggest you try one of everything including their decadent hand rolls that have been made with truly masterful hands. Be sure to try some of the secret items not on the menu. This is definitely sushi for people who eat a lot I don't even know if I would even call this sushi. C grade sushi ingredients piled together. I paid 20$ for 2 rolls that completely missed the mark I'm not even sure you can classify these as rolls. They look like a pile of sushi ingredients. I'm not too familiar with specific rolls yet (boyfriend got me hooked on sushi within the last year or so) so it would've been easier to have pictures/descriptions of what was in each roll (I have food allergies, so it's nice to know what's in what.) All in all, pretty laid back during lunchtime on the day I went in. I prefer servers that don't bug you while you eat but still check in every so often, so they hit right on the mark there. I got a cup of miso soup, & two rolls, both were pretty good. Decently priced too, but nothing to elevate it "above average," but I don't consider this a negative thing. WORSE SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!! I took my wife there for Valentine's day dinner, what a mistake. It took a bit for the waitress to come over and take our order. When she did come over she seemed very annoyed and distracted. We asked for miso soup, a beer and a glass of plumb wine. The beer and the wine showed up, but no soup. Thought it might show up in a bit. Then our rolls showed up, well 1/2 of them. About 15 min. later the other 1/2 showed up and they were the wrong ones. I would have said something to her, but she dropped them and left so fast I didn't have a chance to say anything. After we ate those (even tho they were wrong, we were hungry) we waited for her to come back so we can ask for our soup and order more sushi. 25 MINUTES after we finished eating, she FINALLY came back to our table. I was so ticked off we just wanted to leave. She asked me if everything was ok, I said no I want the bill. She left, came back with the bill. Didn't ask what was wrong, obviously she didn't care (you can always tell the workers from the owners!). I paid the $35.93, of course there was no tip, and left. Save yourself time, money and a lousy experience. Go less than 1 mile south on 19th. There are 2 other sushi joints on the right just after 132nd. You will thank me for it. read more

My sister was raving about an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, so the night before her wedding, she went to Sushi Ring with her bridesmaids, myself included. It was pretty packed, and as my group waited, one of the waitresses snapped at us to sit down because they were already closed when it was only 8 pm. (The sign outside the door says they close at 9 pm). We squeezed into the bar and each of us chose the all-you-can-eat option. As we were eating, the same waitress who snapped at us, walked around us and rudely asked us if it was our first time at the restaurant.. We were confused by the question, and answered that it was our first time. She then began yelling at one of the girls because she did not finish all of her rice. At this point, the whole restaurant became silent and people began looking our way. My friend calmly told her she was eating the rice on the side and had no knowledge of the "rice rule." The head Chef then yelled, "do you want me to stop making sushi? Want me to keep going?" We were clearly embarrassed by the situation and decided to leave the restaurant. I am never going back to this restaurant. The staff there were clearly rude, and I was surprised by the lack of customer service. The head Chef did nothing but cause more embarrassement and did not even try to make the situation better. I felt bad for my sister who just wanted a nice dinner with her close friends the night before her most special day! P.S. My friends and I really enjoy coming to this sushi bar. Elvis is so fun and we can walk in the door, immediately receive a friendly greeting, and have our order's already going, as they know what we like to start with. It's impossible to order just one long roll, so the all you can eat menu is an excellent price for the quality of sushi here. I especially love the Peppered Tuna, as it tastes so fresh and clean. The Basil Salmon Roll is so succulent, and the contrast between the hot, crunchy tempura inside, with the cool salmon, drizzled with a creamy basil sauce, is just a wonderful mouth sensation. Going to Sushi Ring is worth the trip, and we consider this a little hidden treasure that's super popular, so word must be getting out. We heard good reviews of this place so decided to check it out. A small place (mainly a sushi bar with a few tables) in a strip mall across from silver lake in Everett. The staff was very friendly. We got to meet Elvis the sushi chef. Very hospitable and made sure we served. We could either order A La Carte or do all you can eat (23.95 weekday lunch and 28.95 Fri and Sat dinner). They even let you a la carte until you hit the all you can eat price and change. We just did a la carte not know what to expect. The food was decent. Not the best and not the worst. But the food came fast. You order, you blink and the roll is on the counter. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. They really pushed the all you can eat and try to make your experience a quick sit, eat and pay experience. I would go back if I wanted quick sushi or looking for a sushi binge. read more
