Hamachi nigiri & shrimp nigiri

Went to do the AYCE and wow just wow! You get the entire roll not just a few pieces. The food was fresh and delicious! The chef and servers were attentive and continuously checking on us and refilling our drinks.

So there are a few things about Sushi Ring you need to know before you get there. First, when you get there, don't let the look of the place steer you away. The staff is not the friendliest but in all our years of going there, we realize that is just how they are. They are actually very nice and hard-working people when you get to know them. I had to take off one star mainly because of the look of the place, but I can get past it for enjoyable all-you-can-eat sushi. It could use a little refresh in the dining room and maybe a good cleaning of the menus (it's a little sticky). We go there for the all-you-can-eat sushi. The sushi quality is pretty good and we enjoy it there. I come here for the upside-down shrimp (shrimp with rice on it and covered with creamy scallops). It is so good, and not many sushi restaurants have this option. I have to clap my hands with happiness when I have the upside-down shrimp. If you haven't been here before, you do have to keep an open mind and not be too bothered with the customer service.

So here it goes. I went in the day before. I ordered. I ate and now I'm sitting here with food poisoning. Starting feeling cramps and other symptoms just a couple hours after eating. I had nothing else to eat but sushi the whole day. I should've known better just by looking at some of the fish in the cold case. Looked old and been sitting in its liquid for a couple of days. It could've been anything. The fish, the calamari or the mussels. I wonder if the guy in the back making the appetizers even wore gloves. There was once when I saw the lady pick up the phone and forgot to change her gloves and continued on making hand rolls for the other guests. I was there by myself at first, but then 2 other guests came in followed by 3 more. Luckily, the lady had help arriving the same time as these other guests. The service was good, everyone was friendly. I definitely can tell which lady people has been talking about in their reviews being mean. She seemed very serious, but I think that's just how she is. Place was a little dirty, but not bad. I don't think I'll eat here again though. It was the conscious of ordering AYCE. I don't think they're meant to be AYCE honestly as a family owned restaurant. It was something that wasn't right about it. 2 star because the service was not bad, but I did get sick. By the way the cream cheese was so much in the hand roll, it did not belong in it. It was so thick that I had a hard time swallowing each bite. I do give it to the ladies that prepare the sushi. I know they weren't professional sushi chefs, but overall their presentation wasn't bad.

You cannot beat here all you can eat sushi option. You will often spend a lot more going somewhere else. An not having the same high quality. I highly recommend the Cody and mountain rolls.

The food was outstanding! I absolutely fell in love with the all you can eat option and tried lots of different rolls! An absolute luxury, but keep in mind that it will cost 40 USD after tax. I enjoyed the salmon nagiri, caterpillar rolls, calamari, pink roll, rainbow roll, another I forgot, and I believe another. All of them were plain delightful. ;) If I purchased all those rolls individually, it would cost me roughly 90 USD or something. So, I got my money's worth. Well, in reality this restaurant is a gimmick like all of the buffets. They fill you up on carbs and your beverage of choice to make you full. But, it's still the best deal I know of in the pacific northwest by far. Going to other sushi places would cost a fortune for 5 different rolls. Don't know where all the negativity about the staff comes from. The woman making rolls and the other chef were attentive. I loved it and will be coming back. :)

Food was amazing, a little pricey but worth it if you are hungry! Service was excellent, fast and kind

I have had much better service here and quality of food. The chef Elvis was not here and neither was the experience. Won't be back.

Very nice for an all you can eat place. The fish is pre cut but they can pump rolls out very quickly. Great options for handrolls.

Not one minute earlier or later, which makes sure your food is fresh when you're supposed to be there. Inside there are many tables for one person to sit or I think up to 6 people to sit. Lots of seating for any group size! I usually get the medium tenders and my sister gets medium wings. The sauce is very good - balances out how spicy these can get. I feel like I have a pretty high spice tolerance but I am afraid to go higher honestly. I like the spiced fries add on, I think they are very worth it. A good amount and they are very tasty. The box also comes with a piece of white bread on the bottom to soak up any excess juices or spices. I don't know if you're meant to eat it but I do :) The chicken is always very juicy, whether you get the tenders or the wings. At least for the tenders, it's a kind of melt in your mouth chicken. And paired with how spicy it can get, it is overall a very nice dish. I think the prices are not egregious and the food is worth the price. We come back every time we're craving good, spicy chicken. And for getting three tenders I'm unable to eat all of it so I'm able to finish the rest for dinner :)

Rare Society - Steak board

5 Stars (for Mark) I…read morefound Rare Society on TikTok and made the drive up from Bellevue with my girlfriend, curious to see if this place lived up to its upscale steakhouse reputation. The short answer ..it's complicated but one person made all the difference. When we got there about 30 minutes early, we were told we could sit in the lounge and still receive full service, which was a nice touch. That said, there was no one at the front to greet us for a minute or two upon arrival. Small thing, but when a restaurant markets itself as a high-end experience, that first moment matters. We got seated quickly and then came Mark. He wasn't dressed like a server, so I honestly wasn't sure who he was at first, but his level of attentiveness made it immediately clear this was someone who genuinely cares about the guest experience. He explained that he was supporting our actual waiter, who was also covering bartending duties that evening. Whether that's a staffing concern or just how the night unfolded, I'll leave that to management to reflect on. What I won't leave unacknowledged is this..Mark was extraordinary! He knew the menu inside and out, kept our water filled, checked on us consistently, and made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just served. He even took the time to ask for our names. He spoke highly of our waiter throughout the entire evening, which says a lot about his character. My girlfriend and I were both floored. I'd take someone in a hoodie with Mark's warmth and knowledge over a perfectly dressed server going through the motions any day. The entire experience was held up by Mark. The entire time all the way to the end. It seems like Mark was required to relay all orders to our server. Ultimately our actual server simply delivered only the desert and checked if it was good. When my water glass was empty during dessert, it went unnoticed by him. Mark caught it. Of course he did. This isn't about entitlement. This is about living up to the competition and high end standard Food was Fantastic. Compliments to the chef The Surcharge, Worth Mentioning The receipt included a 4% surcharge described as covering competitive industry compensation, including health benefits for valued full-time employees. I respect transparency around labor costs. But here's the question worth sitting with: if this charge genuinely covers employee health benefits, why is it removable on request? A real operational cost doesn't disappear because a guest felt uncomfortable asking. It starts to feel less like a principled stance and more like a pricing strategy dressed in goodwill language. Five stars and they belong entirely to Mark. He is the standard this restaurant should be measuring itself against. Rare Society, if you're reading this..promote him, learn from him, and make sure he knows how much he elevated what could have been a forgettable evening into something genuinely memorable. Everything about this place is trying to be rare. Mark already is

Ordered Cadillac margaritas which came out quickly, not very strong, good flavor overall (not too sweet). Chips and salsa were good, guacamole could use more lime. Shared a chile relleno which was standard. Daughter ordered pollo a la crema which was not overly creamy, chicken was tender. Sister got albondigas (meatball soup), broth had a nice roasted corn base. I ordered their menudo which came with tender (clean tasting) intestines, and one pata (foot). I added some of their chili oil which was smoky and balanced. Tried their other salsitas which were also good, habanero had good heat and pineapple had a nice touch of sweetness.

But the kitchen is doing a ton of great things from scratch and the menu is huge. It's way more than just a corner Mexican spot. In long The ratings have been high forever and we've been wanting to try it for at least a year. Finally found ourselves with the right amount of time in the right location yesterday. We caught them after the lunch rush, and dude was super nice to come out and hold the door so I could wheel my bride in. There are a few flatscreens up, and in back there are single-occupant washrooms. It's not a big room, but it's festive and they clearly have regulars, judging by the warm greetings are a couple more tables filled up. We had our pick of tables and we settled in to go over the hugely long menus. Do you want something familiar or something fewer places offer? The kitchen runs the gamut here. You get fresh, light chips on the table with some delicious scratch salsa that even packs a bit of heat. We finally settled on pozole and tacos al carbon. They bring out avocado salsa and pineapple salsa, which both add a ton of good flavor. The red table salsa is where the heat is, though. The tacos were delicious, tons of juicy chopped steak inside. I went with this overly-safe pick and didn't regret it at all. The pozole was incredible, lots of real bone stewed in with the meat, tons of great flavor in the broth and super soft, tender, flavorful pork. Lots of tasty condiments. Beautifully homey and comforting soup to warm your bones on a cold wet day. We took more than half of it home--very generous portion. We also checked out a margarita and a mai tai, and both were excellent. You really have to try the food here to get the full effect of how good it is. You can kinda tell the kitchen is ambitious by reading the menu online, and that's promising for sure. But all those house-made scratch touched throughout every subrecipe will exceed even high expectations like ours. Great place, and we're dumb for taking so long to try it.

They both get an A-plus for their service! And with the exception of a couple guys ordering the cheeseburger, we all ordered different things. Here's a few observations from my end - all dishes were loved by everyone: - Chicken Noodle Salad - excellent, and a meal...you won't leave hungry - Fish tacos - 2 to an order, with perfectly-fried cod...and the slaw was superb - Mussels and clams - both guys thought they were the best they have had - Clam chowder - rich, thick, and creamy - Grilled cheese/tomato soup - excellent, and filling with a great cheese-to-toast ratio By the way, the burgers were all Wagyu...very juicy. I don't believe you can go wrong with any menu item, quite honestly, and they were able to serve us all at the same time even though we ordered at the counter separately!
