This all you can eat sushi restaurant in Lincoln Park rises above its competitors by offering a wide selection of cold and hot apps and entrees. Sushi is plentiful, of course, but my kids were able to order their favorites (chicken katsu, dumplings, edamame, mochi ice cream) while the adults enjoyed sashimi and rolls. Great spot! Only one server while we were there so it was a tad slow. Otherwise, it was a great dining experience with the family. read more

Nothing can go wrong when you have ayce ribeye steaks and soft shell crab!!! The cut was thin but you can order as many as you want. The fried oyster was amazing. The rolls were on par. Definitely worth the visit. Will come again. I wish I taken more photos but it was all gone by the time I picked up my phone. read more

Made a reservation for a party of 6 on a Friday night for 7:30pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 720pm. It's 811pm now and still haven't been seated. The hostess has told me a a couple of times already that'll it will be another 5 minutes. Have seen 4 groups that have come in after us be seated before us. I've been here before. The sushi is great but I would avoid this place like the plague on Friday nights if you have a group larger than 2 people. They can't handle the traffic. Update. Another group was just seated before us. Finally seated at 830pm. They said sorry, the people at the table we're planning to seat you at have been at their table for three hours...understandable but it says two hour limit on your menu. Especially for a group that isn't even eating anymore and just sitting there. As far as the food. I have no complaints with that. The rolls are good. The Godzilla roll was my favorite. The appetizers were great. Service was fast and courteous. Other than the hour wait past our reservation time, everything else was great. I'd go back here again. Just not with a big group or on a Friday night. read more

Serving staff needs training. Was told a 5 min wait. Then waited 40mins. Still wasn't seated.

Came here for lunch with my bf. The $22.99 a person for lunch was a great price. Appetizers were on point. I tried almost all the apps on the menu! Rock shrimp was my favorite. Ate soo much sushi my stomach was going to burst. Phoenix Roll was delish. Oh and try the Leona drink it was refreshing to drink. Definitely try this place. Blake and the staff were very attentive even when it was quite busy. read more

It's great, greal AYCE deal, better online deal. 3 rolls + soup and salad for ~$30 CANT BEAT IT

Its AYCE sushi, its definitely one of the better spots in the city, the service is not the best just make sure you order a good amount and try to get their attention. Its a nice looking place pretty modern not open dining room. read more

I was in the area for the weekend and liked it so much I ate there twice! I definitely recommend the all you can eat menu.

Service was great. Food was yummy. The appetizers were delicious. I loved that my party of 9 got our own separate area. We finished everything. The plating is beautiful too. The inside decor is very unique. I will be coming back. read more

I had a great time idk what these other people r talkin about. Price is similar to other ayce. Happy hour has great deals. Service was friendly and on point. Food is good! What I would expect from ayce. Cute decor too :) read more

AYCE Great deal!! The apps here are amazing! So much better than other AYCE places in the area. The sushi and nigiri was great too! The atmosphere is so nice and cozy. Way better than other places. Lastly the service was fanominal! Our waitress was super sweet, and constantly checking up on us. Cant wait to come back again! read more

Fresh fish, great atmosphere, all in all a terrific value and a really good time. Even though the restaurant was full we hardly waited for our food. Will definitely be back again! read more

I liked this place but it was a little weird. It was great in some ways and not so great in others. Bottom line is that the quality of the sushi is very good. The ambiance and Decor is very nice too. The only real problem with this place is the service. The service is really weird. I've been to many all you can eat places and this place is the most disorganized. If you are in a larger group, like in our case five people, it becomes difficult to figure out what's going on. The young men bringing the food to your table will show up and they say they don't know the names of the dish they are bringing you. So we didn't know who these specific items were for. We did have to wait for 45 minutes for them to even take our order. And then it was a little difficult to get their attention for things like water and napkins. But overall, the food is really good and the place is really nice inside. It's just that their service is very lackluster, to put it mildly. My recommendation to them would be, teach servers what the names of the items they are serving actually are. And then, please have the servers take note of the actual individual customer and bring them their specific order rather than making everyone at the table guess. read more

Better than Sushi Taku. Not much of a wait time. Food came out quick. Servers where okay. Not friendly

The food took forever, we waited half an hour and only got a miso soup, and another 30 mins to get only 2 pieces of sushi(we ordered more than 40 pieces!) Unacceptably bad service, I looked around the whole restaurant, majority of the tables are empty, people are all waiting to get their food! Now I know why people on other review said they "only" had 3 hours to eat, 3 hours is definitely not enough to get all you ordered!! After 2.5 hours of wait, we decided to leave, with more than half of what we ordered not served. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience. My party of 2 arrived at 4:20 to find the place closed. We were told they would be reopening at 5 due to a shortage of ingredients. We understood and patiently waited. Once we did get sat at 5 we were the firsts seated and saw the place fill up quite quickly. No one came around to take our order for 45 minutes. Even after they took our order we waited another 45 minutes watching as they kept seating tables and trying to squeeze more people in even though no one around us had gotten their food. We finally walked out after 2 hours of waiting. read more

LOVE this place. Been there several times now and the experience is always excellent. Awesome food, service and ambience. Definitely among the best sushi spots in the city. read more

Food was ok, but we waited 2 hours just for 20 pieces of Sushi and a few appetizers. We decided to leave early but cannot even find any waiters to get the check. I probably will never come back. read more

So disappointed!!! We were so excited to try this place last night. Fist date night in 6 months. All we wanted was sushi and this place sounded fun and the pictures look delicious. Unfortunately our food never got served or maybe it did but after over an hour of waiting we walked out. I don't think I've ever actually walked out of a restaurant before. Sad! Also they don't say they are BYOB but beware if you want a drink you better bring your own. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Our waitress seemed nice but we never saw her again. I don't feel that this is the her fault they are clearly way understaffed. No one was even there to check us in for our reservation. Another group came and sat down next to us and then someone appeared and told them the table was reserved and they had to leave. There were 3 open tables the whole hour and a half we were there. Not sure we will be back but if we are it won't be soon. This place has so much potential but they need to hire more staff fast. So very sad! Really wanted sushi!!! read more

When looking at the reviews online I was very skeptical about this place but I wanted to check it out myself. Me and 4 of my friends had come for dinner on 8/4 and were enjoying every bite we had. The food was great but the service needs work. We as a table had our water filled once. We had to flag down the waitress to get our other rounds of sushi. Between rounds we had waited around 20 min to get our order put in. The last round we had ordered after waiting a majority of our time here not getting serviced we were told we couldn't order any more because we hit the two hour limit. The plates of food we were provided weren't on the table for any longer than 10 minutes before our party had finished the food. The table would fill up with plates before it was eventually taken away. That being said, the 18% gratuity that was added to the bill at the end did not seem justified due to the lack of service that was provided. read more

Sushi Payce - Salmon Crunch Roll, Angry Dragon Roll, Phoenix Roll, and Tiger Roll - Sushi Bars Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I would say this is the best AYCE sushi experience I've had in Chicago. The quality of rolls and fish to rice ratio was far superior than any of the AYCE I've had. When our food came out, the rice had the perfect temp and texture and fish was fresh. You can get carpaccio and nigiri as well. I preferred the rolls and carpaccio over nigiri. Really loved miguro and Tiger rolls. The service was a bit slow and we ended up having to wait over 30min for our first round but our server noticed us waiting and apologized profusely and sped up the next round for us to make up. I thought it was a very kind gesture. Overall the atmosphere was very vibrant and inviting and food was delicious. It was a great value and I would definitely be dining in again soon. read more

This place just opened up and the food was pretty good for the price. It was all you can eat food, and dessert! (You have to pay extra for any drinks) The dinner price was $33, and the lunch was $22. For appetizers, we ordered the pork gyoza, the crab ragoons, and the rocked shrimp. The rocked shrimp was DELICIOUS. Definitely one of the best appetizers here. The pork gyoza was decent, but a little dry. The crab ragoon was too crispy, with not enough crèam. The rolls we ordered were the King Kong roll, the crunchy salmon roll, the California roll, and the dragon on fire. I really liked the dragon on fire which didn't need any spicy mayo because the sauce was very thick and tasty. The salmon and King Kong roll were good. For dessert we wanted to try the mochi but they ran out. Instead they gave us mango pudding which was refreshing. The reason I gave 3 stars was because the service was awful. We got here at 5:30pm, and it took an extremely long time to get our food, the waiting times in between, and just a lack of communication of what was going on. We didn't get our spicy mayo that we asked for until the very end of our meal after asking 3 times, I ordered a Thai iced tea and they waited 2 hours to tell me that they sold out, and took another hour to get me a different drink. Every time we needed anything it would take forever to get ANYTHING, and it was pretty empty at the restaurant. You could tell the staff was very new because they were just as confused as we were. (Super friendly though). Many of the customers were very annoyed with the service and looked agitated as well. They need to do a better job training their staff and working in a more time efficient manner. Food was decent for the price. read more

Sushi Payce has incredible food with so many options to choose from. I always do the all you can eat, and let me tell you, it is worth it! I went for the lunch and dinner specials, however, dinner has more options than the lunch but with only a few add ons! The service is always spot on and never had a bad time there! Also, the decor is always so pretty! read more

Not cleanly. Service was very slow. Rude waitstaff. Had a reservation @ 8:30. Didn't get any apps until 9:15. Slow to greet us. Sushi wasn't great. read more

I came in for dinner on a Monday night with family and had an incredible experience all around. The decor and ambience is better than any other AYCE sushi restaurant in town (and possibly in the US). The staff was extremely friendly and the food came out quickly. I'm not sure if the negative reviewers are just particularly impatient or if things are in a much better place now but it was a 5/5 service experience in my book. Now on to the food, the real star of the show. I alluded to this earlier but I can't believe this wasn't a normal non-AYCE restaurant based on the quality of the sushi. I live in South Loop and had Umai last weekend. Don't get me wrong, Umai is good too but for $33/per person, you are not leaving Umai satiated. Name another place where you can eat as much nigiri and sushi as you want where the quality exceeds Sushi Payce and I'll Venmo you $20. The appetizers were all great - we ordered a little of everything and nothing disappointed. My personal favorite was the soft shell crab but I'm partial to soft shell crab. From the nigiri section, you can't go wrong with salmon and unagi. Both were fantastic. My favorite roll was the rainbow roll. Variety of fish, great presentation, and a nice balance in each piece/bite. Again, one single roll of this caliber would cost $14-$16 at a normal sushi restaurant but you can order as much as you can eat here for $33. I highly recommend you check out Sushi Payce yourself and try out this gem before the secret it out and before the reviews correct to where they should be; 5 stars! read more

I went here two weeks ago and I'm giving 5 stars for the quality of food and the kindness of servers. Yes they are understaffed and yes the food did take a while to come out. But what do people expect it just opened. I will definitely be coming back in a few months once they iron out their opening kinks. The crispy tuna rice appetizer and all of the special rolls were delicious read more

My kids recommended this place sending us a TikTok link. Parking- free on one of the side streets, They took us in without reservations. Covid regs in place. Appearance- clean, well kept and themed and has a quiet atmosphere with some classical anime music. Set up was well thought of. Our waiter was engaging yet subtle. We chose the buffet and I have to say it was among the best sushi buffet experience. Food was made to order and delivered timely. The pacing allowed us to reset and talk about the food we just savored and then the next set of food comes out. It's like one of those 12 course meal only this me is beyond that. Taste: got all the sashimi and the accompanying rolls. All tasted really good! Presentation is 5/5. The buffet experience was unique! Price point is reasonable given the taste, service and presentation. read more

I have been to a lot of ayce sushi places around the city (sushi para, sushi takku, koi, etc. ) and I can confidently say this is the best quality and service by far. The appetizers and sushi are very fresh and the interior of the restaurant feels like a nice sit down restaurant. Glad this place opened in the neighborhood. Will be coming back soon! read more

Yuck. Nothing about this place was good. The food was not fresh, rice tasted old, rolls fell apart, tempura was soggy, salmon was discolored. It was just a mess. There are more silk flowers as decorations throughout than I have ever seen in my life, just tacky. We wound up here because Ringo was closed on Monday (Ringo is fantastic!) We noticed everyone else was doing the all you can eat. I can't imagine eating more than my two rolls of subpar sushi. Prior to ordering we asked if we could do a la carte. Waiter said yes. We were then presented with a $70+ bill for our four rolls. Nope, a la cart was less than half of that. Took a minute to fix but my read is this is mainly a bulk, low quality all you can eat spot. read more
