What a cool spot!! The outdoor patio was awesome. We then went downstairs to the Devious Lounge. It had a great vibe. Andy, our bartender, was great and made excellent recommendations for both food and drink. Will definitely go back!!! read more

Cool atmosphere, nice vibe with bar space and seating upstairs, downstairs and on the patio. We only stopped for a quick drink but would love to return to try the food, especially a burger. Looks like burger specials during the week. My only gripe was the Parisian old fashioned I ordered came with the big ice cube but was served in a small plastic cup so the cube was over the rim and made it a little challenging to sip. I am wondering if disposable cups are just used on game days perhaps? It was too chilly for the patio for us, but there are a lot of places to sit outside. read more

I was waiting for this location to open for a while, and was not disappointed when it finally did. The space is beautiful and there is plenty of seating, both inside and out on the patio. The beer selection is good, and they also have a full bar with delicious cocktails. What you might not know is that they have a great space downstairs with a speakeasy vibe. You can get all the same drinks down there, but it's a little more intimate and romantic. They also have good fruit specials on certain days. I will come back again and again. read more

Nice spot to pregame a Cubs game at Wrigley. We got some fun beers and sat on the patio. Great service, good selection and can handle a large group. They also had a fun bar in the basement. Check it out. read more

The tater tots were amazing! My favorite pairing when drinking and if it's on the menu I'm getting them. It was a few hours before the game so it was not busy. We got seating on the patio. Our server was helpful with explaining the drinks. It was a chill place. Will add this to my list when back in the city for a game. read more

Nice patio and good lunch at Pilot. Service was great, attentive kind server. Small menu. The burrito was delicious, flavorful, and had a nice kick to it. Paired with a delicious sauce. Fries were cooked great and paired nice with a side of ranch. read more

We came to this spot after a cubs game to check out the devious lounge speakeasy. It wasn't too crowded so it was nice and intimate. Service was quick too. I tried a mezcal cocktail and tequila cocktail, and both were very sweet. We also shared a couple of plates. The soup dumplings were our favorite with lots of flavor. The chopped greens salad was a nice portion and fresh. The curry wings were nothing special. They were out of the steak frites (5pm on a Saturday) unfortunately. The bulgogi tots were very heavy and a big portion, but rightfully so since it was pricey. Overall, the food options are a nice change from a typical bar on Clark street but was still on the heavier side. Cool bar to check out though! read more

I was so excited to finally try out the third location of Pilot Project! The other two have different vibes and I didn't expect any different here. It feels more upscale, even though it's in Wrigleyville. The bartenders were great and we learned about daily specials that they're going to start having - $1 wing nights, burger specials, etc. My boyfriend and I split a bulgogi picadillo tostada wrap ($22). It was just enough for us as it's a large entrée. I was also quite happy with the beer selection. The ambience is nice and I like that they kept some of the rustic feeling components of the building so that you can tell it has some history. I heard there is a speakeasy style bar in the basement which I look forward to trying when it is open next time I visit. I bet their brunch out on the patio is quite nice, too! read more

A random Friday night pick , turned into a great night out! From the dimmed lighting in the basement , to the awesome staff and beautifully curated menu...this place is a MUST TRY! Went in with as a group of 5 , so we decided to order couple of things off the menu and share. My top picks would personally be the mole empanadas and bulgogi tots ! The empanadas are cooked to perfection along with a delicious mole (not spicy at all ) . The tots are crunchy perfection ! They have a perfect portion of meat , cheese, kimchi and of course a beautiful egg sunny side up to complete the dish! The drinks were also crafted to perfection ! Our host was happy to help / give great recommendations as well! read more

Service was great. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. I walked in for a late lunch with all my luggage and they were more than happy to make me comfortable. The hibiscus lime mule was served in a can with a glass of ice. Tasted great and I had two. The sour dumplings were delicious. Served with 5 dumplings. Just enough spice to be flavorful but not too hot. I was very pleased. read more

Had such a great time at Pilot Project that we not only checked out the downstairs lounge for dinner and drinks, but we also enjoyed the patio for some beer afterwards (they do not serve their beer in their downstairs lounge). Our server was so great and she truly made the experience. The food was AMAZING!! We had the ahi tuna nachos, bulgogi tots, and the soft pretzel (shared between 3). The nachos and tots had a generous portion of tuna/ bulgogi so there enough for every bite. I truly cannot choose a favorite between the two. The pretzel was good too but nothing that stood out. Although I wasn't a huge fan of their beer (I tried both of their sours and a lager), their cocktails were really good! Overall, I cannot wait to come back! read more

I am so excited to have Pilot so close to my apartment. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and got two flights and the steak frites. There wasn't a single beer that I didn't like. The bartender and servers were super friendly. I can't wait to come back and try even more beers, especially during the summer. Also I strongly recommend getting a flight when you go - they give you 10% off to-go beers. read more

Super nice bar that's just far enough from the stadium so it wasn't crazy loud and busy. We sat outside the first visit and ordered from the outdoor bar. They have lots of options for local and small breweries, both on tap and cans, so it felt nice to support them. I got the sour and it was great. The second time we went back, we sat in the lounge in the basement. It wasn't busy at all and I'm not sure why because it was so cool down there and the seating was cozy. The bartender was great and made us one of the best manhattans we've had. read more

beer in plastic glasses even with there are only 4 patrons in the restaurant, unacceptable. especially for a brew pub. give me a glass geeze. what's next, paper plates? staff is cold and dismissive and largely absent. customers are treated as a nuisance. interesting business approach. not sure why anyone would want to go here for any reason. always empty for a reason. read more

Our first time coming here and we will definitely be back! Our server, Cole, was super helpful and recommended a few awesome beers (the fruit punch sour + pickle beer were our personal favorites!) We happened to come on a Thursday, which was $10 smashburger day and wow were they tasty! Also, highly recommend the Italian wontons - never had anything quite like them before. The fries were also so good, if you like skinny, crispy ones! We sat outside and the music was awesome. We also checked out the lounge downstairs, will be back to hang out down there another time. Overall, would come back and recommend to anyone who loves craft beer, great food and vibes, and excellent service! read more

Came before a game at Wrigley Field. Alex was busy due to pre game crowds but was amazing. Greeted us warmly and had an actual conversation with us. Food was delicious and perfect for a pre-game meal. Will definitely be back. The ambiance is more of an upscale bar vs a dive sports bar. read more

Arrived excited to try this place! The drinks we ordered were delicious and our server was very attentive. However it did take 30+ minutes for our group of 4 to get our food. I understand they were "busy" but other tables were being served even though they arrived after us. That was frustrating When the food did arrive it was cold and one of the breakfast wraps didn't even have egg in it?? The ambiance was cool. Food was pricey. Did not come with sides. read more

Amazing experience!! We stopped in right before the Noah Kahan concert and despite it being busy, our waiter Cole was awesome! Great spot. Came to pass time with my pup on a hot Saturday afternoon. They quickly seated us on the patio (in the shade), and the chilled bottle water service hit the spot. Beers were good. Food was fine. The steak frites wasn't bad, but the lack of anything memorable about it and the questionable freshness of the steak will remind me not to order again on next visit. Stopped in before a Cubs game and this place did not disappoint. The beer was so good -- super fresh and easy to drink. I loved that they had a mix of unique small-batch options and staples. Definitely not your typical bar scene beer list. We also got the ahi tuna nachos and OMG... SO GOOD. The chips were super crispy and held up perfectly under all the toppings. The fish was cold, fresh, and flavorful -- not mushy or bland like you sometimes get. Honestly one of the best bar food dishes I've had in a while.
