Melt in your mouth sashimi.
Amy M.

went to sushi park for the first time. Food was unbelievably delicious and fresh. They ask you if you have any dietary restrictions and then they bring out plates of food with three bites on each plate until you say you are finished. I think the minimum is about seven plates. be prepared to spend $200 a person but it's well worth it if you're looking for delicious fresh sushi. You may not be able to go anywhere else afterwards. Service was very efficient as well. It's a tiny place so you must make reservations. also, we were sitting two tables away from Kendall Jenner, which probably tells you the sushi must be incredible if she chose to go there since she could probably go anywhere she wanted

The amount of food here is insane. It's expensive but the amount of sushi you're given is endless. It keeps coming and coming, it's just nuts! It makes many lists for being the best sushi in LA and it's for good reason. Because the fresh sushi keeps going until you say stop, you get so incredibly stuffed here. I found the sashimi pieces of normal sizes (unlike other reviews) and in the end, everything was so filling - how can you complain? I don't want to ruin the full experience for you, because it truly is an experience, but you can see a few photos I took with this review. We enjoyed our meal here but for us, it was just too much honestly. I would go back if friends wanted to dine here but I'm not skipping and hopping back just yet. I would like to try their to go orders that they are doing during the pandemic though.

Nigiri from Peter's Choice.

I'd seen Sushi Park on various Eater lists of the top sushi spots in LA, but I'd never quite made it there before--probably because it's fairly pricey and not the sort of thing I'd do for a typical sushi night. But Wednesday was my mother's birthday, and so for our celebratory Zoom dinner, I decided to give it a go. I opted for Peter's Choice, which was 8 pieces of nigiri, along with a bento box that included: a salad with albacore, abalone and mushrooms, sea bass, wagyu with asparagus, a piece of eel sushi, deep fried shrimp and scallop with a delicious dipping sauce (it reminded me of the fab aioli from the late great Michelia), and a cut roll that was 4 parts blue crab, 2 parts tuna. On top of that, there were a trio of desserts: cheesecake, agar with pineapple and a tomato marinated in wine. All I can say is wow. One, I love that everything is labeled, so you know exactly what you're eating, and even better, they tell you how to eat each of the nigiri (soy, ponzu or no sauce). Two, it all is beautifully put together--definitely the most inviting takeout I've had during the pandemic. Three--and this is the main part, of course--everything is delicious. Every piece of fish was perfectly tender, and every item in the bento had obviously been assembled with similar care. It's hard to single out any items, because they were uniformly outstanding, though the salad with albacore (melt in your mouth!) and the wagyu were particular highlights. Also, I do need to spend a moment on that closing bite, the tomato marinated in wine. I've never had anything like that, and it was simply extraordinary. As others have said, the nigiri on their own aren't huge in size, but when you put everything together, I felt as if I'd eaten just the right amount of food--as in the amount I should be eating, as opposed to the massive portions served by some places. While obviously this was takeout and my interaction with the restaurant was brief, the woman who helped me when I arrived was very warm and kind. Again, not a cheap night, but for a special meal, completely fair, and at the end, I was left feeling very, very happy.

The price for the quality and what you get is just criminal Not an actual Japanese omakase restaurant. You can get world class trained chef sushi for the same price. I feel so wronged LOVED our server though!

Sushi Park was quite the experience. It featured authentic service and ingredients, some of the best quality fish I've had. The ambiance was humble and cozy, you wouldn't expect the level of food that came out of this place from just looking at it. The food was phenomenal. I am not a huge sushi person but this was enjoyable even if you don't like sushi. The fish melted in your mouth and was prepared perfectly. I got the Omakase, which is what you have to get if you come here. The chef knows what you should eat, and you just gotta trust him. Expect an extremely large bill at the end of the meal, this level of quality doesn't come cheap. There a very few places in all of Los Angeles that will deliver something remotely close to this. I highly recommend trying this if you are a sushi fan. It's a great dinner spot, I wouldn't recommend a party of more than 2.

Sushi Park takeout with a view. One Peter's choice, one Omakase box, and two orders of hand rolls.

We heard a lot of hype about this place and the food did not disappoint, even though we had to do takeout due to Covid. There is a limited selection of takeout boxes and you pick a time to pickup your order. We ordered one of each - a Peter's choice, an Omakase box, and hand rolls to go with it. I loved how there are little printed cards that tell you which piece is which. That was a nice touch! The sushi rice is some of the best I've had. We took our meal back to our hotel and had a socially distanced meal on our balcony with a view of the ocean. What a great meal!

Fish is barely covering rice. Lol.

I am truly a bit dumbfounded as I reflect on my omakase experience at Sushi Park. I wonder, why and how is this place so well regarded? At best, it is average. The only dish I tried that I find to be memorable is the wagyu nigiri, and I think that suggests the mediocre nature of the fish nigiri itself (part and parcel at a sushi restaurant). First, the portions, as has been stated in many reviews, are extremely conservative. To put into perspective, the fish, which often operates as a blanket hugging the rice beneath barely covers the surface of the rice itself. LOL. Second, despite the $175 price tag, the omakase didn't include uni or sweet shrimp which are of the "finer" options on a reputable omakase list. Further, here I realized just how much I dislike the "order until you're full option." This is a good way to trick patrons, as there is not really a "set menu" and you cannot assess what's next. This is, of course, different at comparable omakase spots that do offer a set menu even subject to the fresh catch of the day. For example, when I asked whether uni was coming, the waitress said she didn't know--but if the menu were set, surely she'd have a better idea based on historical practices. Third, for a place so costly, they should do a better job at establishing a better ambiance. It's tiny and just doesn't give you a "feel good" vibe. Verdict: save your money and skip this anticlimactic experience.

Best sushi in LA hands down. No frills just excellent, excellent quality. Been going for almost 10 years now and the quality has never dipped. The Omakase experience brings you on a delicate journey full of elaborate flavors. Bring good company and enjoy the ride ! Photos available but the surprise is really nice too

Service, and food was really not good. Sushi is not fresh at all. 0/10- I truly do not recommend this place.

Best sushi I've had outside Japan, hands down. And I've been to Japan well more than 50 times. They explain each dish very thoroughly.

I would really like to know if this place is Wheelchair accessible? I read in a review online that it’s on the second floor of the strip mall so I’m not sure that I will be able to get inside?

So many selections and specials to choose from - great prices, good portions - everything was delicious! Sashimi combo was so fresh and came with miso soup, salad, and rice. The Japanese breakfast special had several options - Japanese omelet, spinach, fried collar, pickled veggies rice, salad, miso soup, and agedashi tofu. (My sister just got back from Japan and said the Breakfast was authentic and just like how they served it over there.) Everyone was also so friendly - will definitely be back soon! 10 out of 10 for me! Enjoy.

The place was nearly empty, yet service was slow. My 'Rich Man's Roll' tasted fishy, sashimi was bland, and I actually had to ask for salt at a sushi restaurant. Then a waiter placed a dirty napkin directly on my dish while I was eating and accused me of throwing it at him when I removed it. Completely false and unacceptable. What's worse is the manager/owner, who has spent years greeting me with hugs and asking about my son, suddenly couldn't be bothered. She sat at the bar eating, didn't come over, and I had to track her down myself only to be told she'd "check the camera." That's when it clicked the friendly relationship was completely phony. When it actually mattered, there was no accountability or care. Plenty of better sushi spots out there. Don't waste your time or money here.

Food 10/10 Service 10/10…read moreAmbiance 10/10 Walked in here randomly because it was something I had saved for a bit now and I already liked that I didn't have to look for parking on a Sunday 3pm in a busy shopping center. It was busy inside but still got seated without waiting. Insane quality of fish not one single item I ordered had an off taste. The fast that my spicy mayo and ponzu was full when I left goes to show how insanely well they prepared the food sauce wise. Overall great place I will be back to try more things for sure. All this food double the salmon roe and scallop sushi because it was that good I had to go for round 2 but all this for 80$ was insaneeeee!!!!! And of course leave tip lol. For sure coming back!

Reasonable sushi eats in k-town…read more Went for a weekend sushi dinner. Theres some parking in the plaza, as well as street parking if you're lucky. We had an rsvp but wasn't busy when we arrived. Was sat immediately and served water. They have a pretty extensive menu of most things you'd find at a sushi cut roll spot. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!
