Wonderful service and every piece of fish was fresh & delicious! We got their omakase. The experience was amazing! Ambiance is small and cozy. Chef Tomo put different garnish and sauce for each piece so that they complement the fish. Really loved the salmon with black truffle! Uni was great too - from local, Santa Barbara. I loved chatting with the chef and found out he's from Fukuoka! I would love to come back with my family again :)

We are regulars at Sushi:K but tried the chefs omakase for the first time. What a treat! You get such a great variety of sushi and hand rolls, things you might not otherwise try. Every single piece is pristine and fresh. Chef Tomo is a superstar!

Honestly, one of the best sushi experiences I've had in Los Angeles. The sashimi had a perfect texture with abundant flavor that will make you wonder how you've lived without this place. The servers are fantastic and friendly. You can tell they really want you to enjoy your time here. The place has a modern yet cozy vibe. It's not huge giving it a sense of comfort and hometown vibe.

First of all they were very accommodating for squeezing my wife and I in for a late reservation dinner. The place was clean and organized. The whole staff was friendly and very attentive. We ordered omakase at the bar. The price was very reasonable especially in Beverly Hills. Chef Tomo explained each item and took the time to talk to us. The fish was very fresh and the chef creations were simple, yet very tasty and satisfying. Definitely give Sushi K a try as they are a newer sushi spot. We'll definitely support again!

tried the premium set and it came with miso soup, sunomono, 8 pieces of sushi, and a handroll (blue crab or spicy tuna). we also added the toro and the quality of the fish here is really really good. the price is so reasonable too, the set was $46. there's easy nearby street parking and the service was also great. i will definitely be back!!

3-3.5 stars. I was excited to try this new neighborhood spot after seeing all the great reviews but unfortunately my experience fell a bit short. I ordered the 8 piece nigiri set which came out to ~$50 after tax and tip. The sushi itself was pretty solid - the fish was fresh and tasty. However, at that price point I would expect a slightly bigger cut of fish, as both me and my partner walked away feeling a bit hungry. Service was very slow with the amount of people and we waited a while to order and never got water.

Absolutely loved my experience here! I was staying at a hotel nearby and decided to walk the mile. It took to get to sushi K because it had such good reviews on here. So glad I did ! I was by myself, so I sat at the sushi counter, the place has an authentic intimate Japanese feel. The sushi chefs instantly looked like professionals, and clearly knew their craft. I ordered the K premium combo, with eight pieces of nigiri and a hand roll. I was blown away by the Nigiri, they were each made Omakase style, with sauces, garnishing, and small touches for flavor and texture, added into each piece. It was served in waves of four, with the hand roll following. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the fish for the price, my favorite by far was the aburi salmon - the slight charred flavor from being flash torched was incredible. So much so that I ordered another individual two piece serving of it afterward. I also got the Shishido peppers which were delicious and served with a flaky topping that paired well and a Ponzu sauce. The quality for the price was fair, especially given the area. And the staff were so nice and professional. I even accidentally left my credit card there and they stayed behind 10 minutes after closing for me to come pick it up. Really appreciate everything, will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. !

Cute new sushi spot in Beverly Hills. I came here with coworkers and we went for the omakase, which was about $70 if I remember correctly. The quality of the fish was good, but at that price point I can't help but compare it to Sugarfish, which I personally prefer. I also felt like some of the cuts of fish were a bit on the smaller side. We all got the yuzu margarita which had a fun little twist to it with the smoke! And then shared some sake, which our server recommended to us and was delicious. That said, the service was excellent, very attentive and friendly from start to finish. The vibe was great for both a small group and a more intimate catch-up. It wasn't too loud, so conversation flowed easily while we enjoyed the food. Another plus: parking! Even though it's on a busy street, we had no trouble finding parking on a weeknight, which is always a win in Beverly Hills.

We had a lovely birthday dinner there (Omakase x2)! Already have the revisit plan and bring with friends :)

Had the omakase here, 10 pieces of nigiri and a Handroll, plus Miso soup and a seaweed salad for $78. Fantastic quality, value and service. The ambiance is super nice and chill, an absolute gem of a sushi spot. Highly recommend and would come back for sure

I was afraid that everything was going to be extremely heavy, like French cuisine can be with all the cheese and butter. But I ordered the Combo of the Lemon Butter Chicken Ramen and a side of the Miso Teri Bowl (in case the ramen would be too much for me), and I was blown away by both dishes. The Lemon Butter is NOT heavy at all. It felt light and savory, but had a depth of flavor that's hard to identify because this is a dish I have never had anywhere else before. I can see why it's the most popular item on the menu. I took the side of Miso Teri Bowl home for dinner as the ramen was filling enough. There's a hint of wasabi in the dressing they drizzle over the shredded green onions that elevate this dish from other Teriyaki Chicken bowls I've had. Just DELICIOUS. I'd come back to Tonsho just for this rice bowl. My friend got the Dan Dan Ramen which he said blew his mind. He was surprised by the lightness of the broth, which is unlike the Chinese Dan Dan which is usually made of heavy creamy sesame paste. He actually drank most of the broth, and didn't feel like he was cheating on his diet. Additionally, the design of the restaurant, from the layout to the choice of bowls and utensils reminded me of a certain 2-Michelin Star restaurant in Culver City. The service was bar none. The waitress was attentive and thoughtful, even getting us a glass of water after we had been sitting there for another hour after paying our check. We never felt rushed or pushed out. Five stars, period. Coming back for more.

The restaurant isn't crowded on a Thursday evening and I was seated immediately. Original ramen 5/5 has a stronger chicken broth flavor. Lemon butter ramen 4/5 is masked more with the buttery and creamy flavor. So the chicken broth flavor isn't as strong. Miso teri bowl 5/5 has a charcoaled flavor and is favored well by my group. Gyoza 5/5 is okay. You can't go wrong with gyoza. Overall, the ramen this restaurant used is a wheat type, not egg. The ramen noodles have speckles of wheat on them and appear much more clear. My table thought the wheat flavor was too overwhelming while I didn't think so. I definitely like the original ramen more because it has a stronger chicken f

Instead of the traditional nori typically used for handrolls, they served a salted, crispy version. While some diners may enjoy the added texture, it wasn't quite for me. It reminded me of the seasoned seaweed used in Korean kimbap--similar to what I buy at Costco and use at home--which took away from the experience I expect from a classic handroll. The fish itself was fresh and above average, especially considering the lunch special pricing. Overall, it was a solid meal, but if I order this again, I would definitely request traditional nori to better complement the quality of the fish.
