Ajisai provides a perfect dining experience to start the night in WeHo - the Benji roll is not to be missed and neither is their spicy tuna roll - this spot has a higher quality of sushi with fantastic prices and reminds me of our times in Tokyo.

Delicious sushi at decent prices! Enjoyed the Mr. Shoei and Mr. Clinton rolls. Compared to other sushi places, seems like there are less specialty roll selections but more sushi/sashimi options

It's my second time back & I love thier sushi!! I've been getting the Ms.Clinton every time as well as the pork gyoza ! It just hits every time. Highly suggest this place for some good sushi in West Hollywood. The prices are great and not overpriced. Great parking available around as well !!

Super small and cute little restaurant- the staff is very kind and welcoming and give it a family style feel. The pork gyoza is a must and the veggies were tasty as well, we added a dash of soy to give it some additional flavor. The salmon was delicious and a perfect starter. The rolls were so fresh and and filling too- the selection is perfect, although I do wish there were a couple more specialty roll options.

My dear friend who is the mayor of Weho brought me here to celebrate her award for from StoneWall Honors 2024. I just fell in love with the service and the cuteness of this restaurant. The ambiance was cozy and had such a great vibe. Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious. The miso soup was delicious along with all the food down to the green tea ice cream. I will be back again and so glad she showed me this place!

I loved this restaurant! Very quaint and cozy inside and note that it's street parking only so depending on time of night you might need to use the lot right next door. Palm has a few meters but it's permit parking as you go north FYI. I've been presuing the multiple Japanese options along Santa Monica Blvd and I think this spot is my favorite. Prices were fair and service was a bit slow but with only 2 runners, I didn't mind at all because... Their Biscotti is THE best spicy tuna on rice I've had so far in LA. Huge portions of the tuna on a bed of their crispy rice. Must get! Dragon Roll was also great. They do not skimp on the spicy tuna and I adore them for that. Dynamite is a casserole looking dish and I LOVED it as a scallop person. It's basically a lot of scallop and mushrooms cooked in a cream cheese, can't get more decadent than that! Eager to try more of their dishes!!!

I was really excited to try this place, it's walking distance away, and really cute! I wasn't overly impressed with the sushi or sashimi, I felt like it could be better. Not too thrilled by the Mr Trump roll, didn't like that the menu had a political slant, there were other presidents too, but, Trump?!? This is Weho and I don't live here to be reminded that Trump exists when I am eating Sushi. Otherwise, it was a good regular place, nothing special and quite pricey. No miso soup included as complimentary starter, which is pretty standard. Prices were kinda high, I get it...but, I thought $10 for garlic edamame was over the top. Probably won't return, there's other places that are better near by.

Great little place to eat at. The service was really great and the food was delicious if ever in town give it a shot.

Flavorful miso soup perfect for chilly nights. Wine, beer and sake' available.

It's true what they say about the most delicious food being served at 'hole in the wall' restaurants. Ajisai is no exception. I've been enjoying this sushi restaurant nearly every weekend since I moved to Los Angeles three years ago. Every dish is consistently fresh, whether it's sushi, sashimi, rolls, chicken or my favorites, Dynamite & Korean BBQ Ribs. The service is also consistent in being warm & welcoming, knowledgeable and best of all, quick & efficient. The ambiance? Cozy and somewhat loud with happy diners chatting or laughing. So stop on in and experience this West Hollywood Japanese local favorite for yourself. Reservations are highly recommended.

    Mr. Clinton Specialty Roll...yummy.

Love this adorable, classic sushi restaurant. It's right on Palm across the street from Santa Palm Car Wash. Inside it feels a bit like Little Tokyo because it's very cozy and looks like an authentic Japanese sushi place with bamboo frames, yellow walls and some Japanese decorations. Nothing flashy here, and it's really charming. The rolls are fantastic. I love the names of the rolls... the Bill Clinton roll is my favorite. Great bottomless iced green tea. Be sure to make a reservation because they don't have many tables inside and they get booked up. Was lucky and just walked in today when it was not busy. My favorite seat is the table for two by the window. Great place for a date! There's metered parking on the street, or try the paid lot just to the west or one of the West Hollywood parking structures...one is a 5 minute walk east.

It's a friendly neighborhood sushi place in WeHo, not fancy just a small place with small outdoor seating and couple seats inside. The service is a little slow but good, I came at the busy time so it took a while for the food to arrive: The menu is quite affordable, and the fish is good quality and the pieces are big. The spicy tuna on crispy rice is good and interesting, never had it in any other sushi place. The sushi comes in two pieces per order and the fish cut is pretty generous, and each piece taste very fresh. The trump roll is delicious, highly recommended.

The place was nearly empty, yet service was slow. My 'Rich Man's Roll' tasted fishy, sashimi was bland, and I actually had to ask for salt at a sushi restaurant. Then a waiter placed a dirty napkin directly on my dish while I was eating and accused me of throwing it at him when I removed it. Completely false and unacceptable. What's worse is the manager/owner, who has spent years greeting me with hugs and asking about my son, suddenly couldn't be bothered. She sat at the bar eating, didn't come over, and I had to track her down myself only to be told she'd "check the camera." That's when it clicked the friendly relationship was completely phony. When it actually mattered, there was no accountability or care. Plenty of better sushi spots out there. Don't waste your time or money here.

While the sushi is good…read more- it's a decent sushi spot - chances are you, like us, will be the only people in the place. I was wondering how they stay in business. Well, since I eat out nearly every night, I know exactly when my bill feels a little too high. I paid it anyway thinking maybe I'm adding it up wrong and I also added the tip. I either hit the 20% or the 22% I can't remember but bare minimum I hit 20% cause that's the lowest I ever go thinking, hey something's off here. We'll come back to that. Your bill is presented on a Squareup POS machine but the screen only shows you the total. I had it email me an itemized receipt because the total seemed just a little high. Once we walked out of the restaurant, I waited and waited and waited. It took TWO hours for the receipt to show up in my inbox. Once you open the email, it still won't show you an itemized receipt because it says it's processing it. It is working to build you an itemized receipt to be viewable. I kept going back to the email over and over again throughout the day trying to get it to show me the receipt. It took until the next morning for the itemized receipt to finally show up and there it was just like I suspected a 16% "Azai fee" had been added onto the bill. It doesn't stop there. They TAX you on your total PLUS their fee! They're taxing you on the fee THEY added. Now if you want to add in your own gratuity for the server, absolutely fine, all day long, but you have to say that, show that, and print that. The fact that it is an "Azai fee" and not listed as a gratuity makes it shady like the owner is just pocketing this. Also if you look at the photo, it's not even calculating the tip percentage correctly. 20% minimum of that total should have been $21 and change. The two stars are for the woman who made our sushi. Won't be back.

We had an rsvp but wasn't busy when we arrived. Was sat immediately and served water. They have a pretty extensive menu of most things you'd find at a sushi cut roll spot. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!
