Excellent sushi spot located in the heart of West Hollywood. Their menu had practically every single roll combo you could think of. There is certainly something for everyone here. Service was great, and the food came out quick. All of the sushi was great. I can highly recommend the wagyu roll, as well as the seared salmon roll. Parking is available in their lot, adjacent to the restaurant.

We came in on a Friday night around 9pm, the place was pretty full but we were seated within a few minutes. We waited close to 10 minutes before anyone greeted us, brought us menus or took our drink order. They finally came and literally threw the menus on the table and walked away. We placed our sushi order and it came out within 15 minutes. Not sure if the chef is that good or if it's pre made. The sushi was good. Service was awful and rushed!

Good quality fish, cozy atmosphere, good selection for the non-foodie type and for the sushi lovers! I saw a lot of people on dates, catching up with friends, etc. It's a casual spot that has a really good vibe to it! I am now obsessed with two things here: -The jumbo bay scallop nigiri - LOVED they added a touch of wasabi, and the texture was perfect. -Salmon belly nigiri - they cut it perfectly, not too thick to feel too fatty in your mouth but not too thin either! Ocean Sushi, thank you for the friendly service!

HAPPY HOUR EVERY DAY 12-6 and AGAIN FROM 8-9!! Incredible! I had a blast here! Everything was awesome: the fish, service, parking, happy hour, and prices! I'm so glad this place hasn't blown up on social media yet but I am worried that it'll happen soon!! Casual and unassuming, this small sushi spot was empty when I arrived at the tail end of happy hour #1 on a Friday night! The lack of people got me questioning my decision to come. Why no people if the happy hour deals were this good? I got my order in as happy hour was ending and that's when all the other customers started arriving. We ended up having too much fun and staying for happy hour #2 at 8 pm! That's when the place got busy! Started with a large hot sake ($9) to share. It was smooth and easy to drink. Then came the food: Salmon belly nigiri ($6 2pcs) -- buttery, smooth, delicious. Even though the rice to fish ratio was a little high, I was considering getting another. So yummy. Salmon collar/yama ($8) -- big cooked hunk of the fattiest and most tender part of the salmon. This one was nice and simple: just salt and pepper on top. It was also great with a side of teriyaki sauce! So pro tip: ask for teriyaki sauce. Spicy tuna crispy rice ($8 5pcs) -- wonderful textures and flavors. Exactly what I want! The pieces were quite large compared to other more expensive restaurants. Angry tiger roll ($12.99 happy hour price) -- crab, avocado, cucumber with salmon and eel on top. Eel sauce and spicy mayo. I liked all the things in this roll but it was too saucy for me. Next time I would get lite sauce. Super Albacore roll ($12.99 HH price) -- my friend had this and enjoyed it. The rolls came covered in a mountain of crispy onions that kept falling off! They were yummy. Rainbow roll ($12.99 HH price) -- my friend had this and had no complaints. California roll with an assortment of fish on top. We certainly ordered too much and couldn't finish it all! Overall, I had an awesome time and I'll definitely come back. **Parking is easy and free behind the restaurant in the shared lot!

Ocean Sushi is one of my favorite sushi spots in WeHo! The sushi is fresh, the prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Great value, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Great sushi spot in the heart of WeHo. Very nice staff and friendly service. Inside the restaurant is small but nicely decorated and very clean. I ordered the super Philadelphia roll, which meant it had salmon in the outside. $15.99 for a fairly large roll with plenty of fresh fish. Parking is metered and available nearby.

    Jalapeno Poppers... was very good!

Food was great! Very fresh!!! Was here for happy hour! Everything was awesome! Service was great, made in before the rush! Parking can be tough, but if you're patient you will find some! Will def be back when in the area!

Randomly stumbled upon Ocean Sushi. What a great experience. The customer service was amazing. The fish was so fresh. They also offered a happy hour. I love finding a great hole in the wall like this place, check it out.

Easy happy hour with tasty food and attentive service. We were the only ones as we were a bit early for dinner. Easy space to eat and catch up with friends.

I fell in love with their Malibu roll here. We live in Colorado and had a quick trip into town and stopped in here for dinner. I think about this roll all the time now. It hit just right. All protein and all flavor. Everything else was also great but that Malibu roll was just 12/10. Service was also great too!

Great prices, nicely executed rolls and pretty fast service! Definitely keep in mind the happy hour special that starts at 8 and ends at 9 pm to save even more money on your sushi order! I did not have a chance to try their nigiri menu but it also looked very extensive with many high quality selections that are not often found at other similar sushi restaurants. Would strongly recommend this to casual sushi lovers in LA that are not looking to break the bank on some 3-Michelin-star omakase!

When did this place open - 2023?

I believe a couple years ago. It was Hikari sushi before Ocean. Sushi. It's always been a sushi restaurant in the past, but they all never seem to thrive.

They're very busy at all hours and you can tell the workers have a lot on their plates. The food itself is that of a common diner yet the prices are very elevated in comparison. Due to the fact that it is opened late, I justify the pricing here. However, do not expect AMAZING food. This is your typical diner with typical all American cuisine. Ample seating. Great theme. Was hesitant to come by on Sunday morning around 10a after a Hollywood Reservoir run because our group of 8 didn't want to wait. Showed up anyways and so glad we did. Only waited about 10 mins before we were offered two booths that seat 4. I ordered a drip coffee ($4.25) and lox bagel ($17). The drip coffee was decent, not my favorite but got the job done and they were good about refills. The lox bagel was light, easy on the cream cheese, and had the toppings that make a lox just right. Our server was extremely attentive even through the busyness. My only qualm was the 20% large party charge on our bill despite us splitting our group, sitting on different tables, and getting two separate checks. There's also a 4% additional tax "Kitchen Appreciation" which caught us off guard. Gotta love LA. Loved the diner minus the uncalled for additional charges.
