The whole kitchen staff came out with brooms and everything to catch this mouse. After the staff catched the mouse, they still felt the need to charge us full price! This is my favorite go-to sushi spot! I love the concept of unlimited sushi for only $22, along with other things on the menu. I love that the sushi is not just sitting out for everyone to choose from - you have to order off the menu for the chefs to create your rolls! The "spicy" seaweed salad also isn't very spicy, and just has a ton of tempura flakes in it. I've been to other Sushi Palace locations plenty of times before and depending on the crowd size, service can be fast or slow, respectively. I came to this location on an early Saturday afternoon with 2 other friends. Since it was fairly empty, service and food preparation were super quick. The servers were all very attentive and refilled our teas often. I'm not sure if time of day would matter but I felt that since we went earlier in the day, the sushi tasted more fresh. The salmon sashimi pieces were much larger here than other locations that I've been to. I've also gone to other locations at night with a larger crowd so sometimes I felt their prep was faster to try to accommodate the amount of orders coming through and would fall apart a little easier. I do wish their spicy seaweed salad was spicier. I didn't taste much spice. However, I do love the addition of appetizers and dessert to the all-you-can-eat price. But overall, I always enjoy Sushi Palace and for all you can eat sushi for one price when sushi can get super expensive, it's always a great deal. read more

CAUTION: restaurant is simply dirty! The sushi is decent-enough quality (considering it's all-you-can-eat), but the actual fish portions in the rolls are ridiculously small. Not a major problem, or surprise, but you fill up on the rice portions quickly. The sashimi/sushi is a better value and size, but the salmon had a strong fishy smell. The most concerning part is the amount of dust and grime all over the floors of the restaurant. This is a fun place to come with a large group of friends, but I strongly urge the owners to take its cleanliness more seriously. The wait wasn't terrible... to be seated. My girlfriend and I sat down and we were approached by our waitress. She took our drink orders and we started to select what we wanted for the all you can eat sushi. While we were placing our order, I couldn't help but see that there was a workers child sitting at the table. Not for nothing, I understand. Sometimes we can get baby sitters. Very fortunate to bring your child to work, however I seen the child walking through the dining floor and back towards the kitchen multiple times. Very unprofessional. The menu is really varied - sashimi, udon, tempura, salad, soup, sushi rolls, etc. But I have to say what surprised me the most was the salmon sashimi. I've never had salmon that was so pink and fresh before. We ordered 20 pieces of salmon and that went quickly! The yummy roll and Edison roll were also a few other favorites. Then we also tried the seafood udon which was pretty good, but not my favorite of the meal. All of the plates came out very quickly and the servers were attentive and friendly. Of course finished with some dessert, which was the only area that was the only limited part of the menu. Vanilla, choc, green tea and taro ice cream. With so many places in the area, probably would go else where for dessert, but since it was included it was hard to pass up. Don't be deceived by the entrance. Never go on a weekend night. They do not honor reservations. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated, we sat at the table for 45 minutes before they even brought water! Then they either lost our order or delivered it to another table. By the time we got ANY food, we had been sitting for 1 hour and 15 minutes! To start... I have never written a bad review about anywhere. I am a waitress myself, and I never want to hate on businesses. I am astonished at my experience here. I frequently go here because I enjoy the food. The service is consistently bad but I still go because I love sushi. To be honest, I come here more than once a week. Today, I went in today as normal. Me and my friends often go and we only order 1-2 plates. We probably don't even spend the full 25$ worth of food. The waitresses always forget things and we always have to ask for waters and papers. I don't feel like I am a rude customer because I don't ask for things much, just water when glasses are empty. The waitresses were as usual rude but we brushed it off as it is normal. When we were eating, our waitress brought us the check when we weren't done. I thought this was especially rude. I was more upset than usual today because they forgot 3 of our items and never filled our water. More careless than usual. We paid, didn't order more except ice cream and left a decent tip. As we were leaving, the waitress stopped us and said our tip wasn't enough and that we had to leave at least 15%. We left around 10%. I always tip well because as I said I am a waitress but this time I was upset because of the rude treatment and left a little less. I was astonished that they would stop me as I was leaving and beg for more money. It is illegal to ask for anyone to leave a tip alone, but ridiculous that they would force us to leave more. After I questioned it, the waitress turned to another worker and spoke to her in a language that I don't understand. I don't know what she said but it was in a rude tone and i'm guessing she spoke bad about me. I had to stand at the exit and use a calculator to calculate the correct tip for her. I am beyond upset and will never return. After countless rude visits this is the rudest service I have ever received ANYWHERE. I should call the cops on them because it is LITERALLY ILLEGAL to ask for that. Anyways, I will never return and I hope management sees this. My brother and I went here for the AYCE menu. The spicy seaweed salad was pretty yummy and their fried foods like gyoza was pretty good. Some of their tempura and the lumpia felt underdone especially since the dough on the inside was still mushy... The sushi... was ok. It wasn't awful, but it also wasn't good. There wasn't anything special about it, really. Like, it did taste like sushi and I did eat it. However, all of the different kinds we got tasted the same. There wasn't anything distinguishing one from the other. All of them tasted like I was eating spicy tuna without the spice, even the cooked tempura rolls tasted like that. The rolls also looked pretty unprofessional. They put too much rice in the rolls and not enough fish. They were not well formed and the flavors were bland. I don't think I would come back again. A tremendous sampling of quality sushi in a niche format. The four words "All You Can Eat" typically illicit excitement in frat boys and trepidation in those seeking a reasonable dining experience. As I yearn for the years in which I was the former and now represent the latter, Sushi Palace offers both in a format that satiates all patrons. Sure, the sushi snob that expects Nobu may disappointed but this is a step up from Ashiya (NYC peeps understand). My wife, one year old daughter, and I enjoyed a terrific meal at Sushi Palace last night, the second night in which this location was open. This particular space had always been plagued by being a bit hidden as a below-ground location but the restaurant itself had a bright vibe about it and an open concept centered upon the sushi bar. We opened up with a seaweed salad (blasphemy to a seasoned AYCE pardon such as myself but the wife does what the wife wants) and sweet potatoe pancake, which were both tasty. What came next I can only explain as a minefield of taste delights. I won't bore you with details of each roll, their names, ingredients, etc..which all seem to bleed together and involve the same iterations of each.. All I know is that the fish was fresh, delicious, and well portioned. I probably ordered 40-50 pieces in total (rolls obviously come in increments of 4-6) and the quality was consistent throughout. Again, don't expect Morimoto but it is/was damned good. In addition, the service could not have been kinder. Sure, it's easy to keep a smile on the second night but when my one year old is dropping chopsticks across the floor and you're continuously offering replacements while conversing with her....well, we certainly appreciate the effort. For Such tasty date night with the wife that ended up at $50, not including wine...I feel as if we won the weekend. For as much as I love many of the neighboring restaurants, there is space for Roots and a space for Sushi Palace within my pantheon. I'm born, raised, and now proud enough to have purchased a home in Summit and I am very excited to welcome Sushi Palace to the roster of restaurants. The roll i would recommend is the edison roll (came out warm because of the deep fried inside). The green tea icecream was good- perfect texture for 25 bucks (for dinner) better come hungry! It was the wrong decision. The quality of the fish, presentation, and service were all sub par. It doesn't even hold a candle to the other sushi restaurants in the area. Quality sushi should not have a fishy taste or smell, and the sushi we were given were definitely not of quality. I guess you get what you pay for when you go to an all you can eat place. I have been to several of the Sushi Palace restaurants. This by far was the worst. The service was horrible and the waitresses were worse. They did not bring us the requested food each time. They never apologized for the mistake and never corrected the problem. They Did not remove any of the plates off the table -- they waited until they were piled up high.
