Enjoyed sushi on a weekend date night! Such a good experience, easy walk in no reservation. The sushi was great we even got the boat for our 4 rolls! I unfortunately got major food poisoning from the sushi. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to end up seriously ill. I ordered around 9:00-9:30 p.m., and by 11:30 p.m.-12:00 a.m. I had a fever and was extremely sick. The fish quality was noticeably poor. I can't even keep water down right now. read more

I almost don't want to review this because if they get too popular it will be impossible to go and then I won't get my Nini fix. The Nini Roll, the Rock N Roll ...roll (?) and pretty much every other roll we have tried are amazing. I am a cucumber hater. I judge sushi restaurants when every roll has cucumber. Can confirm: this place is safe for any that, like me, feel a cucumber taints everything around it. A great menu balance so I don't feel like 'that' person asking for sushi with 'no insert-anything-here'. Plus they have sports balls tvs for the other half. read more

First time back since they opened up and it's better than how I remembered. The sushi was pretty and still fresh even at a 9:20 pm. The cherry blossom was not only pretty, but worth remembering. I will definitely order that one again next time. Words go that there is this phenomenal chef from downtown joined them and hope that helps with delivering an even better sushi quality for the future. Been wanting to try this place for a while and managed to stop in here for lunch. Absolutely glad I did found the atmosphere extremely laid-back and the service was on point.. it has the feel of a sports bar, but the ambience of a quiet chill sushi joint. The only thing better was my server was extremely attentive and the food here was really delicious. This is probably some of the best sushi I've ever had. This place clearly is very popular as they always have a full house. The food is some of my favorite sushi, you can truly taste how fresh it is. We went to Sushi Nini for dinner yesterday and had a really good time. Our server, Dan was very kind and helpful in helping us pick what rolls to try. It has been a while since we've been here. The music was fun and the food was delicious. We tried the Niniviche- it had salmon, avocado, mango, cucumber, shrimp, octopus, and a white fish. Perfectly refreshing for the summer heat. The double tuna roll has such a delicious sauce on it. I am a huge fan of tuna and this had the perfect amount. The blue moonlight roll was so good! I kind for wish it had eel sauce on it. My husband and I were craving sushi last night and found this place just down the road from us! It was absolutely amazing! We also got the spring rolls and a bento box. The bento box was huge and delicious and the sushi was spot on. The spring rolls and dumplings don't even need the sauce they come with they are so good. Service was above board. My husband and I are life long service industry people and our server was great! He handled all the questions my son threw at him with such grace and loved that our little one is willing to try just about anything. The restaurant is very cute and quaint. This place is BIG & they have tvs every angle! Which was such a nice surprise We were greeted right away and seated right away. Service was great from the very start! We already have a sushi place we love to go to in round rock but decided to venture off and I'm so glad we did because everything we had here was delicious!! Finally a decent sushi spot in atx!!! At least for rolls. There was a bit of a wait when we got here on a friday night but the food was worth the wait. Our waiter was super friendly and we ordered a miso soup, spicy edamame (which actually does have a bit of heat to it) the nini roll and the double tuna roll. The nini roll blew me away- the tempura asparagus inside with the meat and the sushi w the cilantro sauce was just incredible. The nigiris here we got amaebi and salmon and they were alright (but decent for austin standards bc its hard to find fresh fish here). It does get pretty packed here though and busy, so recommend coming here early read more

Great spot for lunch: a variety for lunch specials and quick service. I got the Blue Midnight roll special, with miso soup and gyoza, and my husband got the Rock n Roll roll special with miso soup and tempura veggies. Both appetizers were fresh, hot, and crispy, and sized just right for the two of us to share. The miso soup grew on me--it was a bit funky at first, so took me a few sips to get used to the taste. Both rolls were delicious with a variety of flavors and textures. They were marked on the menu as spicy but it was a mild level of heat, enough to be interesting but very tolerable. We love to come here during their happy hour and enjoy their happy hour specials. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic I don't believe they are opened for dine in service since it looked blocked off. Not sure why I'm barely discovering this place! I tried this place without having high expectations... turns out to be pretty good! For appetizers I ordered Mount Fuji, Baby octopus, and Fried Ika Geso. I would order these again. If you're a big fan of squid tentacles and baby octopus (sweet and savory), you should definitely order it. Spider roll and the fatty salmon were so freaking good... fatty salmon was so soft. My least favorite were the Spicy scallop sushi and Insane roll. I love scallop and we're disappointed with the insane roll. It barely have any scallops inside. They packed it with red peppers and avocado... felt like I was cheated! Would not recommend this roll. I wanted to order more but hubby was on a diet so it was just me eating lol... will come back to try more items! read more

Came back after the renovations and it's just as good as before, if not better! The layout of the inside changed for the better, it feels super cozy. We had the Imperial, Smoke Stack, and Dynamite rolls - each one of them a 10/10. I like sweet, tropical drinks, so I went with the Blue Nini and loved it! Our waitress was super fun and sweet, the energy was very appreciated! I'm horrible with names but she had bright red hair, and made the night that much more enjoyable. Sushi NiNi is a solid sushi restaurant if you're looking for quality and reasonable prices in the midst of inflation. read more

That was frustrating and sad because we would go every Tuesday if we could order less, 10 is way too much for all 3 of us and all 3 like different flavors so sharing won't work either.
