Belt sushi $3.25 a plate
Frances L.

They have all day one plate menu prices, no watching for colored plates and seperate amounts which I LOVE! The sushi is fresh they cook and prepare right in front of you. They have some unique items of sushi, sashimi, and noodle dishes. 5 of us were easily seated around noon on a Monday with no wait time. The conveyour is frequently stocked with everything from just made sushi plates to dessert and fresh fruit. The decor is a little dated, but with prices these days who can afford to renovate right? ;) We will be back great lunch and early dinner option in EastCouve.

Love potato croquettes.

My expectations are low for conveyor belt sushi, but this one is better than most. I was pleasantly surprised that potato croquets were one of the choices: yum. Also enjoyed the roll with the green pepper base. I did pass on a few items as they looked dated, but a few other cut rolls I tried were more than satisfactory. And a good beer selection too.

This is a great location to try a variety of sushi and everyone can pick whatever they like. This is a great spot to bring someone for a date or even for family. All of their sushi plates are the same price, and they also make hand rolls to order. There is ramen and udon too.

Not so yummy sushi

Well it's been before Covid when I was here. I have been going here for sushi for 20 years. I see new owners taking over all the time. You can always tell by the new sushi rice machine. Lol The place was semi crowded for a Wednesday evening around 6pm. I tried their sushi and there was really no taste to it. The portions are super small too. The wasabi is not hot at all and their green tea tastes like water. I ordered a spicy tuna hand roll and there was not spicy sauce on it. It's costs $6.00. The prices are pretty high too. All the sushi plates there costs $2.95 each for just 3 bites of sushi. Plus, the sushi looked and tasted stale. At least the spider roll I got was kind of yucky. I mean the crab was kind of spongy. I had to put two large tablespoons of wasabi in my small soy sauce dish and still it was not spicy hot at all. Overall, please save your money and go some place else like the Longhouse at ilani.

My favorite sushi place in Vancouver. Been going here for 2 decades. Since I was a kid with my family, I'm now 34. I remember when they had $1 plates, $1.50 plates + now every plate is $2.95, not complaining. But if you have a family of 4 - 6, plan on paying $100+ ....Between the two of us, our bill is usually $40 - $50. Staff is quick, fast, and friendly. I will be a forever customer. The only suggestion I have for them, is to remodel their bathrooms. The bathrooms smell good, but it's dingy and in need of an upgrade. They make a ton of $$$$ charging $2.95 per plate now, so hopefully they renovate the bathrooms soon. Other than that, love this place

This place is disgusting. they don't clean it properly and every time when someone leaves all they do is wipe the table down with a wet rag. it smells really bad in there too like your walking by a dumpster. The owner comes to work with a 200,000 dollar car but can't even run his restaurant like a normal person. letters on the walls are falling down this whole place literally needs a remodel. i really hope the owner can read this not only that but the plates are now. $2.75 a plate

Terrible food. Sushi choices consist mostly of imitation crab. Gyoza is covered in tempura. Dirty restaurant. Avoid.

The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars, is that we've had better spider rolls and salmon at other local Japanese restaurants. What really stood out was the bento box selections. I should have selected teriyaki beef instead of the salmon. The salmon was overcooked. Hard, and not very tasty. The salad dressing had no taste either. I am accustomed to delicious ginger dressing for salads at Japanese restaurants. The tempura was delicious. My husband said that he's had better spider rolls elsewhere. To be fair, we've lived in areas that have superb Japanese food (Hawaii, Guam, and the Bay Area in California). And my husband has traveled to mainland Japan and Okinawa. He's a military veteran, and so is my dad, so we've lived in several states, and overseas. Sooooo... for Southwest Washington, Oishi Sushi is definitely worth trying, for lunch or dinner. CHEERS!

Of course we ordered the blooming onion -- it was very greasy, which is somewhat expected with that dish, but this was a bit over the top. We also tried the clam chowder. Our server mentioned it was thick, which it was, but unfortunately it didn't have much flavor. I didn't even end up finishing my cup. The side salad was pretty underwhelming and seemed like it came straight from a bag. We also ordered coconut shrimp along with a few cocktails. Service was probably the most frustrating part of the visit. After placing a drink order, we could see the drinks sitting at the bar for quite a while, but our server was nowhere to be found and no one else stepped in to bring them over. On a positive note, the restaurant itself is large and seemed fairly clean. That said, with so many better dining options around, I probably won't be coming back anytime soon

I watch for specials in the local paper, but really I come here whether there's a coupon or not just because the food is really good. There's lots of space in the booth and plenty of time to stretch out and relax. The best part is the smile on everybody's face is when we're done. It's well worth the time to come Here.

I get annoyed shopping at stores with my mobility issues because the aisles are small for the motorized cart and other shoppers but then stores add tons of displays in the middle of the aisles. I appreciate that Safeway does not have people further blocking by stocking everything at once like many stores do. So it was far easier to get around the store. Top notch produce also!
