The plaza has other restaurants and shops but when we got here around 1330-1400 it wasn't super busy or packed. AMBIANCE: Clean and open. They've got booths as well seating right against the conveyor belt. Nothing SUPER traditionally Japanese but still pleasant and we don't feel cramped. You can see them making the sushi in the middle of the conveyor belt. SERVICE: The hostess and server were one in the same during our visit and she was super attentive. Asked us right when we sat down if we'd like wasabi or ginger, took our drink order. She was helping out around the restaurant doing all kinds of tasks so we appreciate the consistent attentiveness despite how busy she was. FOOD: We tried a number of rolls. I'm a salmon fan so I went for all their salmon options which were all fresh and sushi was cold which is a huge thing for us since some places have their fish out so long it gets warm. They had peppered seared tuna which we don't often see that tasted pretty good! There are some fried options as well including takoyaki which was not bad either and I got it fresh so it was still hot. They also have a menu from which you can order which has a number of options. We love good conveyor sushi and usually this place is our top pick, it's just usually fresher and bigger than other places, but today, and recently, some of plates that used to have four rolls have three now, the rainbow rolls didn't look as vibrant in color. The taste was just flat, not bad, but different, it wasn't up to the usual Sushi Tsunami standards, and hasn't been the last few times. I have a feeling they have changed hands. It was a Tsunami of mediocrity. Plus side was the service was still good and the amount of rolls on the conveyor was plentiful. Handicapped parking was great and the servers offered to let us sit where ever we wanted so I would be comfortable. Props for that. My Japanese wife ordered chasu ramen, and maki sushi ($6! Cheap). The sushi rice was cooked perfectly and the right amount, and the salmon was fresh. My wife said the ramen was perfect! High praise from a native Japanese woman. It wasnt heavy, and had a good smoky flavor. We ordered karage, pan fried gyoza, ebi tempura, deep fried gyoza to share. I asked if the ebi tempura was frozen, and the waiter informed me it was. What I really wanted to know if the tempura was freshly battered. I didn't mind frozen shrimp. He informed me that it was freshly hand battered, and the temporary was really really good! Unfortunately, they didn't have tempura sauce, but we made do with the spicy mayo and gyoza sauce. (although I didn't use the spicy mayo sauce on the tempura.) The pan fried Gyoza were really delicious! Right out of meat, pan fried for the right amount of time with lots of flavor. The deep-fried Gyoza were also really delicious! I've never had deep-fried Gyoza before, and they definitely had a different taste than the pan fried Gyoza. I definitely prefer steamed or pan fried Gyoza, but that's just a personal preference, but I still thought the deep fried Gyoza were really delicious. The karage... unfortunately wasn't impressed. It looked overcooked and very dark. And my second bite, had pink meat in it. Although the waiter never checked on us during our service, afterwards, I pointed out I was pretty dissatisfied with the karage and he removed it from the Bill. The waiter was friendly, and the food came out in a pretty perfect amount of time like it was actually being prepared, and not just thrown in a microwave. We will definitely be going back as this was a nice find on our first visit based on the reviews we found in yelp. The only bad review on yelp is from a vegan... (Yeah... It's Japanese...
