Crunch Crab Roll
Lynn N.

Super friendly staff and relatively fresh fish. Place was spacious and the server was very attentive. Volcano roll was not memorable but the seaweed salad was the best I've ever had, not slimy at all and had a firm texture. Sashimi was cut thick and short but still tasted good, can't complain being sushi in Texas. The salmon nigiri and spicy tuna roll were also good. Would come back to satisfy my sushi cravings!

Found this place by accident while deciding if I wanted pasta next door or Thai. Glad I decided to walk in and give them a try! Sushi was fresh and affordable. It's an upgraded version of grocery store sushi for me. Owner was super friendly and while we were chit chatting my rolls were done! I'm excited that they have party trays for the holidays starting at I think $35! This will be my sushi Togo spot for all the upcoming festivities!

I stumbled across this little neighborhood sushi spot, and after reading the reviews I just had to try it. The owner/sushi chef was very friendly and knowledgeable - he walked me through his menu and offered suggestions. The first thing I noticed when I walked in - I didn't smell any fish (which is pleasantly unusual for a sushi restaurant). I ordered the Ahi Tower, the Elvis roll, masago nigiri & ebi nigiri. The seafood is all incredibly fresh! Even as a to go order, the fish was at the correct/perfect temperature. The portion size was incredibly generous for the price of each item. I was actually surprised at the size of each item - an absolute amazing value! They do not have a liquor license, so no saki/alcohol service, but that's not a deal breaker for me. The chef suggested I try the Hot Mama and Wonder Woman rolls next time (they both sounded delicious). They have a small, but well-rounded menu of appetizers, bowls, sushi, and rolls. An absolute hidden gem in the HEB! Please go and try this sushi restaurant - you won't be disappointed :).

Employee was super nice and helpful. Asked us questions on what we were looking for and pointed out the most delicious rolls. It is BYOB I wasn't aware of that. Liqour store across the street has sake! Grab a bottle and come check this place out. Delicious!

Avocado Rolls, Cucumber Roll, & Veggie Roll

So, I had heard of Sushi Go previously by the fact I had seen one next to a bakery in Arlington we like to go too for their sales. Though usually when we are going to that bakery we are hitting it up closer to 10, which is before that Sushi go opens. When we saw this location open I decided to give it a shot with my youngest when my oldest was at nearby art day-camp. Service was outstanding, 5 stars! We ordered 3 kinds of sushi to split along with a Miso soup that my kid wanted to try. Everything seemed fresh and came out in a reasonable time. Thought the way they roll their cucumber rolls was a bit different than what my kid was used too, and each piece seemed bigger. When we sat to eat most of the orders seemed to be take out. So, really this place is a better quick service sushi option ... possibly not one where its a destination sushi place. We've been able to go grab some avacado rolls for my youngest on a few occasions when we've done birth day meals at someone's house where we know they are serving something he wont eat! For sure go to check them out!

I'm new to sushi but was looking for a good spot to try so I looked at a few reviews and came across Sushi Go. I was not disappointed at all, I even refer my sister here and she loves it too. The first time I came her was a Thursday 6/8 and got a Philadelphia roil, crunch roll, Dragon roll and a shrimp Tempura roll. They were all very delicious but the crunch roll was my wife and I'd favorite. So of course when I went back today 6/12, that's what I got. Still exceeded the expectations. The owners was there and seemed like a really nice guy, he try to tell me I would be back and he wasn't wrong! Really good cool spot. I'll be back again, for sure.

First time trying this place based on so many good reviews. Mostly good - the order was incorrect, tho. Placed an online take-out order on their Yelp featured website, that uses GrubHub as their delivery service. I live pretty close to the business, so I opted to pick up my order. Ordered Crunch Roll and Shrimp Tempura (5). Went to the shop and two bags sitting on the counter, stated my name, and received one bag that Mr. Man seemed to believe was mine, but had no receipt nor tag on the bag. Got home, had two rolls; One was the Crunch Roll - the other I think might have been a Shrimp Tempura Roll. Double-checked my order - and yes, yes I did order the shrimp tempura, NOT the STR. Both rolls were okay.

Dynamite Roll.

I didn't expect to run into this place. Let alone expect to have one of my favorite dining experiences in a while. I parked my car and noticed the restaurant was empty? Granted I went in an hour before close. Regardless the owner greeted me, happy to see me enter his restaurant. I took a look at the menu on the wall that didn't have prices. I failed to realize the menus on the counter and tables had prices. Regardless, you get what you pay for so price didn't bother me. I ordered the dynamite roll and an extra roll that I can't remember the name of. I noticed they had Japanese sodas in the fridge and I decided to go all out and experience a taste of authenticity. Since I was the only one my order was prepared and delivered in less then 3-4 minutes. Presentation wise, the food looked delicious, fresh, and good to look at while being delivered in what looked like a boat. Even though it was a sushi restaurant, the music included hits from The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, J. Cole and other popular artist. I was eating great food vibing out to the tunes. The owner and I began making conversation; thanks thang. There's nothing better then great food made by a great person. You can tell he loved his job. I appreciated learning about his background and what brought him to texas. Sometimes it feels like people are caught up in their own world and forget to just ask others how they are doing. My presence was definitely appreciated by thang. Just two strangers bonding over the love for the creation and consumption of sushi. Thang was very attentive and inviting. If you go make sure to have a conversation, it'll make your dining experience a lot better. The dynamite roll had so much spicy crab on top that I had to eat it first and then eat the sushi. It didn't take away from the experience as it was very delicious. Next time I'll probably only order the dynamite roll because it was a lot of food. Even though I was the only person there that night, the experience was worth the price. Great food, great music, great person. Im definitely going again soon. Source: "trust me bro"

Very welcoming. Clean. Fair pricing and quality sushi. I really enjoy their poke bowl and baked California roll. Wish they had seafood dynamite.

I sat down with my wife and son in this nicely furnished and clean restaurant. It was empty but there were quite a few to-go orders that were picked up. The rolls were beautifully assembled, fresh and very tasty! Gotta say, some of the best I've ever had. The employee/chef was very nice and attentive. Amazing how quickly it was made. They offer bottled drinks but don't expect fountain drinks. My wife and son had already eaten there and they couldn't wait to take me, and I'm glad they did. Delicious!

Found out about this place on TikTok (shoutout to Sam's POV) ever since moving to DFW. I finally…read moregot the chance to come for a lunch with friends. The interior of the restaurant is very anime-esque. You order at the counter once you're ready. I got the Tori-Mayu. My friend (thanks Andy!) got us apps - takoyaki and karage. Both were excellent! I made the classic mistake, as usual, of eating the takoyaki while it was still pretty hot. Despite the burns to the inside of my mouth, it was definitely worth it. The karage was was absolutely delicious as well. Perfect amount of crunch with moist chicken on the inside. Pairs very well with the spicy mayo that is served on the side. For my main, I got the Tori-mayi - the chicken ramen broth with garlic oil. The broth was rich and flavorful. The chashu was meaty and savory. All of the extra toppings were of great quality. Though, what was undoubtedly the star of the show were the noodles. The texture was nice and springy - they served as the perfect medium for the broth and everything else. Service was great as well. They have a nice cute robot to help deliver everything which I thought fit within the theme. Would certainly come again!

The plant based ramen is really flavorful here. Usually, when the hubby and I check out a ramen…read morespot, the meat broth based ramen is good, but the plant based ramen lacks flavor. At this spot, both broths were good. We each got a version of black garlic chili oil ramen. The veggie toppings were the same, but mine also came with thin slices of very well marinated tofu. I enjoyed my bowl. The hubby liked the pork broth in his bowl, but the pork belly on top was tough. We also got appetizers. The Japanese pancake was crispy, but greasy. The fries were good and not at all greasy and dusted with a touch of spicy Asian inspired seasoning. They were OK. The ramen portions are large, so that was nice. Service is very good here. The human kind and the cute little "robot" that delivered our food. It's a small space, but has tables and booths. The tables in the booths are oddly not wide enough to reach your food, so we sat at a table. There is plenty of parking. If you want to try some flavorful plant based ramen, this is the spot. I gave 4 stars due to the yummy plant ramen and excellent service.

The food was…read morereally good.It is a Japanese restaurant but they have Chinese food that is off menu that only friends & friends of the chef knows about. We had a cold vegetable appetizer , fried pancake, sautéed pork, sautéed beef , noodles, squid and clam soup. All of them were very good. The beef was so tender and the squid was cooked right. The soup was my favorite, clear flavorful broth and the clams were fresh and sweet. Service ofcourse was excellent. The owners themselves were serving us. Horrible food. I…read moreusually only post positive reviews but I really felt I had to post this negative one. We finally got around to eating at Takara today. We love sushi and ramen/asian type food. Well, this place was a HUGE disappointment. My husband ordered the beef ramen. The broth tasted off and the beef had no flavor and was WAY overcooked and rubbery. He had one bite/sip of all of it and was done. My son had the sushi. You can see how much he ate of it. The inside of one of the rolls was hard (shrimp) and the meat on the other one was not cooked right and tasted horrible. The worst part is that the employees could care less. One of them came over and asked if we wanted our ramen to go when clearly it hadn't been eaten. I said, "no thank you. My husband didn't like it." He just turned around and walked off. Then when the bill came a different server came over and asked if we wanted to go boxes. We said no, we didn't like any of the food. He looked puzzled, said nothing, and walked away waiting for us to pay. We did not want our meal for free but would've appreciated someone asking if we even liked the food since clearly we didn't eat it. But no, we payed our $100 and left. And we will never be back.

NOOOOO! I want to find something good to eat in this Colleyville strip, but this is not it…read more To start, the service felt rushed from the moment we sat down. While efficiency is appreciated, this crossed into uncomfortable territory -- minutes after ordering, the food was on our table. While speed can be a good thing, it raised red flags in this case. Additionally, we asked the waitress a few standard questions like "what is most popular," and she said, "maybe sushi or hibachi," not the most helpful, seeing the name is Hibachi Sushi, so I tried again, seeing they have Sea Bass. I asked if she would recommend Sea Bass, and she again said yes, or chicken or beef. I guess we're reading the menu together today. It was rough, but we settled on two hibachi dishes from a standard table and not surrounding the hibachi cook. The food itself confirmed our time concerns. The quick turnaround meant the dishes lacked freshness. The sea bass in particular was disappointing -- overcooked and rubbery, with no delicate texture you'd expect from a quality fish cut. It tasted more like it had been reheated than freshly prepared. Other items followed suit, feeling hastily assembled rather than thoughtfully cooked. The sauce, texture, and everything else were a miss. Overall, the experience felt more like a race than a meal. Hibachi dining usually delivers on the fresh-off-the-grill flavor. Sadly, this visit missed all of those marks. If you're looking for a date night dinning for about $70 (without drinks or tip) but also need to be in and out in 30 minutes, with feelings of disappointment this is your stop. Recommend staff training for the waiters that interface with customers but also, and more importantly, someone that works there needs to eat what the customers are being served. This food is terrible and in need of quality assurance measures.
