Very filling. I've also tried their tonkatsu Ramen and it was delicious, full of flavor and very satisfying and filling (had to take some home with me). I ate this when out with my mom for lunch. Me and my mom love the edamame appetizer. I tried their Salmon Teriyaki bento box for lunch out with my mom recently as well and it was very good. Enjoyed my meal very much and the service was great! Finally tried this spot in our area because we were craving sushi. The service was top notch; we arrived 5min before the end of happy hour, the waitress worked very efficiently to make sure our order was in. Throughout the night she checked on us on various occasions, great job! The food was pretty good, nothing extraordinary. The highlights was the ahi tuna tower, it had a generous portion size and the tuna tasted fresh, not fishy at all. The sushi was on par, nothing to complain about either. I've been eating at their locations for years. am so disappointed and will NEVER support them again! We ordered 2 rolls, soup and chicken fried rice. My boyfriend was enjoying his rice and he pulls out a paper towel. Yes, a paper towel. The entire towel. We bring this to their attention and of course "no manager or owner was on site". Speechless. I've been meaning to update this review but I keep forgetting to get pictures! We went back here a few months ago, and it was a completely different experience. First off, an old friend of my husband's family is now working there (we love you Miss June!) and she took great care of us! I love coming here for happy hour! Their portions are pretty generous and the staff is so sweet and accommodating. I love rainbow rolls and was delighted to see it listed on their happy hour menu. Their rainbow roll had shrimp. Since I'm personally not a fan of shrimp, I asked if I can substitute the shrimp for more salmon and they were kindly willing to do so. They aren't super accurate with time estimations if you call in a lunch order. They may say 10 mins, and you show up 20 mins later, and wait an additional 30 minutes. When I brought it home, the container had exploded and everything was covered in soy sauce. While lunch is a bust, dine in and go for the happy hour! $3 sake and soju bombs. My favorite roll is the reggae roll (its like the sexy roll from Piranha Sushi). My son really likes the chicken katsu appetizer as his meal. It tastes like a better version of the Chik Fil A nuggets (I mean, he IS three years old...). I didn't like their "heart attack" appetizer, nor any of the fruity cocktails, which all taste like variants of cough syrup. The servers are super nice. Stopped by here for lunch the other day. The service was good and my server checked up on me often. I felt like their prices are a little high compared to others. I started out with the beef tataki and eel roll. If you like eel, you can never go wrong with an eel roll. The beef tataki, on the other hand, was a little too cooked for me. I'm used to slightly seared beef tataki, but this one was definitely not, which is why I gave 3 stars. I ordered the nigiri after finishing the eel roll and it was delicious. I'm a southern girl, Georgia born and bread, so if you say it's deep fried it had better be to perfection. It did not disappoint. The second time we ordered through UE and I had to have the deep fried monkey again and decided I'd get a roll. I saw the Reggae Roll the last time, fried shrimp, mango, crab topped with avocado and strawberries and a mango sauce, and thought it sounds interesting, so I gave it a try. It was delicious. I believe Beloved had Ramen. At this point, they have two twice satisfied customers. The third time, we went by the restaurant after a shopping trip and picked up an order to go. Nothing extraordinary, nothing horrible. Came here for lunch looking for something special, $40 later Ieft indifferent and somewhat disappointed. The chicken teriyaki bento box consisted of some kind of pre-packaged warmed up chicken that had seemingly fake grill marks. I would bet money that it had not seen a grill in the 1hr I spent here. The quality of fish here is high, all things considered it's excellent. However, the MK roll was also just okay. The sushi chef is professionally trained and has traditional sushi chef skills, though the roll itself lacks solid construction and it falls apart too easily. In addition the cucumber wrap was a bit bitter. I would stick with sushi here, the only guiding light in this establishment is the sushi chef and great quality fish. read more

I had a great time here at MK's Sushi. We came on Saturday afternoon not busy at all. The food was very good. I got a bento box with shrimp tempura and tempura veggies. It was very good I will try that meal again. The price was fair for the size of the bento box. They have a lot of bento boxes to choose from and a course sushi. I think it was a lunch menu so it might have been cheaper then evening's prices. MK's has a full bar but the bar tender or waitress was not sure how to make some drinks. They do have happy hour started at 3pm maybe then the real bartender shows up. I had a martini very good. Only one it was lunch time. They also have a very good drink menu to pick drinks from. The place is very nice inside with plenty of room nice décor. The service was friendly and fast. Not busy so no wait for us. Parking is strange out front everything is reserved. So make sure you park in the right place. It must be a crowed parking lot at night. There are a few bar restaurants that use the same parking lot. read more

This place has my favorite roll, the sunset roll. It's so hard to find this roll or something similar to it anywhere else. I didn't get it this time but if you like tempura shrimp in a roll, then I would recommend it! Getting lunch today and order the salmon teriyaki bento. It comes with miso soup and salad. The miso soup has seaweed and tofu. The portion of salmon is a good size looks to be about 8oz. The edemma comes cold but still yummy to me. You can ask for fried rice if you don't want steamed. I have tried many many sushi places in my lifetime, but there is only one that keeps me coming back, & that is MK's Sushi! Maybe I'm bias because I use to work there, but I really still go eat there to this day, because the food is just THAT good! The flavors here are amazing & always consistent. Plus they hold some of my favorite things there - that I can't seem to find anywhere else (or other places just do not compare) & that's the Caribbean Roll (in attached photo), the Texas Ranger Roll, & the Ahi Tower + Calamari (which I know you can find both of those everywhere, but they seriously make the best)! We called in and ordered 6 sushi rolls to go. I have two food allergies and they were very reassuring over the phone and when we picked them up that there would be none of the things I'm allergic to in our rolls. They let us pay over the phone which was nice. When my boyfriend walked in to get the order they we taking all the proper precautions as far as gloves and masks go.
