Had some friends visiting the Seattle area, so I wanted to come back and order the Lover Boat. Split between 4 of us, the Lover Boat was the perfect portion. You get to choose the 4 signature rolls, so we got the angry dragon roll, rainbow roll, seared salmon roll, and winter of Seattle roll. Solid choice budget friendly option for sushi in the International District. Torch sushi was a fun touch with surprise fish stuffed in the body of the rice. Also loving the lunch special ($11 for 2 rolls? Come on!). They also have some fun rolls on the menu with no traditional ingredients: pork sung, seared steak, crawfish, shredded coconut. Got take out from this place and appreciated the packaging with all rolls labels. Worth a visit if you're in the area. Would stray away from their drinks though. The sea salt jasmine green tea had so much crema that when mixed the drink was practically white in color. Free parking on the 3rd and 4th floor of the plaza. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor. read more

Fair quality at a fair price. The menu has everything expected for a dedicated sushi restaurant. I ordered takoyaki (6 pcs.) as an appetizer, and the torch sushi box (8 pcs. Chef's choice + 2 hand rolls) as the main. Quality takoyaki is served hot, and I definitely left with burn scars. Each nigiri has its own flavor e.g. wasabi salmon, unagi, toro etc. and tasted fresh! Highly recommend the torch selection for the variety. read more

Came here because of the 5star reviews. Man what where people thinking? The food was ok. We ordered some torch sushi and a few nigiri. The nigiri does not taste fresh at all. If you have not been here before, you absolutely must bite the bullet and go, immediately! The sushi here was maybe the freshest sushi I've had since moving to Seattle 6 years ago. I HIGHLY recommend the jade role. The ginger tea was delicious, the cucumber roll and miso were great! It's in north ID in the mall and they have security out front if your concerned with this part of town. But, trust me and give this place a shot! IT IS SOOOO GREAT. It is new so there's no wait yet, but the whole time we were there there was order after order being picked up for delivery. They are located in what used to be a cute ice cream shop that went out of business during Covid. It is clean and well decorated and the service was excellent. 10/10 I highly recommend making this your regular sushi spot!! read more

Purely on reviews I tried this little spot out for lunch. It's in a somewhat empty multi use building and is not very assuming. But WOW was it worth it. I have tried most of the hot sushi spots in Seattle, an this place ROCKS. I dont say things like this often. Specialty roll portions are really large, and we over ordered. Is that even possible. We had to take sushi home! taste, quality are spot on. Don't expect much in ambiance but I have a new GO-TO sushi spot. Ate so fast I forgot to take pics. Sorry! read more

I ordered sushi from here from doordash and I was so amazed at the price and quality I decided to go bring some friends who were visiting Seattle here! The prices are even cheaper if you're dining in and the quality is absolutely the best. This is probably the best affordable sushi place you'll find in all of the West Coast! I honestly rate everything we ordered 11/10! The chirashi bowl was 15 pieces of sashimi for $18. Every single fish was delicious and fresh! And it came with actual sushi rice. Salmon lover special is $16 and worth it! The nigiri were pretty big and if you love salmon it's a must! If you're looking for a refreshing roll, I would highly recommend the ocean roll! It came packed with salmon, hamachi and tuna and the jalapeño just gave it such a fresh taste! If you're looking for something unique to try than this is it! I was very excited to try this place since I live nearby and my favorite sushi place is Miku in Vancouver which has similar torch sushi options. We got the salmon lover and the torch sushi box for takeout, which were both pretty good! They have a bunch of torch sushi options which were all decent. I liked the spicy salmon one the most personally, which is most similar to the salmon aburi sushi from Miku, but it's unfortunately not quite as good as Miku's. All and all, a pretty good new sushi spot in ID/Little Saigon and they also have some rolled ice cream and drinks which I am interested to try. read more

I like the sushi a lot.... fish is fresh and the price is good. However, front of house is a little spiky and a little disorganized. I've gone here a handful of times (multiple online orders and dined-in once), but at what cost? The one and only time we dined in, the meal was great, until we got a little attitude from front of house when we ordered some rolls to-go near the end of our meal. They have lots of to-go orders and i totally understand the stress of juggling multiple tables and to-go orders, but serving us seemed like an inconvenience. The price, quality, convenience, and parking are all positive points for Sushi Ave, but the negative vibes I'm left with sadly outweighs everything else... Sincerely, sensitive sushi fan read more

I'm disappointed with all these reviews on how good it is. The torch sushi were good, BUT why are there so many rice and not a lot of protein?? We also got their Avenue special roll, nothing special about it. Quality was so terrible, I can go to Hmart and get the same quality and make it at home. First time to ever be disappointed with a sushi restaurant, but it makes sense with the location and atmosphere etc. not very authentic. We also got one of their rolls and the terrible tuna quality made me want to puke it all. It was covered in chili oil, shallots, and just super greasy. Definitely the worst sushi place to try. We didn't even finish all of the order because it was so bad we just wanted to hurry and leave. Be aware if you want to try to save your $ for sushi, you really do pay what you get. I rather spend $100 at Momiji or Wasabi Izakaya than $20 here. read more

The service was very good, and the ambiance is appropriate for a traditional sushi bar. Now that I got the simple things out of the way, please allow me to gush about the freshness of the fish. We orders a Sashimi Deluxe Box, which at $48 was a deal. It consisted of 20 pieces of ultra fresh sushi. Each piece was delicious, with the toro (fatty tuna) and escolar (butterfish) as the stars. The escolar also comes in the Winter of Seattle roll, which my wife and I ordered after learning about this "new to us" fish. Everything was delicious, and I highly recommend others to support this woman owned business. read more

Came here off of a recommendation of someone. 4 star for the service but the sushi I tried here was just okay. After running around Seattle all day we stopped in here for some food. My sister ordered jalapeño hamachi to share. And we all ordered the torched sushi box. I should have just gotten nigiri because I felt like the torched pieces all taste the same and there was a sweetness from either the sauce or the rice we didn't like. I ate a few pieces before packing it up for tomorrow work lunch. It's a decent price for the portion size. I've heard a lot of great things about this place and will have to come back to try other things. I just don't think the torch set was my personal favorite. The lady working was really nice and friendly and it's locate conveniently inside the Pacific Rim Center. Parking is free for the first 2 hrs but be careful pulling into the weirdly angled lot because if your car is a bit closer to the ground. You definitely will scrape the bottom of it hahaha read more

Y'all, the torch box sushi was sooo worth it. It was so yummy and filling. The torch flavor gave it a nice charred taste that wasn't overwhelming and the texture and taste was amazing. My friend got the baked lobster and we did not expect it to be huge haha, we had to pack the rest up but wow this spot is my new favorite sushi place. I tried Sushi Ave for the first time via delivery because I was craving sushi rolls and wanted to order some for a mini dinner party. We tried the torched sushi - chef's special and unagi, seared salmon roll, crunch roll, and dragon roll. The prices are fair at around $8-$15 per roll and $7-8 for the 2 sushi piece nigiris. The torched rolls were my favorite out of everything - such a great option that is not regularly available at sushi restaurants. Plus, everything was really well packaged! Nice little sushi place in Pacific Rim Center. I came here with a friend and we ordered three items to share - Salmon Lovers, Torch Combo, and Baked Lobster Roll. Of the three items I liked the Salmon Lovers the best, which included salmon nigiri, salmon sashimi, and a salmon and avocado maki roll. I wasn't a big fan of the torched items - there's a little bit of a sweet glaze on top of the sushi which I wasn't a fan of and there seems to be too much rice to fish. I also wasn't a huge fan of the baked lobster roll as there was just too much Kani crab. Overall, I'd come back because prices are not bad and still tasty, but probably get the Salmon Lovers entree again or try another item. read more

Located in the Pacific rim center on the 2nd floor, the outside still has the name of the previous store - hi b3ear. DONT BE FOOLED - totally worth a stop. Rocking out to the Sonos top hits list, you're really here to get the torched sushi. These little rectangles are like treasure chests. Not only is there something on top, which is torched - giving that lovely smokey flavor, but inside the rice you might find some cucumbers, avocado, or shrimp tempura! We began our meal with the Crunch Otoro Roll and the Seared Salmon Belly from the chef's specials. The Salmon Belly was a highlight, perfectly soft and melting in your mouth. We also enjoyed the Hokkaido Scallop Nigiri and the Tuna Nigiri. The scallop was incredibly soft, and the tuna had a pristine, clean taste and texture. It took 2 bowls for me to be satisfactorily full so on paper, maybe it is 2 small bowls that make up just a bit over 1 regular order from another place. Their rice is very soft, and their crispy garlic chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. All the other dishes I've tried, including pad thai, spring rolls, and green curry, were all very good and flavorful! Nice owners and nice service! Everything looks new and clean inside.
