One of my absolute favorite sushi spot! Got nice music and atmosphere plus the server and chef (I think is the owner) are friendly to their guests! I usually get the tempura vegetables and shrimp set plus a random choice of rolls that I feel like. My family they love the tonkatsu don, the egg and fried pork combination are the best! Their sushi is fresh as well! Sometimes I'll look on their fb through the Asian Eat group to see what fresh seafood they imported from Japan that week!
Food: delicious! I recommend (in order) the monster roll, the nigiri set, and rainbow roll. Tuna roll in the set was so simple yet good. The waiter did recommend us the blue fin roll, which is fried; I personally didn't like it because it felt overwhelming. But that was my fault for saying I like fried rolls when I rarely get them haha. Price ain't that bad either!!! 3 rolls and a set cost $88. Portion size and quality were worth Service: nice, patient waiters. Gave us good recs. I also saw the owner talking to a customer about their family; so sweet how they personally know some of their customers. Ambiance: it gives a dim feel, but could be because it was rainy day. I wish it was brighter inside personally. Bathroom is clean tho
This has been my favorite sushi restaurant for many years. I live farther away now so I can't come very often anymore. The food is still so fresh and you can tell it was made with love. I usually get sushi but today wanted to try something new and the poke bowl did not disappoint. The waitress was very nice. It was quiet for lunch. Amazing food as always, this is a very nice place to bring family and friends.
Nice quaint restaurant with the sweetest waitress! We ordered some sushi a la carte, one of which was ebi (sweet shrimp) and the waitress asked if we wanted to eat the heads! It was off menu and we had never tried it before. Ended up being delicious!!
What a lovely dining experience! My hubby and I called for reservations at 8, we wanted to avoid as many people as possible. Sue, one of the owners (her husband is the other and the chef) was pleasant on the phone and in person. Located in a smaller shopping plaza with plenty of parking. The decor is lovely. Bathrooms were very clean (always important people). We were promptly greeted and seated. Her and her husband were the only two employees and by the looks of things we avoided the main rush, which as one our first post vaccine dine out meals, we wanted. We started with Takoyaki and a Green salad. I am going to say it out loud- the BEST takoyaki I have had since Japan!! It was perfectly proportioned with tender bites of octopus in an amazing sauce. Speaking about sauce. Fun fact, they make ALL of their own sauces by hand including their signature soy sauce. Their wasabi paste is made out of actual wasabi vs horseradish. What a nice feature. After a great start, we ordered a spicy tuna roll (a good way to see their spice levels) and because of reviews (like this one) the signature Blue Fin roll. This is a fried roll and my husband does not like them but this was surrounded by 3, yes 3 amazing sauces. The spicy sauce, white sauce and eel sauce. Those sauces elevate what would be a typical hot tuna roll. This roll is also quite large. I am glad for that because the non fried fan, ole hubby, loved it. My husband also decided to try something new, Gyu Don. This is a thinly, thinly marinated sweet sliced beef over warm sushi rice. Fantastic and a large bowl. Prices are also very, very reasonable. This is now our definite favorite sushi restaurant in all of Georgia. We can't wait to go back!
Oh my goodness this is such an incredible place... very authentic Japanese cuisine. The food/sushi was fresh and delicious! The service was every bit as good. Sue was our server and was a gem and very helpful!
This sushi spot is tucked away in a little corner and looks unassuming on the outside. It is a small shop with cute string lights. It was quiet when we walked in but definitely picked up later in the night. We originally chose a spicy tuna roll but the lovely waitress recommend the blue fin roll and she was right ! It was absolutely amazing, it was fried and came with a sweet and savory sauce. The scallions on top were the perfect combo. The white fish roll we got was also great! Came with fish and tempura and the tempura was perfectly fried and was the perfect crunch. The white fish was fresh and sweet. The sashimi platter came with 9 pieces of sashimi for $20. I did think the salmon slices were a little thin but definitely fresh. The miso soup was also savory and light. The waitress was so sweet, they are a small shop and seems like they only have one waitress. So the service was not the fastest, but she was efficient! I definitely recommend coming here, probably one of my new favorite sushi spots.
An absolute gem in the area!! Let's start with how beautiful, clean, and quaint the interior was during my visit. The decor is inviting and intimate. A great place for a date night, dinner with friends, as well as a nice environment for well behaved kids. I was greeted by a nice host who also served in a dual role as the waitress. Customer service was superb and she accommodated my meal selection. I for the Sushi & Sushami Regular. They graciously allowed me to swap out the octopus sushami for an extra piece of tuna. Everything was fresh and odorless! They have a custom made low sodium soy sauce and it was delicious. My overall experience and visit was magnificent. Per the server it was a slow night in comparison to the prior night and I absolutely loved being there with no crowd. The music selection was great and suitable for all ages. I'll be adding this gem into my regular rotation and I wish them great success in the area. It's great having a nice and clean sushi spot to visit. They also have a 100 score and that was a plus and part of my reason for patronizing. Go and enjoy the same experience! You won't regret it.
The reviews about this place were not kidding. Excellent service. Delicious food. Great seasonal selection of fish. They had quail eggs which is few and far between. What a gem to discover in Duluth! Even down to the ambiance, eclectic decoration from the walls to the plating. Will return and hope to become a regular!
Food was fresh and very tasty, chutoro was on point. Small location with great decorum. One sushi chef doing it right with small staff. Got there early so was able to get order in and delivered without much wait. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend if in the area.
Excellent sushi in an adorably decorated family owned restaurant. Uno is one of the best sushi chef with attention to detail and great care for artistic presentation. I make sure to make the drive up here every time I'm in ATL.
Almost got turned away at 9:20 last night. Closing is at 10. We were not happy but server ran out to car apologizing saying she thought it was 9:40 and to come back in. It was a little odd. There was another table and we were not far behind them in service so it's not like we were keeping them. Once again food, rice everything was perfect. I'm dead they are open a little later. Miss Honolulu where you can get sushi at 2am.
Our family came for lunch after church on Sunday. There was only one other group of customers when we arrived. Price is a tad on the high side, but the food quality is excellent. I would say their forte is the sushi dishes. Poke bowl and sashimi lunch presentation is very nice and delicious. The Katsu don was OK and doubt I'll order that again. Service is fine, but it seemed kind of slow since it was not crowded at all. The music playing in the background didn't create the ambiance that I would've preferred while eating Japanese food (Motown music). But the feast for the eyes and the mouth will make this place a regular for us. read more
Super stoked to see an authentic sushi restaurant open up in this part of town. It's located in a plaza off of Peachtree Industrial Blvd and Abbott's Bridge Rd. It's picturesque when you walk in. Love the style and decor in here especially the variety of lights coming the ceiling. The light fixtures over the tables are dreamy. You can tell a lot of love went into their menu, food, and rustic interior. It's a small mom and pop restaurant which I always love supporting. The owners are friendly and kind. The sushi we tried was fresh and had a nice presentation. I really enjoyed my udon too. The broth had good flavor. The chirasidon was beautifully displayed on a large plate opposed to the traditional bowl that it typically comes in. I actually preferred it displayed this way. Definitely check them out. Looking forward to going back. Great new addition to the neighborhood. They also offer some lunch specials. Love how family friendly they are too. read more
Great atmosphere, great food, and great Sushi & Company. Located off of PIB and Duluth Hwy is Sushi & Co. The restaurant is just about the right size, not too big and not that small either. The interior design has a rustic/steampunk kind of feel to it. Lots of thought was put into the decor. A few of the decorations were actually done by the sushi chef. You can either sit a table or at the sushi bar. I could see this place filling up easily based on the layout and limit number of tables. The size is just about right, any bigger than they would need a bigger staff. The menu is authentic in terms of variety. Lots of traditional Japanese dishes beyond the sushi and sashimi. The sashimi is very fresh, nothing tasted too old or fishy. Everything was prepared just right. Overall, a great experience! Definitely planning on making this a regular spot for sushi. read more

Family owned restaurant. The sushi is delicious and so fresh. The dishes come out like works of art. Almost too pretty to eat. read more
I was so excited to try this spot after so many recommendations. First thing we noticed was the hike in prices for majority of items by an upward of $3. The prices from 2020 was already higher than other competitors with similar menu and quality. Now this just put it over the line of not worth it value. I ordered the takoyaki, the dragon roll, and the monster roll. The takoyaki batter seems off, was not crispy on the outside, but they did give 2 pieces of squid instead of your typical 1 piece. The dragon roll had shrimp tempura on the inside, sad to say, it was not crispy at all, the batter soon became soggy. The eel on top was similar to many other places, not outstanding and not that bad. The monster roll was much smaller than expected. The fish quality was supposed to be excellent based on previous recommendation, but it did not stand out from other sushi joints. The sushi rice did not help the roll stay one piece. Which made it difficult for me to devour them. Overall the food quality is average for the price, the portion is less than average for the price. The chair was not comfortable due to the aesthetic they try to pull off. The decoration makes me feel like it was a fine dining restaurant, but very sad to say it is not. read more

I don't really write reviews but I think this place deserves some good attention. My husband brought me here for my birthday dinner last Friday. At first I didn't have much expectation of their food because I have pretty high standard to sushi/sashimi. Soon we arrived, we did have to wait for a few mins to get seated even though we had a reservation but it wasn't too bad. As we sat down, the server immediately asked us what to drink and we ordered the hot sake and waters. The drinks came out very quickly. Then we continued to order the assorted sushi deluxe, assorted sashimi deluxe, combination tempura, and miso soups. The soups and tempura came out pretty quickly unlike other reviews have mentioned of their slow service and wait. I was quite impressed with their tempura because the batter was on point - not too thick or thin, just thick enough to hold and cover the ingredients; and they weren't too salty. After the appetizers, it did take some time for the sushi and sashimi to come out while there were only few tables of customers. Maybe I was in a good mood so I didn't feel agitated with the wait. Finally the food came and we were impressed. The quality of the fish and tamago was up to par and authentic. It reminds of a sushi place in Symna where the owner is a real Japanese from Osaka. I wondered if the owner here also ordered their ingredients directly from Japan? Plus we heard the servers communicated in Japanese... We were full and satisfied so we didn't plan to order any dessert but the boss lady (I guess) gave me a free dessert to celebrate my birthday. What else can I complain about? Definitely will come back again for the same orders and probably other food items. Last to mention is their price is decent and location is convenient. We don't have to drive 30 mins to 45 mins every time for some good quality of sushi. Thanks Sushi & Co. for the good evening read more

Beautifully decorated restaurant. Nice quiet location in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Food arrived promptly and service was very attentive. Plating was so stunning. Every dish we tried was flavorful, fresh and delightful. The staff attentiveness make the dining experience top notch; our family felt like we were eating in a fancy five star restaurant. Not to take away from the chef or the decor; this beautiful restaurant has a gorgeous dining area, soft classy music and soft lighting. Can you tell I enjoyed our experience?! We ordered at least 9 dishes from both sushi and regular menu. Every single one of them was a masterpiece in both flavor and presentation. My sons who are foodies loved the dishes, the wood ware, and the cool little pitcher in which their Dad's sake was served. We are glad we chose Sushi and Co. to celebrate his birthday. He left the restaurant happy and satiated. Thank you for restoring my faith in good quality food and service. read more
First impression of this place was positive. The restaurant is filled with modern decor and the atmosphere is relaxed. This place is clean and the server is so sweet. The server is an older woman and she constantly checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. Plus, her sushi recommendations did not disappoint. The sushi had a really nice filling to rice ratio and the presentation of it all was beautiful. What makes this place not just another sushi restaurant is how they made and placed little details with the sushi to make the plates aesthetically pleasing. It almost made me not want to eat because it was so pretty. I can't speak for any other items on the menu, but the sushi here is a must try. I look forward to coming back. read more

This place has the best tuna tataki. It tasted like steak. Fatty, tender and the sauce add to its uniqueness compare to other places. Chirashi was high quality and delicious. So was the fried oysters. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The waiter and waitress were super nice. We we enjoying the atmosphere and the waotress brought out complimentary fried asparagus to compensate for the "wait" even though it didn't feel like a long wait for us. read more

Great new sushi spot in Gwinnett - I had the sashimi without rice, which can with an assortment of 9 fish and octopus, rice (which I declined), miso and salad. The fish was of good quality, relative to the price. I'm not too familiar with octopus quality, so I can't speak on its freshness, although I did genuinely enjoy it. I also had a sparking jelly sake - which was surprising delicious and refreshing. The decor and service was really nice and I really enjoyed the experience. I think this would make a great sushi date night. Keep in mind - on the weekend, they maintain lunch and dinner hours and the restaurant itself is located in a pretty quiet area of Duluth. read more
I love this place and that's an understatement. The restaurant has a very rustic contemporary feel to it which also has dim lighting to set the mood. It's a great place to take your date. The interior design was well thought out and executed precisely. The food was fantastic and portions were generous. I ordered the poki(poke Typo?) bowl and once it arrived I knew I was in for a treat before I even dove in. The presentation was very nice with avocados, diced tuna and salmon, and some other sauce littered on top of a perfectly made bed of sushi rice which clumped together just right. In addition you get your typical miso soup and ginger salad combo which was above average. The service was also note worthy as they are very nice and made sure we were well attended. Make sure to visit for a fantastic authentic Japanese meal. Lastly, I love what they did with the men's sink, definitely pulls at the heart of car enthusiasts. read more

My score is really a 3.5, but since I can't do half points, I bumped it up to a 4. I order two rolls, tonkatsu fried pork chop, fried squid legs. I enjoyed the rolls, fish was fresh, presentation was great. Would like to come back to try the sashimi and other rolls. The tonkatsu, however, was weak. The pork chop itself was overcooked? It was too chewy. The breading was not crispy enough. I was craving tonkatsu and it did not hit the spot. The fried squid legs was good, portion a bit small. Another thing wasn't use to, is that their menu is not very extensive. They don't have alot of Japanese staples. No Hamachi kama, Saba shio, or any grilled fishes. Menu is every basic. I called previously to see if they had a lunch menu or lunch specials, and they said they didn't. I wish they did. read more

First, the service was amazing. Our server was so sweet!! She seemed really happy to serve us and it made the experience worth it. As for the food we received, it was super fresh and delicious, a lot of appetizers to choose from. The sushi was mouthwatering and was very filling. The Udon was amazing. It felt very warm and satisfying to eat. Although there was a long wait, it was all worth it. The interior felt really warm and comforting. The price was pretty expensive but it was only because we ordered so much. Other than that, 10/10 read more

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. They played Motown music. The food was great. We had the Rainbow Roll and the Shrimp Tempura Roll. The rolls fell apart a little bit no big deal. Pleasant staff and attentive. They gave us complimentary tempura asparagus with a wonderful spicy sauce. We enjoyed our Sunday night date here and will be back to try more things on the menu. read more

Super cute sushi spot tucked away in Duluth! I love going here when I want someplace trendy but quiet. Pros: friendly stuff, fresh food, cute decor. Cons: the rolls are a little heavy on the rice. That's more of a personal preference, though. Must try: the gyoza!!! read more
