Burgers and fries
Raphael V.

We had not been back since they moved to a brick and mortar. The burger and fries were as good as we remembered. The place was pretty full but the service was quick. Nice outdoor patio to eat on and watch the world go by.

I absolutely love their new brick and mortar. I love that I can have a beer or a cocktail with my delicious smash burger. The restaurant reminds me of a classic old school burger shop. We visited on a sunny summer Friday mid day. I am glad we waited because they get lines out the door at typical meal times. The staff were friendly and informative. We sat at the bar so we could see the kitchen staff grilling burgers. Of course we ordered a Double Rodeo Burger -COWBOY CANDY, CHEESE, BBQ MAYO, FUNYUN and a Junior Burger -CHEESE & KETCHUP. Both were excellent of course because Sure Shot knows how to make a proper smash burger. In fact I think they might have helped started the trend. Or at least gave us all a standard to live by. When you go I recommend the King Ice high ball it's refreshing and delicious.

Delicious burgers, fries and nuggets. Good service and tasty food. I loved the regular burger and my sister and niece said the impossible patty was great. Nice that you can do your order online and just come in pick it up and eat there or elsewhere. Looking forward to the next move into the brink and mortar next to the cart.

I love a good smash burger and Sure Shot knows how to do them right! My vegetarian impossible burger was crisp around the edges and the toppings perfectly complimented it. The fries were also crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I loved that neither were overly greasy. We ordered take away online, which was convenient. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the prices were great. I would highly recommend this place!

As a big fan of smash burgers Sure Shot has been on my list for awhile, they were top of mind the week I stopped in as I'd just seen an insta post where someone had taken (literally cut off) their power cord. Figured that was my sign to stop in! The cart is situated in a pretty chill spot with tons of covered seating. It was a weekday & well after the noon lunch rush, but there was still a steady stream of folks coming through. I was really stoked to try what I'd heard was one of the best burgers in the city. Like seriously stoked...burgers make me happy lol! Speaking solely on my order (single cheeseburger/fries/fry sauce) Sure Shot is a must-try! My burger was SO GOOD, thin crisp meat skirt edge, patty to bun/toppings ratio was perfect. Some places are all bun but not here. The fries were thin, crispy, salty goodness. Will def be back.

A YouTube foodie video about Portland Food Carts piqued my interest in this place. Out of all the food cart stations I've been to so far, this was probably the smallest. Most of the carts were closed. I'm guessing this may be because there is a much bigger food cart station a short drive away. I actually drove past a super crowded brick and mortar smashburger restaurant on my way here, but was determined to try this specific burger. I ordered a single cheeseburger with everything. Service was very friendly. My burger didn't take long to prepare-- just long enough to be sure it was fresh. Okay, so, first of all, yes, it actually qualified as a smashburger. Out of all the smashburgers I've tried in Oregon so far, this was the first that technically actually was a smashburger. As you can see from my photo, the patty was smashed thin, and there was some caramelization. Not a lot, but some. The toppings were a bit of sauce, onions, and pickles. Basic AF. For $6.50, I thought it was a decent value. It was like a fresher, slightly higher quality version of a fast food burger. In my personal opinion, the flavor of the meat patty was not enough to stand on its own. It was on the bland side. It really needed more seasoning, sauce, or toppings. While this won't be my personal favorite new stop, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a plain, basic, classic smashburger.

In a highly competitive smash burger market, only one can be truly the best. Though it doesn't always have to be a competition... but if you're sure shot you hope it's a competition. You know why? Because they would win. This is the best smash burger in the city. This is the epitome of what you want from a smash burger. Edges perfect, cheese done just right, the perfectly chosen bun, the fries pair perfect. They got the sauce down. It's all there. Nothing else to say. I've been running around the city ranking burgers every which way. What I know is this... It all starts with Sure Shot at #1 (4.9 Stars)

It's not supposed to look like an amazing monstrosity. The joy of a Smashburger lies in its simplicity.

My goto has been Mid City Smashburger, but I may need to reassess. Sure Shot's version was excellent, especially the balance of ingredients. Quick service and fair price.

Friendly service, plenty of parking and covered seating, and killer hit-the-spot food! Simple menu, but you don't need much variety if you're craving a solid burger. The dip options for the fries were delicious too! The bar next door provides bathrooms, water, and other beverages that you might need; or you can hangout there after your meal. Highly recommended!

This is my first driving review via speech to text to write this review. Oh man, that Sure Shot Burger was the best smashed burger I've had in my life as of 2/21/2025. Simple and good; it had onions, cheese. The burger patty was really thin, well-seasoned. With the onions, it complimented it a lot. It tasted as if McDonald's or White Castle would have a smashed burger. As well as the fries tasted like McDonald's. It was fast; my order took 3 minutes to complete because smashed burgers don't take long to cook and had a coke as well. It probably would've been the first place I went back to order for seconds; thought about ordering another burger, but I didn't; it was that good.

Excellent smash burgers! Great service too. The draft root beer is really good, but a bit expensive at $5. They should offer a refill.

It was closer to closing time, but the couple of women who were running the food cart were super friendly and welcoming. They had a small menu, however it covered the popular curry & noodle dishes that I would have expected to find. We typically don't get Yellow Curry but we decided to order it with chicken along with the Drunken Noodles with chicken and a side of spring rolls. The woman who took our order gave us a small cup of mango juice to try out while we waited. Although the food took a while to come out we knew it was because it was all made to order. The spring rolls came out first; they were super crunchy on the outside, had a yummy filling, and tasted great with the sweet/sour dipping sauce. The food came out shortly after and everything was piping hot. I was more leaning towards the Drunken Noodles when we had ordered, and my fiancé was more interested in the Yellow Curry, however after a couple of bites, we decided we liked what the other one had ordered better! Both dishes, however, were very tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to get either again. They had conveniently kept some hot sauce and other condiments at the window, and I'm sure if we would have needed anything, they would have been happy to get it for us. The cost of both of the meals was very reasonable (actually pretty cheap) and we received a lot of food! Neither of us were able to finish either of the dishes. If you're in town and looking for Thai food, I'd definitely suggest checking out this food cart. It's worth a trip!

He just had chicken, & tho I usually prefer pork I like that he only had one choice which means maybe the meat is marinated instead of just tossed raw into the dish at the last minute. It was very tender & flavorful & generous portion for $13. The green beans were nice and crunchy too. It could've been a bit spicier but the spice level in portland seems to be lower everywhere so not gonna fault em for that but it could've been a bit more basily. Still good tho.

This is probably my favorite jianbing I've tried so far. I appreciate how many different types of fillings they have. They have a couple vegetarian options which is great! I ordered the fried tofu classic series, which was the first time I've ever had a fried tofu inside a jianbing. The outer layer was more crepe than egg, in comparison to other jianbing I've tried before. But I didn't mind it (and actually enjoyed!). The sauce inside is so flavorful and delicious! The classic was a perfect portion for me, but they also have signature and loaded options if you're really hungry. They also welcome personalizations, as they were willing to accomodate my request of no cilantro and zhacai (Chinese pickled mustard plant stem). The mild spice was perfect and really not spicy at all - I would probably try medium next time. While food trucks can be hit or miss sometimes, this one did not disappoint. The wait for the food was a little long, but it was worth the wait because the food was delicious. The prices are also decent for a food truck. I highly recommend trying this!

We chose Bing Mi because none of us had tried a jianbing before! The food cart is lined up among others. It's easy to spot since it's bright red. They have their menu on display, and lines can vary depending on the time of day. You line up, order and pay, get your buzzer, then pick up your food. Since we came during the lunch rush, it was a bit busy, and the wait was longer, but everything is made to order. The worker was nice and helpful! My manager and I shared the BBQ Pork Jianbing and Pork Chili Oil Wontons. The jianbing was interesting! It was light, and the filling was savory. It fell apart a bit, and even though it was mild, I couldn't taste any spice. I liked the mix of textures, from soft and crunchy to chewy. I wish there were more filling! The wontons were good--well-filled but not spicy. I would recommend trying their jianbing for a quick, on-the-go meal. Bing Mi is a lovely food cart in Pioneer Square that I'm glad I got to try. I'm glad I know what jianbing tastes like, and I'd get it again. I recommend this spot if you like this cuisine!

As their name denotes, their noodles are hand-pulled. While their menu is limited, this just means that they can focus their efforts on creating quality dishes. For only $14, the beef noodle soup is quite reasonably priced, and actually a full meal. I've had an experience with a food cart in the past where the portion size did not reflect the price point, but not here. The beef noodle soup here is on par at what you'd get at a sit-down restaurant. It's packed with tender beef, plenty of noodles, veggies, and a piping hot broth. Chili oil was unnecessary, as it already came with some on top. The broth itself was clear, yet still had the correct spices that beef noodle soup is known for. This food cart was pretty popular. Other patrons were ordering some of the dry noodle dishes such as the noodle salad or dan dan noodles. Everything from their kitchen looked so good, but as a soup kinda gal, I'm glad I ultimately went with the beef noodle soup. While I cannot speak for the flavor profiles of the other dishes Stretch the Noodle has to offer, from my experience enjoying the beef noodle soup, it's safe to say that I was very happy with my lunch and would love to return to this food cart the next time we visit PDX. Additionally, as I try to be eco-conscious, my food was served in a reusable container, which I saved after devouring my meal and washed instead of throwing it out.

I ordered the Biang Biang noodles for myself and requested mild spice. I love that you get to customize the spiciness because I was a little worried the chili oil noodles would be too spicy. The hand-stretched noodles have the best texture and the flavor was indescribable, honestly. One order was almost 3 meals for me (I don't eat big lunches) and the quality was unmatched. It's only been a week since I went to the cart and I've been craving it again ever since. I didn't even take a picture of my meal, I just dove in. The smell was just too tantalizing. My only complaint is that the hours make it difficult to get over there, but if I plan it right I can make it work and the food is well worth the effort.

Let's get into it. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.
