Today was the second time that I picked up my car from John at Superior Auto Body. I should have written a glowing review the first time (a few years ago) because everything was perfect. When I picked up my car today, it looked brand new! Everything about this place is outstanding. That includes the communication, the treatment, and (of course) the body work itself. They dis a decent job on my rocker panel bt when I was there, there was the same model there being worked on. Paid it no mind 3 months after I got my car and there was a part missing from my car, where that car was being worked on. It cost $200 to get that exact part replaced on my car. Truthfully if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. First off, everywhere else was backed up 2/3 weeks. Superior took me in immediately. They were very communicative and gotbmy car done in an extremely timely manner and worked great with my insurance company. Also had mechanical issues they fixed so they dont just do the body which was amazing. One stop shop for everything, literally. Above all else, the quality of work and cleanliof my car upon return was impeccable. They even went the extra mike to save my yellow fog light layovers that was part of the damage in the crash. This shop is _amazing_!! For the past 3 years I made a pact with myself to only go to the dealer for big repairs. I know nothing about cars and my last 2 cars suffered hideous deaths shortly after going to local mechanics for simple battery charging and a tuneup. (one blew a transmission on the high way and one had the engine set on fire on the highway). Add to it the last time I let a local fix a dent in on my car the paint job was terrible the little patch the guy did turned a weird matte color a week later. So I would have never taken a chance on Superior if it hadn't been for the weird circumstances of an accident I'd been in. I was on a one hour break of an all day training session trying to be super efficient and run errands. I stopped behind a guy that didn't see me and he backed up crunched my hood and grill and messed up my remote lock system. I was hysteric mainly because I'm terrified of car repairs. But the car worked and I was in such a hurry and the guy seemed trust worthy so I decided on the spot to trust him and take it to his repair guy at Superior. I regretted this decision almost immediately after but it was too late. So I went skeptically with him to see the guys at Superior. John barely looked at my car and I only mumbled two sentences because it was such a weird situation me with the guy that hit me and the guy he was paying to repair it. As soon as I left I started panicking why had I agreed to let a total stranger rip apart my car?? I hadn't even really thoroughly described the problems how was he possibly going to order the right parts and fix it?? I'd realized later that the front bumper was cracked under the hood. I decided I wouldn't even push my luck and mention the front bumper. The more the days passed the more I was thinking and being told I was crazy for not going through insurance and taking it to my dealer. I had never seen any of Superior's work, even if he wasn't a cheat he must have figured out I'm a sucker so I couldn't imagine what corners he was cutting. I was truly scared to pick up the car I canceled a trip home for the weekend, expecting I'd need to take it to the dealer. At that point I just did not even want to drive it again I was really thinking I should look into trading it in. But my jaw dropped when I saw it. I could not believe the job Superior did. He didn't even know I knew the front bumper was cracked but it was replaced to perfection and the hood perfectly attached and perfectly painted and the remote lock worked perfectly. My story could have turned out a lot different. So learn from me I randomly crossed paths with a mechanic and tested if he'd fix the car above and beyond expectations. The result was 5 stars: GO SEE JOHN. I can't say what he charges but I can say he's worth it and I can say he's incredibly honest AND does impeccable work. The car was even cleaned inside and out?!!! I was really speechless just felt very dumb for having spent 2 weeks worked up in a frenzy. The car looks brand new from the front where the accident happened. Only thing is he did such a good job I'm going to have to go back and have him replace the back bumper with all it's scratches from city parking. read more

Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, I took my car to John at Superior Auto Body in Medford. I had a fender bender recently which required a bumper, grille, and emblem to be replaced. Since I planned to pay out of pocket to fix my car, John gave me the best and most realistic estimate for repair. I had been to two other body shops, including Pasquale's in Somerville and they tried to lead me to believe that I had much more damage and that my estimate would be well over $1k. Being a young blonde woman in her 20s, I am hyper-vigilant when it comes to being taken advantage of financially so that being said, thank you Superior Auto Body for being honest! As for the quality- Superior does excellent body work! When I went to pick up my car, it looked like nothing happened to it! They also washed it and cleaned it entirely; it looked brand new when I drove it out of the garage. They did the work in a timely fashion, and now that I've had my car back for a week I am pleased to say that I have had absolutely no problems. I highly recommend this place! read more
