I had a small scratch on my car - part replacement, that I had to get fixed and it was going to be covered by Insurance. First time I went there, I met a nice person, who introduced himself as the owner, and was really nice!! He easily convinced me to do an out-of-pocket repair as well. I had no problem - He/team did a great job. I am giving three stars because the receptionist was consistently curt and unwelcoming. Despite this, I was planning to bring in my second car for an estimate after the first repair was completed. However, after picking up my car, I called to get the contact information needed for my insurance claim. The receptionist was again so blunt and unpleasant to speak with that I decided not to bother him again--including asking my follow-up question about the second car. This place may actually be good for repairs, but I will not be returning because of how I felt every time I walked into the office. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Sako Auto Body. After someone hit my parked car outside my apartment, I took it to them for repairs. From the start, things went wrong. They ordered the wrong wheel, installed it anyway, and returned the car to me claiming the job was complete. Worse still, after taking my car to the dealership for a follow-up inspection, the technician discovered damage to the front axle, hub, and bearing--despite the accident occurring in the rear. Sako Auto Body had completely missed this or refused to address it, leaving me to cover those costly repairs out of pocket. On top of all that, the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) warning light is now permanently on--something that wasn't an issue before the accident or before they worked on the car. Overall, I found their service careless and unprofessional. I wouldn't trust them again and can't recommend them to anyone looking for quality and accountability. read more

My family has had an excellent experience working with Jack and the staff at SAKO Auto Body in Medford, MA. We have used their services for my wife and daughter's RAV4's. There are many reasons to leave a 5 Star review. I recently visited Lexus of Watertown for routine maintenance and to have my headlight checked. There was condensation building up each time I went through the car wash. Eventually, this led to a headlight malfunction indicator showing up on my dashboard. I got a quote of $2500 + to take off the bumper and replace the headlight assembly. I then remembered that this headlight on my daughters 2016 Lexus was fixed at Sako Auto Body back in October of 2021. I figured I'd give Jack a call. He said he would be glad to see if the headlight assembly was covered by a warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty period was one year. Jack had me drop off the vehicle and two days later the new headlight assembly along with a new bracket were installed at no charge. They not only stand by their work but did not charge me a penny. I could not believe it!! The quality of their work is incredible. Very meticulous! Customer service at its best! All and all the work they did was beautiful and I am satisfied with how my car was repaired. Everyone I spoke when I would call which was weekly were polite. Communication is not their strong suit. It took much longer than estimated. I was told approximately two weeks and it was actually over a month. read more

Carlos - the SAKO rep at Lexus of Watertown - was terrific: prompt, responsive, helpful, courteous. The repair was perfect, and they even did a full internal and external detailing of the car. The cost was exactly the same as the estimate. We have used them before, and the quality of both their repair service and their customer service is first rate. read more

Jack did an excellent job on my car. My car looks much better than before! Here are the before and after picture. They also washed and waxed my car for free to make it look brand new! I wonder what brand of wax they use, it just looks so good! The pictures tell all! Thank you Jack! read more

Carlos Rivera was wonderful to work with at the Lexus of Watertown location. He is very responsive and customer driven. Ask for him!

Carlos Rivera was our point man. He expedited the repair, kept us posted how it was going and did a great job keeping us informed. The workmanship was top quality and the price actually less than a competitor we priced. It took less than 2 weeks. read more

I cannot praise these guys too highly - spot on. Perfect work was done right on time and not a penny over the estimate. They have a rep at my car dealer - Lexus of Watertown - Phil - and he is a genuinely good guy. He even drove my car back to me. Highly recommended. read more

Great place. Progressive sent me here, after someone smashed my driver side mirror- hit and run style. I ended up cancelling the claim, bc/ my insurance deductible was high. They were very helpful in this process, and it ended up being half the price when I stripped the repair down to the essentials. They called to update me, and even offered to stay late for me to pick up the car, if I was running late and called ahead. They fixed the mirror with Mazda parts (it's a new Mazda). Exceptional service. The kindness and honesty does not go unnoticed! read more

It's never a fun day when you have to drop your car off for repairs but Sako Autobody make it as pleasant an experience as it could possibly be. I've been unlucky enough to have brought my vehicle to them twice this year (a sideswipe while parked and a hit and run) and each time they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Eric and the team running the office do an exceptional job managing communication and logistics with me as a customer and always go the extra mile. As for their work, it is always world-class. The paint jobs are seamless and perfect and any panel work looks like it came right from the factory, always flush with no bad seams. 5 Stars! Bring them your ride, you won't regret it. read more

These guys are professional and reasonable. I got in a fender bender about a year ago and wasn't covered by my insurance. I was on a student budget back then; I explain to the guys at Sako that I wanted my car to be safe, but I didn't have the money to fix esthetics problems. They were super understanding and helpful and managed to keep the repairs within my budget. As a woman I had a lot of auto-repair places try to BS me about the damages to my car; as a mechanical engineer I had a pretty good idea what was wrong and could see right through them. The guys at Sako were straight with me and didn't try to tack on more work, at least as far as I could tell, and I really appreciated that. Since then I've graduated and got a job. I went back there to fix the esthetics problem (replace my bumper and re-do the pain). Again, they were super nice and reasonable. And my car looks great! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend! read more

The team at Sako Auto Body were very professional, very friendly, and got my car back on the road fast. I was very happy with the work they did on my car. I hope not to have any more dents or bumps to my car, although living in Mass it is somewhat unavoidable! I will always bring my car to Sako Auto Body when it is in need of repair. And I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of body repair to their vehicle. -Anna Nguyen read more

5 star experience at Sako Auto Body! I brought in my GMC truck because I got a dent (and scratches) from a careless object/person in a shopping plaza war zone. I am meticulous with my parking spaces and locations, btw. Jack was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. He also was the person who used his "paint-less dent removal" expertise to pop out the dent and buff out the scratches. The results were very pleasing, and I could tell that he is a perfectionist when it comes to producing results. I certainly will return next time I get a dent that's too hard to ignore! I am glad I stumbled across their body shop. Also, they recently moved to a new facility and are certified by Lexus, Honda, and Acura dealers for body work and repairs. read more

Jack is great. The shop did a great job They repaired our rear bumper after we were rear-ended and it looked better than new. They couldn't have been easier to work with or done better work. I won't have body work done anyplace else. read more

Extremely happy with my experience here. They were very accommodating with my crazy work travel schedule to get me in, and kept me updated regularly throughout the process. I could not be happier. I have a brand new Lexus, 3,000 miles, white. I had a small front end collision after only having my car only two months. My Lexus is a pearl white. I can't believe the work that the men at this body shop did for me. I am extremely fussy and particular, and I have an eye for detail. My car looks amazing. I have had my share of bad body shop experiences and had to live through the heart ache of that. It is not enjoyable. You will not find anyone better. I thank God for Sacko Auto Body. Wow. After my wife was sideswiped by someone too old to still be driving, my insurance company recommended I go to Sako. They left me leave it there for a day while the insurance company determined fault (with a $500 deductible, I was wavering on whether to get the car fixed). Once it was found that my wife was not at fault (she never is), they fixed the car, washed it, and appear to have even vacuumed the inside. But that's not all. When I initially received the estimate, they said the car would take about 6 days. After a *hurricane* hit over the weekend and knocked out their phone lines, an employee called me on his personal cell phone today to tell me the work was done two days EARLY. But even that's not all. When I got in there today, they knew who I was, and, here's the kicker: offered me some of the buffalo wings they had ordered for lunch. Free car storage, fast service in the face of Mother Nature's wrath, *and* willing to share their lunch? Now THAT is a repair shop. read more

Sometimes being a Masshole surrounded by other Massholes on Boston roads comes with consequences - generally in the form of broken glass, leaking fluids and crushed metal. In the last five years I have both been a victim of and victimized a Masshole, and both times Sako took great care of me. The first time that I worked with Sako was back in 2008 when I decided that I possessed super powers and tried to drive my SUV straight through a station wagon, that day I learned that I was still a mortal and that airbags hurt... being my first collision I knew nothing about the process, the dealership where I purchased my Lexus referred me to Sako and so that is where I went. Sako worked directly with my insurance company to get the damage assessed and over the month that it took to fix the car kept in good contact with me regarding when to expect it back. While it did take a little longer than the initially quoted 3 weeks to fix, around 5 weeks by the end of it, they did find more damage once they tore the car down and had to order additional parts. Through the whole process Sako made sure that I knew exactly what was going on. When I got the car back it looked as good as the day I bought it, the paint was perfectly matched, the body panels lined up nicely and everything worked as it was expected to. This past September I was victimized by another Masshole and sustained damage to the passenger side of my new car, having worked with Sako and being pleased with their work the first time around I didn't even have to question where I would be taking my new Lexus. While damages were not as extensive as they were in the first collision Sako did a fantastic job. As was the case before, Jack kept me in the loop regarding the status of my repairs and when to expect the vehicle back. When I picked up the car it looked fantastic, the paintwork is impeccable and the car looks great. Sako takes great care of their customers and does fantastic work - I highly recommend them to anyone who needs their Lexus repaired. read more

One hopes their car never has to go to the body shop, but since that's not reality here in the Boston area, my new car has been there three times in the past 15 months as I've been rear-ended twice (by young drivers) and sideswiped by an older driver who was clearly agitated well before she hit me. Looking at my vehicle you would never know any of this -- it's pristine. The crew at Sako has taken expert care of the car each time and kept in touch as they reviewed the damage and worked with the insurance appraisers to get to the real cost of damage to my vehicle. I was initially referred there by the Lexus dealership and it was the perfect reference because they are a dream to work with. You will not go wrong -- and they work on other makes, not just Lexii. read more

Some kid decided to play a little basketball next to my Audi and left a pretty annoying dent. I was struggling to find a good paintless dent removal specialist in the area and stumbled upon Sako. I highly recommend stopping by to get any dents removed. read more

I really wish I could give more stars...things started out so well. I got rear ended in my Lexus IS350 and was referred to Sako by Lexus of Watertown. They were extremely helpful in the beginning, Tom in particular. Helped a lot with insurance questions, towing, etc. This was my first accident ever with a car I've cherished for 5+ years. Timing and everything was great, they communicated well, and got it back to me in about 6 weeks. The car initially looked fantastic...it was only a few days later, the lack of attention to detail really became apparent. After a few days, here is what I noticed: 1. Cosmetic bumper screw covers missing from trunk 2. Replaced headlight not working (Not their fault, just bad luck) 3. Trunk light missing 4. My aftermarket amplifier wasn't working 5. Aftermarket amplifier no longer mounted nicely under trunk lid...lying on the trunk floor 6. Car was completely covered in overspray 7. Slight shimmy between 50-60mph 8. Interior smelled of bondo I gave them the full list of items and had them take it back to address them. About a week later, this is how the items were/weren't addressed 1. Replaced 2. Headlight works now 3. Replaced and working 4. Still not working - they said they cant fix (understandable) but to call insurance to figure it out 5. mounted back up 6. they buffed, but did a terrible job. They only used a stage 1 compound, resulting in terrible swirl marks in direct sunlight. I have a lot of experience reconditioning paint, so I know they skipped the glaze and polish steps with a dual action buffer. I'd have done it myself, but didn't want to spend 6 hours doing it...now I have to. 7. Was not addressed and did not bring it up. still there 8. Cleaned interior, smells fine now I am not typically an internet reviewer, but feel like I had to share my experience. Would most people be happy with the results? Most likely. If you have a keen eye for details and know your car inside and out, you may want to seek out additional options. After all is said and done, I can definitely tell my car has been in an accident and its not the same :( read more

Sako Autobody came at the recommendation of Lexus of Watertown and they did not disappoint. Professional class act from start to finish. Let me start with saying that this is by far the best Auto Body Shop that I have taken my Lexus to. Everyone was extremely nice and kept me informed of what was happening with my car while it was in the shop. The quality of work is by far the best, and they took care of all repairs that were needed that my ins didn't cover. They are very fair, don't BS you with unnecessary crap and fix the problems the right way! I would definitely be back if my car ever needed work again. read more

Just got my car back from Sako. Some minor bumper work. It was fixed within a week with no hassle. Pretty decent paint job but a few imperfections and missing fasteners. I'm no autobody expert but I could tell there was autobody work done in the area of my car. So the answer is NO to..."just like new?". That's why they don't get 5 stars from me. Maybe my expectations are too high. Would I go back there? probably yes. read more
