Tried to call to let them know and no one answered the phone for 20 minutes When the guy finally answered his attitude was "we are closed - there is nothing I can do about it". Just called for delivery - 8:25 pm - they are open until 9 pm. Guy said no more deliveries - they were really busy. It's June in Long Beach -OF COURSE YOU ARE GOING TO BE BUSY. Best rotisserie chicken around!!! This place came to Long Beach some time after the Hurricane and has been a takeout/eat-in staple for my family ever since. My son particularly *loves* their roast chicken (as we all do) but we were delightfully surprised by how good their seafood dishes are as well! My wife and I eat Super Pollo about 1-2 times per week usually as a cheat meal. It is very consistent in its great flavor cooked very good and tenderness of the chicken. The sweet plantains are so tasty. The garlic sauce and the green sauce is amazing. The employees are super nice and take care of you well. The value is awesome also and super close by. read more

My husband and I love Super Pollo!! It is a great addition to the Long Beach area. We haven't eaten there but frequently enjoy take-out. Everyone is very friendly and the food is always hot and ready when we arrive. We especially love the chicken, yellow rice and beans, and the avocado salad. Everything is fresh, the chicken is juicy and the spicy potato dish is a must try. It is served cold so don't be alarmed if you take it home and it is cold. We always heat it up in the microwave :-) The cheese sauce on the spicy potato dish is awesome!! read more

Pollo alla brasa? Yes please! This is a gem of a ace in Long Beach serving up the best Peruvian (or any other) rotisserie chicken in the area. I eat here at least 2-3 times a week and haven't had a bad meal yet. The roto chicken is top notch, throw in some of their green sauce with rice and beans and you're all good. I've also tried their rendition of fried rice which is also very good. The grilled chicken breast Peruvian style is a very large, thinly pounded marinated chicken breast which is the size of a dinner plate. It's really good, and comes with a lightly fried potato, delicious. Love this place, their half white chicken and tostones are amazing.

The food was delicious! I got the chicken salad sandwhich which was in between an avacado and my bf got the steak with eggs platanos and french fries! The french fries tasted pretty fresh not too greasy. We also got a side of beans which was in some sort of dressing/juice. It wasnt bad but it reminded me of the syrup they put in canned beans as a preserver. The beans however did not taste like they where from a can. Our service was nothing unusual it wasnt oustanding and wasnt horrible. They even have the peruvian soda that tastes like bubble gum! For desert we had the caramel cookie which was ehh and the chocolate flan cake which was good if your a flan fan(im not). Overall totally worth a try especially if your in the long beach area craving something that tastes homeade and you want something different then ginos. read more

Very delicious and inexpensive takeout choice! Didn't feel like cooking because of the humidity so for $18, my boyfriend and I split a whole roasted chicken, avocado salad and rice/beans. We substituted the fries for rice and beans at no extra cost; tasty, but wish there were more beans. It was kind of like a bean stew with very tender white beans in a thick, bean sauce. Also, there could have been more lettuce in the salad; a little too light on the greens for me. The salad dressing was excellent! I could honestly eat it everyday on my salads and you don't need too much to taste it. We asked for hot sauce on the side, but got this avocado sauce. I was very hungry and decided to go with the Yelp reviewers' choice for a good place for dinner--4.5 star food I had hoped. Boy what a let down this place was. The food was not very tasty. The roasted chicken was very plain tasting. (I could cook a better one in 1 hour 30 mins. with just some salt, pepper, a lemon, garlic & thyme.) The tostones were so disappointing and lacked any real taste other than that of the fat they were fried in. The Palta Rellena (stuffed avo) was underwhelming because of the overload of mayo that dominated the dish. Perhaps if they used avocados as the base for this chicken salad it would be tastier and healthier as well. Skip the fried calamari unless you like flat tasting oily food with no flavor of the main ingredient. read more

Just had a combo here with my husband and toddler. The venue is casual and modest. I am more concerned with the food and value, so that didn't bother me. Food and price did not disappoint. The green sauce and garlic sauce were perfect, probably the best taste of the many Peruvian restaurants that I have eaten at. Chicken is fabulous as usual along with tasty yellow rice and maduros. For the record my wife and i prefer eating "ethnic" and locally when possible. But last night when i decided to stray from my norm i ordered a skirt steak sandwich and unfortunately it was too skimpy............."where's the beef?" The steak was cut so thin in a single layer and on one half it only covered half of the half. I guess i expected more for $14.00. in fairness when i complained to the waiter he brought me another thin slice but now on my next visit chicken, chicken, chicken.................only. IMPORTANT............when the check arrived by chance i noticed that a $9.00 gratuity had been added. Clearly........ we were a party of 4 not 6.......but no mention was made on their menu.
