Not the best place if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. The hostess was sitting at the bar eating and watched my party stand there confused for about 5 minutes. The restaurant was basically empty except for two or three parties outside. The service wasn't great, there was a long wait for everything including water and silverware. The oysters were decent. I ordered the Island Time Bowl which was very "wet" and had no flavor. The rice and chicken were sitting in water and the mango salad only contributed to the unappetizing texture. The chicken was a sad excuse for jerk chicken, and should have just been labeled as "grilled chicken skewers." If I do come back it will be to have a drink and nothing more. read more

This is a nice little beach bar to stop if you're visiting for the weekend! I got the Hawaiian bowl and it was delicious! Our service was quick. All in all was a good experience and would go back when in the area! read more

This place is so much fun, especially for brunch. They have an unlimited drinks menu for brunch. I mean come on, why not ..The service is great and the food, wow..Its the reason we came back. Their Huevo Rancheros and Cuban styled egg bacon avocado and cheese sandwich is just amazing ..We made it a lovely Long Beach farmers market and after brunch event ..This might be our summer routine. You have got to try for yourselves.. read more

I just want to say Jetty Bar and Grill in Long Beach, NY is the absolute best! John the owner and Riima catering manager made my special milestone birthday event just absolutely priceless! The Upstairs Cocktail Lounge is a hidden gem - the staff and service was beyond impeccable - food was delicious - bartender extremely on point and professional mixologist and catering staff was there for your every need. My guests were extremely impressed from beginning to end - everyone had the time of their life and so many are asking to have their special event there as well. I just have to say thank you to the entire team at Jetty Bar and Grill in Long Beach - I could not have had this milestone event without you - we will be back many times and I know my guests have also spread the word about this wonderful experience at Jetty! Thank you so much! Rita P read more

Ate dinner here last week &, unfortunately, we were really, really disappointed. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was dry & thus lacked flavor, Also ordered the Lobster Roll which had the tiniest of bits of lobster in it which were also dry & chewy & the overall flavor was more of celery than anything else. Judging from other reviews. we were expecting better. On the other hand, the brioche rolls that the sandwiches came on were quite good, the fries were crispy, the beers were refreshing and cold and service was very good. read more

Stopped in during a trip, tenders were raw in the middle, service was a joke and there was urine all toilet and floor in bathroom.

Terrible service. So rude and the food is inedible. Shocked this place has been able to stay open. I guess trash gets trash tho.

Another winner on our new take out quarantine list! Food came fresh, on time, and well packaged. I do believe everything was correct in the order. The first thing I got was the steak arepa, yum. They STUFFED it full with steak, to the brim! And the steak was great, the cotija cheese crumbles were yummy and I loved the avocado sauce that came with it. The yucca potato fries, another thing on my order, were delicious and came with a great sauce on the side. They stayed pretty crisp through the delivery. The final thing on my list was the fried fish taco....was not as big of a fan. The fish tasted overfried and dried--but I learned next time to go for the grilled fish. Prices were very reasonable for all the good food I got. Definitely getting an arepa EVERYTIME I order! On a side note, it seems that the tortilla chips have gluten in them. My roommate is celiac and we believe there was some gluten. For those not worried about gluten though....their chips are great! read more

Cute bar with above average food for a bar! We came in with a group of 10 on a Saturday over MDW and they were able to accomodate our large party no problem. We were there to eat and have a casual drink but I can tell that this would be a really fun spot for a night out. Although Jetty feels like a sports bar and has some sports bar staples on the menu (burgers, wings, etc) they also have tapas on the menu which I thought was interesting for a bar. You can order things like arepas, croquettes and skewers. I went with a fish taco (thanks to the menu description which says it is 'veryyyyyy good') and medium buffalo wings. The wings were just average but the menu description was right - that was a damn good fish taco. A little steeply priced at 6 dollars for just one taco but totally worth it for a perfectly fried piece of fish. I didn't try any but the menu has a bunch of creative cocktails. My friend ordered a blueberry lemonade vodka and really enjoyed it. Maybe next time I'm out in the LB! read more

Paid for a 3 hour open bar, and had it cut short by an hour because the restaurant lost track of who should have and shouldn't have been at the open bar. Instead of offering stamps/wristbands, they hand counted how many people were in the room 2 hours into the event, and promptly turned on the lights and forced everyone out of the room with bouncers. Advice to management: learn how to properly keep track events, or stop hosting them altogether with. read more

Had dinner here a few nights ago after visiting the beach. Staff and service were great. Very attentive servers, almost felt like they were rushing us out but I think it was just a bit slow for a Monday evening so they were extra attentive. They were still kind and chill. Unfortunately, my partner and I may have gotten food poisoning from this place! We got the Fish n Chips. It seemed fine as we were eating it but we both started feeling queasy a few hours later. It is the only thing we ate outside of our normal diet. Perhaps it was the oil? It's been a few days and we are both still recovering. read more

I recognize that I am not the target audience for this kind of place, and I did not come at the expected time. I've walked past this restaurant numerous times over the last few years noticing a very strong party atmosphere (in common with a lot of Long Beach establishments over the past few years) but decided to pop my head in for an early lunch today just to give it a shot. The staff was very friendly and I loved the music playing. Unfortunately this is where my appreciation ends - I ordered only 3 tacos, so maybe this isn't their strong suit, but they were certainly not great. The fish taco was okay - though it claims to be best on the island - it was the best of the three. The shrimp taco featured distinctly undercooked shrimp and also funky seasoning. The beef taco was soggy and extremely bland, but I ate the whole thing to make sure I wasn't messing up. On the other hand, my more *outgoing* friends and relatives that have been there over the years have had many good things to say, so perhaps I came at a bad time/ate the wrong thing. Nonetheless, the prices were too high across the board for these to be this low in quality. In addition, the table I was seated at was quite sticky. Not a winner for me, sorry guys read more

Listen this place was great for a quick drink and some yummy bar food. The watermelon mojito was super refreshing and their special house mule was amaze! The shrimp empandas and croquetas were outta control. Service was courteous and prompt. The women's bathroom was being fixed and Ali the manager I suppose was super kind enough to escort me to the men's bathroom so I could go. This kindness I will not forget. Thank you! Will come again! read more

We were all chanting "take it, take it" as more people walked in (& they did!!) Man, that took me back to my college days !!! We also had the Jetty wings and fish & chips for lunch --- delicious and hit the spot !!! All I can say is I will never go anywhere else for a fish taco...AMAZING! My boyfriend always seems to be the best at ordering because he ordered two fish tacos and I ordered a steak taco mine was good but his was excellent, such great flavors! The vibe was also very excellent even on a rainy sat in march it felt like we were in Florida with the soft Caribbean music and the very chill laid back bartender he was great and made us not want to leave! Overall great experience and well will definitely be back to check it out when it gets warmer out! Went back again last night and it was just as great! Last time we went it was winter so it was dead but now we experienced it in summer and it was awesome, live music, the windows were all open, food was so fresh and tasty we got fish tacos and they were superb can't wait to go back again! read more

Went to this bar twice in 2 days, I will start off with food is great. However in back to back days the service went from bad to horrible. Day one the waitress bought out 3 drinks that were wrong and we asked her about and acted like we were wrong. We drank them anyways to be nice, then she got the food order wrong. When we got the bill the drinks definitely showed that she put the wrong order in. We kept our mouths shut to be nice and still left a good tip. Day two, since the food was good we figured we give it another shot, since we wanted to try the drink we order the day prior, but didn't receive. The people I was with got their food an hour after I finished my meal. We bought it up to the manager Ally, she apologized and got us a free round of drinks, however they were all undrinkable and we asked her about it privately to not cause a stir she said they weren't "Vendetta" drinks. Which clearly they were because she bought it up. After we asked if we could get replacement drinks she asked us to leave if we didn't like them, then called the bouncer to clear our table (which he didn't because he knew she was wrong and we all had full drinks). She was unbelievably rude, and clearly untrained for the position. After, all that the waitress walked out with our apps, this is after we already ate and got drinks. They clearly forgot about the apps since they came out an 1hr 30mins later. We declined the apps obviously. read more

First, let me start off with how rude the owner here is, he spoke so disgustingly to me and my friends when we told him the ATM didn't work... sorry? Won't tell you next time. Second, there was a local here he ordered one drink, he was not drunk before, and the bouncers threw him out for dancing the way he wanted to...(NOT INAPPROPRIATELY). I am so disgusted that this occurred especially on one of my first few nights here. DO BETTER. And if the owner is a father that is disgusting to talk to girls that way. read more

This was the best place after spending a long day at the beach. I don't eat large portions so this place was perfect for me. The skirt stake was cooked to perfection and the fact that it came with grilled corn and sweet plantains was the best combination. I also got the fried shrimps that were served with some spicy mayo. The jalapeño watermelon mojito was refreshing with a nice kick at the end. read more

Tapas bars are the biggest swindling bars around. They make you believe that you're not doing anything wrong if you order 7 different dishes because the portions are small. Like, who the fuck was I kidding? So I came here with my friend for dinner with intentions on getting a delicious salad. We ordered the jerk chicken skewers, calamari, jerk chicken arepa, mussel pot, skirt steak taco, yuca fries, and the empanada of the day. Not to mention, we were so curious about the fried pumpkin pie that Eric (an amazing manager/bartender) ordered it on him. So much for that got damn salad lmao. The food was delicious. It wasn't busy at all so we were lucky to get our food in less than 15 minutes. Even the water was refreshing. Eric treated us well and had all open ears to our lovely female gossip. I had a great time and anytime I go back to visit my friend in Long Beach I'll know exactly where to go to grab a bite to eat. read more

I love the Jetty! Great location, great drinks, great live music, amazing wings! The wait staff is always smiling and on top of their game. The atmosphere is just what you want in a beach town bar with chill cabana surf shack feel. I am obsessed with their sangria. I came here on a Saturday night. It wasn't crowded but the bar was filled with ladies. I think they were looking for a night out with the girls. My boyfriend and I were seated in the back where the dining tables are located. The Jetty offers typical bar food. We shared the jetty wings, empanada special of day, which was pork and beans, and yucca fries. None of the food was oily....the cook did a good job draining the oil before serving it. The wings were tasty and sweet. The empanada was just ok. The yucca fries were crispy. In the summer, there is ladies night, where females can get a free pitcher odds sangria. The other summer promotion is $2 Tapas. read more

The owner was extremely confrontational for absolutely no reason. I asked for help when the atm charged my card and didn't give me the cash and he basically told me to F off before explaining I should call the atm company. Would've let it go but then the bouncers kicked out a local for no reason. Wasn't drunk or creepy or causing any issues it was gross to watch him be embarrassed like that. Honestly? I'm not mad I spent a night dancing at a watering hole. Stepping in I felt like I was back in college, except it was a lot less wild and there wasn't a long line for the bathroom. Drinks were easy to get, floor was filthy, and the DJ could have stuck to one or two genres a bit more, but otherwise, I ain't mad. It does feel a little claustrophobic in there, given a very low ceiling, but they kept the air ventilating quite well. I suppose this is the exact thing a mid-20 something year old would say about a place. read more

We came here for a quick bite to eat after arriving to Long Beach late on a summer Friday night. We arrived right before it got a bit too rowdy (which was perfect for us). The order: - Two tacos each (shrimp & fish for me) (steak & fish for him) - Baked clams The shrimp taco was very generous with a heaping pile of shrimp on top and a delicious lime dipping sauce. The baked clams were nice and big and a good balance between clam & breadcrumbs. Maybe I would add a salad to the order next time if we had come a bit more hungry but definitely seems like the go-to place for fish tacos & fun in the area. read more

I've been here several times for brunch since they opened their indoor eating and I'm overly satisfied with both experiences. You must stay seated at your table unless you are using the restroom. Your mask must be worn upon entering and exiting and any bathroom trips. They are pretty strict about these rules and I'm very grateful for that. I felt very safe and comfortable. They can accommodate groups of up to 8 (pretty sure reservations are a must) and seeing Ricky Roche perform live in person is always a plus! Also the BEC empanada and the great white frozen drink are absolute musts! read more

Went to watch the hockey playoffs. Bar itself is good. Nice open windows for covid and outside seating. Staff was fine. Didn't like the limited IPA selection. Should have more than two for a bar. Food is hit or miss. Wings were crispy and tasty with their flavorful homemade sauce. My friend said his burger was good. I had the blackened mahi mahi. Mostly bread, not the least bit blackened or spicy, very thin and little fish and flavorless! Really disappointing sandwich! The fries were the only good thing on the plate. Obviously it's a bar so you can't expect 5-star dining but the food was meh.n if go for drinks only next time! read more
