Second time coming here and I have yet to be disappointed. The calamari is delish and I got the chicken piccata this time. OMG so tasty such big portions, I had lunch for next day. Our server was very kind and helpful, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is small but comforting and elegant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time going to Ruffino's, our server Melvin was a delight, sociable, knowledgeable, the food was very good, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is inviting, and very pleasant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There is a small bar towards the back. The complimentary pizza bread is delicious, and hard to resist. The house salad was refreshing with honeydew included.

I was driving through this town and I was hungry and craving old school Northern Italian. So I googled n Yelped to find a place that's been in the same location for many years and I came across this place. The waiter says they have been there about 50 years. (I do this a lot in uncharted neighborhoods- i figure.... if the same place Has been there for 20 to 50 years they must have pretty good food)!! ....and I was not wrong with this place..... My husband had lasagna and he thought it was very good ....but both of us thought the eggplant Parmesan (which I had )...was absolutely delicious!!!. It's hard to find a place that makes their eggplant Parmesan like this ((((another place that I highly recommend if you're reading this that makes it similarly ...maybe even a little bit better because I grew up going there.... is a Caramia which is in Queens Village)))). But this place The sauce I think is even better than Caramia!!!! it's old-school tomato sauce that's really flavorful and it doesn't have any funky chunks or vegetables or anything new fangled in it ......it is really well done .....cooked down old fashioned tomato sauce.... I really can't tell you how delicious it was .....I'm really going to go back to this place.... I think I'm going to buy a tray of eggplant Parmesan for my next get together because it was that GOOD ....the reason why is because they probably use a mandolin but they slice the eggplant so so thin and then they batter it and fry it (it's just a very light coating maybe it's not even a batter, maybe it's just an egg flour mix-)...what it isn't is thick slices with a terrible coating of Progresso breadcrumbs that taste like you're eating breadcrumbs for dinner -which I hate - it was just so light and delicious ....and I spoke to the waiter who is also the maître d' ....and he said they make it ala minute....they made it for me (it did take like 20 minutes to come out )...because they were literally preparing my eggplant just for me ....and boy it was perfect ....I'm dreaming about my leftovers -I'm having for my lunch today

The service was great ! Very attentive and welcoming ! The portions are LARGE and filling! We had lots of left overs to go home with! The food was very good! Everything tasted fresh! For dinner for 2 the price was good too around $60 after 2 dishes and dessert not including tip :) I'll definitely be back :)

This is definitely a hidden gem. We have lived around the corner from this place over 4 years and has never gone inside until recently and now it's our go to spot. If I could give 10 stars I would. First the place is nice and cozy very friendly and homie environment. You feel welcomed the moment you go in. You are greeted by Santo who is by far the best waiter I've ever had. He place very close attention to every detail. We had our daughters first communion here and he was amazing the food and service were great and all the guest went home very happy. We have since returned multiple times did dinner and it is always delicious. My favorite is the chicken Parma rib penne a la vodka and chicken Francese. Their cannolis are to die for and don't forget santos homemade sangria and the cappuccinos. Overall an amazing experience give them a try you will not be disappointed.

Since my favorite Italian place closed down, I remembered, I have to go back to Ruffino's, I recall it being good, and my friends go there as one of their favorite places. I have been back about 4 times and love it. I get the same thing each time, the pre fix special during the week... Seafood capellini. Holy cow it is pasta and seafood perfection. With the prefix, you get a salad (which has a lot of dressing on it so beware) an app (I always choose the baked clams) and the main dish (seafood heaven for me) and a dessert for like $24.99 The baked clams are delicious. They are buttery and have the whole clam in there, rather than the chopped version. The pasta oh man the pasta, picture diced up clams, scallops, muscles, and huge shrimp to top it off. It is in a liquidy red tomato wine seafood broth sauce. This dish is something cravable. It is so delicious. The whole meal is so filling, we feel like zombies after we eat. I have taken my husband here, and my Italian friend, both of them love it every time. Staff is friendly, be prepared to stay a little while. They don't kick or rush you out, besides...after all this yummy food you won't want to move from your seat!

Food is very good. The alfredo was one of the best in the area. Chicken franchese was also good.

As someone who isn't the biggest fan of tomato based soups, but doesn't always want the heaviness of a cream based soup, this is the best of both worlds. Its flavor was rich yet balanced. The cream brought a smooth, velvety body and subtle sweetness, while the tomato added a bright acidity and savory depth. Potatoes provided gentle heft and earthy comfort, while onions, celery, and herbs built a layered, homey backbone. There was a good amount of tender clams, with natural sweetness that tied everything together. We also got an order or mini crab cakes. The exterior was golden fried, with a nice crunch. The interior was more crab than filler, with enough structure that it held together. It was simply seasoned, supporting the crab instead of overshadowing it. The horseradish Dijon sauce was more Dijon than horseradish. It brought a gentle tang and little bite to add a depth of flavor to the crab cake. Also of note, when you sit down they bring tartar sauce and cocktail sauce to your table. Both sauces were honestly the best of their kind that I can remember having in a very long time. I couldn't even tell you what made them so amazing, but I must have commented at least 7 times about how good they were. There's a reason Bigelow's has been around for almost 90 years. It's a simple spot, with old school charm, that knows a good thing when it's got it, and doesn't mess with perfection. It just continues to serve up consistently good fried seafood (with a few grilled options so you can drag your health conscious friends and they'll find something too).

Bigelow's Clam Bar never disappoints. Every single time I'm driving from Brooklyn to Rockville…read moreCentre, this place is worth the stop. This visit I ordered the lump crab cakes, clam strips, fries, and a lemonade. Everything was a solid 10/10. The crab cakes were loaded with sweet lump crab meat and barely any filler. You can actually see the chunks of crab when you break them open. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely delicious. The clam strips were hot, crispy, and tasted incredibly fresh, and the fries were perfectly cooked. The staff is always quick, pleasant, and efficient, making takeout a breeze. Most importantly, the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. That's what keeps me coming back. If you're in the area or even passing through, do yourself a favor and stop at Bigelow's. It's one of those places that lives up to the hype every single time. I'll definitely be back.
