Located in the heart of point lookout Mo nelisa is a cute little pizzeria and restaurant and bar. The pizza was OK. The Sicilian pepperoni slice. The tomato sauce was on the sweet sauce side and the buffalo chicken was heavy and sloppy and the chicken had pieces of ligament in it so I would pass. Looks like a cute spot for lunch or dinner. I was dining with four friends for our first time at the Mona Lisa restaurant in Point Lookout. NY on Saturday Night September 6, 2025. The food is great but one of the staff member lady was so very rude to party during the closing of the restaurant. She yell the at our party while we will waiting for two of our people in our party who were using the bathroom telling us wait outside, Very rudely. On top of that they were already cleaning the bathroom with chemicals that are hazardous to people using both men and women bathroom, so to closed the restaurant as fast as they could. The chemicals is a violation for the safety of people still in the restaurant and using the bathroom. This happen after we just finished dinner and spend our money. She was so rude to that we will never go back to the Mona Lisa in Point Look Lookout again and we will never recommend anybody to dine at the Mona Lisa Restaurant in Point Point, NY. Now that I have an autoimmune, Gluten freers are in a sad state here - tried ordering the cauliflower for the magical grandma alla vodka which is barely ok as a crust, but they only had the gluten free crust which is a gummy, unpleasant experience. Guess they didn't hear that I wanted alla vodka so a regular pizza on their gluten free? Sadly a pretty inedible dinner and I'm making myself something else to eat. A waste of money. OMG!!! What a wonderful, delicious and memorable place to eat My two friends and I ate at Mo'Nelisa this past Saturday night. It's pre-season for Point Lookout, but you wouldn't have known it from the high quality food and wonderful service we received. We split an entree of Penne Bolognese. It arrived in a gigantic bowl, enough for us to eat heartily. But the really memorable part wasn't the quantity... it was the amazing taste of the bolognese sauce. Without question, it was the finest we've ever had. We raved about the sauce to Jackie, who's a great waitress, betting whether it contained cream or milk. Chef John came out to end the debate and we wound up quizzing him about his career since we were so impressed with his talent. He's a modest, unassuming guy with extensive credentials, lots of talent and a great personality. Two of us ordered grilled salmon with vegetables as entrees. I'm not exaggerating when I say the salmon was extremely fresh and delicious! Whatever the source, it tasted like it had been delivered by the Bronx-based Fulton Fish Market that day. I've never had better salmon! So of course Chef John came out again to accept our praises and we got to ask more questions. Mo'Nelisa is such a gem that I made my friends promise to join me for dinner there again very, very soon. Heard about this restaurant from a friend and wanted it give it a try. My wife and I were going to Jones Beach for a concert and though this would be a good place to have dinner before the show. We arrived at 4:30 for an early dinner, there were tables outside under a red canopy, seemed very quaint and inviting but we choose to have dinner inside. When we first walked in we were by a pizza counter, then immediately to the right was the dinning room. This was also very quaint and inviting. The walls were painted red on the top half and white on the bottom with appropriate pictures on the walls to give a warm dining room feel to it. We were greeted and seated immediately by Anna our waitress. We were given menus and she told us the specials of the day. We both ordered the Broccoli Rabe Rigatoni with Sausage in a light garlic sauce and while we waited for our dinners we snacked on the fresh hot bread with olive oil. Once dinner arrived the portions were huge (Please see pic) with plenty of sausage to be had and it was awesome. We did not finish because we wanted to try their Tartufo for desert. Also Awesome and big enough for two. I can see this being a great place to relax and enjoy a bite to eat or dinner in a small town down by the beach. When we were leaving it started getting very crowded, looks like the word is out. My wife and I had a very nice dinner and desert, Anna out waitress was attentive, efficient and friendly. Went on Saturday march 29, 2025 for a man's bday party . Lillian was giving her husband a bday Luncheon . Never been to this restaurant even though I live in Long Beach . Didn't know what to expect and being Italian you know we can be a little picky about Italian food. Well let me tell you everything was so fabulous delicious and so yummy . My friends and I sat on four top off to the side of the main dais's my bad didn't know we suppose to sit there. Service outstanding! We ordered our own apps baked clams mussels in white wine and a south shore salad all awesome I would do dressing on the side next time . We each had a different entree all of them outstanding and generous portions ! I had the broccoli rabe with sausage and rigatoni one friend got the chicken francese tender cutlet lightly breaded with a delish lemon sauce the other friend got chicken Florentine new item also amazing the pink sauce mamma Mia so good . The bread which John aka Johnny makes was so amazing perfect for soaking up all the wonderful sauces in every dish . Justin was our server who went over and above and I think I drove John and Justin a little crazy but they were so awesome had such a great afternoon and fab red wine what could be better . I've only been here for parties. The food and service are always very good. Pizzaria in the front of the house, and a party/dining room to the side. During the good weather months, they have a small outdoor space. My biggest issue is parking. Point Lookout is notorious for horrible parking. read more

Ive fought against leaving a review on this place a few times because the food is good. But i cant hold off anymore. Im a town employee. Been working in point lookout for 15 years. Been going to this pizza place since it was "olive oils" & I have to say the level of rudeness from a few of their employees is truly unbelievable. I find myself replaying things in my head to make sure they actually happened and im not off base. Today i went to pick up my order that i called in before hand, there were a few people in front of the register so i was just waiting to talk to someone behind the counter. Then all of a sudden a hear a "yo!" Followed by snapping fingers basically next to my head because i couldn't see him behind the pies. Yes he snapped his fingers at me lol...This is also the same guy that whenever i go sit at the counter to order something im treated like im not welcome and its an inconvenience for him that i sit there. So after i was snapped at and rang up. He then proceeded to forget to hand me my food and just take my Money. I stood there a few minutes watching him, when he finally realized im waiting for my food he didn't even say sorry or anything and just handed it too me. We just moved from the Dirty Jers to Lido last week. We got lots of good Pie up in Northern NJ. Surrounded by moving boxes we called the closest place. Mo'Nelisa delivered a hot sausage pizza in 20 minutes. Perfect. So happy there's a great joint in the hood. Will be back to try other menu items. read more

I had dinner there last night and all I can say is that it was awful. This is the second time I dined there...first time this past summer and the food was great. I ordered eggplant parm and angel hair. The sauce tasted like it came out of a jar...so sweet like having Ragu when I was a kid. He knows how to keep a customer satisfied and happy during their meal; all the way to the entire meal. Excellent experience. This place is located in Point Lookout, on Long Island, so if your a local definitely come. If your not, but heading out east to the Hamptons or what not, make the trip. First time trying this place. There are VERY rude pizza men behind the counter. My friends and I were trying to figure out what to order and the man was practically screaming at my friends saying, "what are you waiting for?" Even when they said they were not ready to order. In reply, the man yelled at my friends with a higher tone with the same, "yeah, what are you waiting for?". Which was very unnecessary because I am sure we were capable of ordering without them screaming at us and rushing us. Eventually, my friend ordered a meat calzone and was waiting for his food. The guy sees him and AGAIN asked WHAT WAS HE WAITING FOR??? He says he ordered a meat calzone and the man says that he placed out three calzones but doesn't tell my friend that they were meat calzones. So my friends were left confused and felt bad as if it was their fault completely for not knowing that that was his order. It was just unnecessary to scream at my friends. Aside from that, apparently it takes an hour to make a classic pie?! Max a pie should take is 30-45min. Very impatient people and do not recommend this place. Other than that, they do have nice waiters. But still not worth coming because the food is way overpriced! Will def not be coming back! read more

I used to go to this restaurant. About a month ago my wife and i went with another couple for dinner. We sat down at 630 and received our meal at 745. The waitress forgot to place her order. Things happen as the place was crowded. The chef came out and stated that he just recd the order. He came out again and showed us the late ticket and the young waitress was wrong and he will adjust our bill. We recd our bill and nothing was adjusted. I ate here last week but just got to writing the review. The pizza, which they're known for, is good. Not upper uber great like some of the other brick oven spots on LI, but definitely good and worth the drive over. However, I also ordered the shrimp parmigiana and it was incredibly. I even asked if they could do it in a pink sauce. Some places just give you a vodka sauce when you ask for that but these guys did it right and made a new sauce with a little light creme in their usual red sauce. Delicious. Get it. Look at my pics, I zambonied the plate with bread it was so good. The pizza was good, the pasta was very good, the shrimp parm was great! Ambiance an A+ cause it's a beach town in the summer. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my husband sister in law and infant we ordered meals at counter and sat ourselves inside dinning room after 20 minutes they brought sister in law her calzone after 30+ minutes they came to tell me they didnt have main dish that I ordered ( it was a special that was posted on blackboard out front) we decided to leave because at that point ordering something new wasn't a option with a infant! We canceled the rest of the order! They refunded us for the dishes we didn't receive ( still charged us for our sodas) . Weird experience to say the least. read more
