We discovered D'Cocco's when we first moved to Oceanside after trying a few pizza shops. Coming from NYC, it's hard to find pizza we enjoyed. I was quite happy to find D'Cocco's. I loved their pizza and my husband always gets their buffalo slices. Service is efficient and quick. There are some seating for counter service with the back set up for actual sit down service. It always hits the spot. We will have to try their other dishes sometime. read more

I've been going to D'Cocco's for years and their pizza is easily my favorite. The plain is my #1, but the vodka sauce is also amazing--whether you get it as a slice or the penne alla vodka! To top it all off, they have the best Italian ices; the rainbow ice is my go-to. Got the eggplant Florentine, it's basically eggplant parm with spinach and basil, very large portion, hearty, and tasty! The chicken fillet hero is a cutlet, also huge and great and came Boxed in a sandwich box instead of tin foil so it held its shape really well. Omgggg I just had the most delicious Osso bucco ever! I come from a real Italian family and my mom used to make this quite often bc we all loved it so much! This chef made it exactly as my mom used to. It brought back great memories! It's their special therefore not on their menu. The price was also phenomenal especially for this dish! In an area with more than a dozen pizza restaurants this is our go to neighborhood Italian restaurant. Located in the Sands Shopping Center this restaurant has been there as an original tenant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with any special requests. The food is solid and there are always daily specials. The veal Parm is still one of my favorites. Seafood fishes are fresh and I think their pizza can stand up to the competition. Veal Marsala, another basic, is delicious. Portions are generous and more importantly tasty! Plenty of parking in the shopping center. Wine and beer. read more

A little disconcerting sitting in their cozy dining area while you are paying for waitress service and sitting directly next to you are a bunch of kids with plastic cups and paper plates sharing a slice of pizza and throwing straws at each other, acting like ..kids! A harried server who tried her best when the room got busy. The personal pizza served was okay but really looked more like a frozen pie, unappealing. which I sent back for more fire. Stopped in for a quick bite and, as I always do with a new pizzeria, I got a single Neapolitan slice. My theory is if the plain pizza is good, the rest of it has a better than average shot....well, the slice was OK. Big plus was the cheese wasn't salty (a common cheap cheese problem) and the sauce wasn't overly sweet (another sure sign of bad pizza). So, it was pretty OK...not bad and not great...a respectable slice but not worth going out of your way for. If I'm in the area, I'd go again. read more

I dined here for lunch today with a friend while shopping in the strip. My friend works here on weekends and suggested we have pizza. I saw the Lunch Menu and we decided on pasta dishes for $12.99. I had the chicken parmigiana that comes with linguine and Italian bread. My friend ordered the Chicken Ala Vodka penne. Everything was perfect. The seating area is very modern and comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. The chicken parmigiana was very well seasoned and prepared. The cutlets were nice and crispy and the sauce was perfect ! I'm very picky about Italian food but this was very good. The owner here was very kind and hardworking. They have a lot of great meal specials here. I was minding my own business shopping on a warm summer day when I had the need for some pizza. This wasn't a usual Pizza Crave. More like a Pizza epiphany. I walked into to Coco's on a mission of hunger. My nose was pressed up against the pizza display glass like was a kid at Schwartz chocolates in the city. And then I saw it! And it was love at first sight. I had to have it. Yess the one on the left and in the corner. Yess, it's all mine. The lusciously large-and-in-charge, Incredibly, saucy corner slice of thickly decadent Sicilian pie. Now pile it high with sausages and let me have it hotter than hell out of your oven. I was so impressed with the flavor and freshness of my Sicilian slice, it was paired with the genuine friendliness the staff and a great seat by the window. Can't wait to go shopping again so I have an excuse to stop back for another one of their ridiculously delicious slices. I really enjoyed my unforgettably wonderful lunch today. My favorite pizza place!! They have so many different slices to choose from! Even gluten free!! They have a baked ziti slice, buffalo chicken slice, chicken marsala slice, chicken parm slice, penne vodka slice, and that's just to name a few. My personal favorite is the grandma slice. Their pizza is always fresh, no matter what time of day I've been there. They also have a wide variety of lunch/dinner options, which are all reasonably priced. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews about the staff. Everytime I come in here I am greeted by friendly faces.
