This is a great place for take out pizza or to eat in occasionally. The reason why we order from here is because my spouse is gluten free and they are able to do gluten free crust with meat toppings (except meatballs which aren't GF) 90% of the time we get delivery and the delivery driver is very friendly. I stopped by Francesco's on the way home after an event to take some pizza home for guest. Stepping into the pizza shop, I saw how clean it was. There must be a table attendant doing rounds every so often. The dining room is pretty big and very attractive. I interacted with the guys making the pizza, they were a bunch of jokers who knew how to make their customers laugh and enjoy the moment. Engaging with one person, I was able to share my experience of Barrier Brewery, and he shared his as well. upon leaving one of the workers acquiesced with my decision to have a slice, split in half. That gesture was very kind. I had my fill with pizza for the night, so I did eat the slice that was split into 2 pieces` in order to provide a precise review. That ZA was delicious with a mild marinara sauce everyone enjoyed. I can eat this ZA without it affecting me and this was not a thin crust; it was a regular crust. Honestly speaking, this was an 'mmm' slice. When you bite into it, you go mm because it's that good. 1st time visiting and went based on yelp reviews. Typical pizzeria with large selection of pizza. Service was cordial but messed up my sandwich order so I had to wait for them to remake it. Grandma slice was good. Pin wheels were ok. Chix Parm they messed up but the sandwich was very mediocre especially the breaded chicken. They charge you 4% for using a credit card even though they don't tell you. I know that credit card companies charge less them less than 3% so the restaurant make an extra 1%??? Not very good business practice. Will not go back. read more

This honestly might be the best pizza place in Long Beach and the surrounding area. The only time I ever didn't like an item from here was the Philly cheesesteak because it was just pure grease and an absolute mess. I also got it on a pizza which was the same exact thing. Just a huge mess. But literally every other pizza I've had was great. Their upside down pie is the go-to. The chicken Caesar pizza is great. The wrapped slices are awesome. The inside is reminiscent of Rose's in Penn Station (pre-construction). It's not a bad thing, but it's just not what I want if I sit down to eat a chicken parm dinner. We had the Neopolitan pizza with some sides. Their food is excellent and very fresh. Delivery was fast. But I have a complaint about not only this pizzeria, but all of them in the area. They all undercook their pies. The crust and bottom were pale and not crisp. Maybe their oven is not hot enough, or they open the oven door too frequently. A pizza should go into a very hot oven for about 3 uninterrupted minutes. I know they're busy, but the customer has to wait. I think Francesco's pie would be excellent if they just allowed the pie the proper time. They use good, tasty ingredients, but it's lost on a floppy, soft crust. read more

Two items always at the top of whatever I order their Chicken Soup it's so delicious the very best I have ever had, I'm addicted to it. I always order 2 or 3 at a time. The other item is the Antipasto Salad, Francesco's spares nothing lots of salami, ham, pepperoni, all the best italian meat and plenty of cheese with crispy fresh lettuce. All their entree's are wonderful but my favorite is their Shrimp Oreganata or anything Oreganata. The portions in this pizzeria were sizable and good quality. Each meal can be taken home for the next night that's how much is on each plate. Each meal you have a choice of either a salad or a pasta. I chose the salad which again was sizable .The salad was loaded with olives, cucumbers, tomatoes,and red peppers.The dining area was very simple that it felt like I was eating in my kitchen. This pizzaria/restaurant serves the best Italian food in Long Beach. For three years it has been my go to place for pizza and for pasta dishes. Their prices are incredibly reasonable. The food is absolutely excellent. I don't get why people wait online at some restaurants on Park Avenue to get their Italian food when this place is so much less expensive and so far better . Their service is excellent. I usually pick up but they do offer delivery which I've used several times and which has been both prompt and with the food still very hot. The manager is extremely responsive. I absolutely recommend this place for pizza and Italian food in Long Beach or even for those in Island Park or Oceanside. read more

Overall pretty impressed with this new Long Beach restaurant. We ordered over the phone with the coupon we received in the mail on a early Saturday evening. The woman was having technical difficulties but still got it all figured out. Our food arrived within 30-40 mins and was still hot. I got the upside down slice, which wasn't my fave because I just love good pizza sauce too much. The stuffed garlic knot with chicken vodka was amazing, flavorful, and filling. I'm not quite sure what the other thing was, seemed like a chicken parm calzone or something. We ordered a pepperoni pinwheel - or at least we thought. It was still good though! My roommate, who is Celiac, was happy with the amount of options made available to her. They have gluten free crust AND cauliflower crust. She was a huge fan of the cauliflower crust white pie. It's been awhile since I've been there, I had been going In And out of town often. But every time I always try to stop by for a slice of their delicious plain pizza. I also am always welcomed with service and a smile, aside from someone asking how you are. This restaurant is the typical family feel of the neighborhood. For the dining room it's nothing fancy, but the service itself is tops, so really who cares! All the dishes I've gotten have been delicious and they can make anything anyway you want! I hope this brings new business in for them, they do deserve the boost as business is slow for all right now. They are priced reasonably to keep you coming back for more. We did delivery last night and it was very good. Chicken parm entree with ziti bolognese, and calamari arrabica. Overall, very good and huge portions. Only a few comments: Bolognese was very dry, calamari was mushi but tender (I recommend sending the sauce on the side), and one little piece of bread.
