Ate here on Saturday 1/11/25 and definitely wasn't up to spec. The stuff they keep in the case is pretty nasty -- no thanks. Not sure if the place changed management...some of the people who were there last time seem to still be there, but some new faces too. Gonna take a pass now. There is nothing really special about this place. I've had a regular pie from them and it was good. There meals are okay too. The reason for the two stars is more towards the customer service. I've ordered from them three times, and the last time I ordered there were a few discrepancies. I was charged $2.50 to add Vodka sauce to one of the meals and Bonbino's did not add it. Two of the meals were to included a salad and they were not included. I phoned Bonbino's in Oceanside to let them know that the Vodka sauce was not included in the meal and was immediately given the response, "That meal doesn't come with Vodka sauce!", to which I replied I knew that but Vodka sauce was added for $2.50. "Oh, and you were charged $2.50", I said yes and then there was silence. I then told him that we did not receive the salads that comes with two of the meals, and his response, "We haven't done salads in eight years since we took over this place!" I told him it's on the menu and he claimed he has asked "them" to take that off. (I'm not sure who "them" is?). The last order I placed I received salads so this guy flat out lied. I realized this conversation was going nowhere, and this guy did not care that my order was incorrect or that I was charged for something I did not get, so I ended the call because there is no point in arguing with stupid. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from them again. read more

This restaurant was recently taken over by the original Bonbino's in RVC. We ordered a large pie with half chicken and sausage and 2 chicken rolls. We were advised that everything is being made fresh to order. Everything was delicious and fresh. We will definitely be ordering again. Staff and delivery were very friendly. read more

Spotted this place across the street from the spa I usually go to. Walked in and asked what was fresh or what just came out of the oven. The guy taking my order seemed a little offended that I asked that, although i meant nothing by it. Any who, got a pepperoni slice to stay, since I had the entire place to myself. I can't believe this still happens with the invention of those little plastic things that keeps the tops of the pizza Box from ruining the pizza inside of it when multiple orders are placed on top of your food. The menu has so many choices of apps, soup, pasta, pizza, salad, entrees....very difficult to decide what to order... and everything was delicious. The portions were generous, and the sauces excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and that just made our experience even better. What a great neighborhood find Bonbinos on Lawson is! Don't waste your time. The place has gone down. The calzone was a total disappointment. Very small and the pizza has become mediocre. Definitely not worth the money. Feel like this place is a hit or miss when trying new things on the menu. Tried a couple of different things and wasn't thrilled. But I must say, the Bonbino's Special Sicilian Pie is amazing. It's one of the best Specialty Pies I've had from any pizzeria. I've ordered it a couple of times and it gets better and better each time. I will continue to keep ordering that from them. And I just want to say my grandmother had ordered from them, the guy walked out with her holding the pizza and put it in her car for her. I called the night before I needed to use this establishment after an outing for my 3 year olds birthday in the area. I spoke to Matt over the phone. He asked me what time I would be in and I said about 615, he said your pies will be ready. I waked in and within 5 minutes two pies were ready to be served. Everyone was so accommodating to my guests and I. I can't say thank you enough for the awesome customer service and the excellent hospitality. Being a Brooklyn girl, I'm a pizza lover and the pizza at Bonbino's was AMAZEBALLS!!!!! and the fact that their pepperoni wasn't pork took me over the top. My family, my belly and I thank you. When my husband and I opened up our pizza box we were stunned. We just looked at each other - What was it? It didn't even look like regular pizza. The whole thing was a light orange shade and it looked like the worst frozen store-brand pizza you've ever seen. The separate gratings of cheese were still visible as individual strands - what there was of it. Instead of the nice gooey, white melty cheese seen on even the worst pizza you get in NY, this very thin coating of "cheese" looked and tasted like plastic mixed with non-fat cheese food, not even real cheese. The sauce was disgusting - sorry, I can't come up with a better word for it, it was simply awful. The garlic bread was absolutely sodden with oil and burned. Even our visiting grandchildren who will pretty much eat anything with the word pizza on it said it was disgusting. read more
