New ownership however the food still tastes amazing. The service was great and Jamie was top class. It was great to be back here for some of the best pizza in RVC. Stop by and ask for Jamie, he's excellent.

This brick oven pizza was delicious

Not sure why it states this restaurant is closed because I have been there recently. I wanted to take a moment to compliment your restaurant. The pizza was absolutely excellent, flavorful, and delicious. What truly made the experience stand out, was the service. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and professional, creating a comfortable atmosphere. It's clear that a lot of pride goes into what you do and I'll definitely be returning and recommending your restaurant to others.

Yes, amazing, stop by and enjoy. Warm and cozy decor which is perfect for date night. Unfortunately I'm alone on a 24 hour layover. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted and helped with my selections. I went with the lamb risotto special along with the fra diavlo. Wonderful dishes and great value.

Although the place was busy for a Friday, we were seated immediately at the bar. Food choices is mostly italian and a brick over pizza. Bar service is good Adrian the bartender makes the best Martinis.. Tried the wild berry cosmo and I'm addicted. Also tried the coconut Martini which was also quite good. Pours are generous. For appetizers the Octopus was quite good. Served with Hummus and Crisps.. You will eat everything in the plate.. Perfect compliments. For my entree.. Had the RVC pizza.. White sauce pizza with toppings which included Prosciutto, arugula and parmigiana cheese. Fantastic... Will make this a part of my regular rotation

Had a small surprise party for my daughter in law at this wonderful eatery. I've thrown more than my share of parties in some of the best places in New York and I must say Vulcano 081 was right up there with their food and service. Vulcano 081 may be small compared to other restaurants but they put their heart and soul into pleasing both the host and guests. Many thanks to Alvin, Lisa and Adrien. My guests were very impressed and VERY FULL!! You went above and beyond! PS. Your drinks were amazing too!!

My family and I love Vulcano! The food is delicious -- every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Adrien always greets us with a smile and treats us like old friends. They also have great specials and even offer a prix fix menu, highly recommended for some great italian food!

The food is good but they overcharge for simple menu items. I ordered a pasta dish and asked for additional protein. Additional chicken and shrimp is $5. I added salmon to the dish, two weeks ago I was charged an extra $13, however the price just happened to change to $18 without being advertised. They have good customer service but adding an additional $18 for a salmon filet to a $22 pasta dish is ridiculous, especially if not advertised. Good but not worth $40 .

It's been awhile since I've been here but it's as good as it's always been. Came here for dinner with my husband. It is a nice small town dining spot. More of an intimate setting. The staff was wonderful. All of them were super attentive, one was always on top of the drinks, another was on top of the food, another was always attentive to clear the table and pack leftovers. They have a tues Wednesday special of a four course meal, it was an absolute steal! You got an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert for less that $30. The portions were just right! We both choose different items to share and have a taste of everything. The suppli was packed full of flavor. The pizzas were just as incredible as i remember! The Margherita was and has always been my favorite there with the Bianca coming in as a close second. Ended the night with tiramisu and chocolate gelato, it was perfect finish to the night.

My husband and I were in the mood for some good wood-fired pizza so we decided to head to Vulcano. We had the Calamari and Burrata to start, which was so good! We also ordered two pies. The Valentina and the Vodka Pizza. Both were delicious! We couldn't stop eating them. We also ordered the Peach Sangria and Coconut Margarita. I'd recommend both. Everything was great and the staff was super friendly. We would definitely go back!

The pizza was delicious but small for the price. Was not in love with the fettuccini bolognese.

I have ordered takeout before but today I just needed a moment to sit and enjoy something comforting . This place and the chowder did the trick. The place has been around since the 30's so that says a lot. They do have tables outdoor under a tent but I love the nostalgic vibe of the inside counter with the little stools. You can watch them fry up all the goodies. I was immediately greeted, sat and my beautiful bowl of chowder came. The service is endearing and though my first time dining in, they treated me like I was a regular and they do with everyone. Maybe that's why they have been around so long. Good food is great but service that makes you feel like you are a regular is top tier. As The clouds rolled in the thunder struck and as the rain poured down, I enjoyed my lovely bowl of New England clam chowder. They are heavy on the fresh clams and just right on the potatoes. They do have the red chowder and their Long Island version which is a mix of the 2. This just hit the spot all around and on a day like I was having today, filled my soul. I'll BE BAck for the good fried goodies next time. Thank you!

As someone who isn't the biggest fan of tomato based soups, but doesn't always want the heaviness of a cream based soup, this is the best of both worlds. Its flavor was rich yet balanced. The cream brought a smooth, velvety body and subtle sweetness, while the tomato added a bright acidity and savory depth. Potatoes provided gentle heft and earthy comfort, while onions, celery, and herbs built a layered, homey backbone. There was a good amount of tender clams, with natural sweetness that tied everything together. We also got an order or mini crab cakes. The exterior was golden fried, with a nice crunch. The interior was more crab than filler, with enough structure that it held together. It was simply seasoned, supporting the crab instead of overshadowing it. The horseradish Dijon sauce was more Dijon than horseradish. It brought a gentle tang and little bite to add a depth of flavor to the crab cake. Also of note, when you sit down they bring tartar sauce and cocktail sauce to your table. Both sauces were honestly the best of their kind that I can remember having in a very long time. I couldn't even tell you what made them so amazing, but I must have commented at least 7 times about how good they were. There's a reason Bigelow's has been around for almost 90 years. It's a simple spot, with old school charm, that knows a good thing when it's got it, and doesn't mess with perfection. It just continues to serve up consistently good fried seafood (with a few grilled options so you can drag your health conscious friends and they'll find something too).
