in from Miami for a few days, got here on Monday night Tuesday ordered food from here and ordered an eggplant Parmesan hero, a veal Parmesan shrimp Parmesan combo, baked clams, zucchini, sticks, and some other things and we asked for garlic knots. It would have been good business ethics had the person who took the order, said that everything came with garlic knots. There's a first for everything but an honest business person would say you know, sir everything comes with garlic knots and I would've said thank you very much. I appreciate your honesty so I don't need to order them but oh well.. The eggplant Parmesan here was OK I've had way better, especially growing up in the five towns. We had a lot of amazing places. I will never go back to this place again! I ordered take out for the first time from this place and I got terribly sick. I ordered gluten free penne with shrimp and spinach in a vodka sauce. When I was placing the order, the woman on the other end kept saying, "Hold on, let me check." About 15 minutes after eating the meal, I felt sick and began violently vomiting. I went to see the owner the next day, but spoke with the manager. I explained what happened and he said he doesn't know why that happened because he can assure me everything was gluten feee. He told me that he worked last night and if the customer asks for gluten free, they get it. The frozen prefabricated dough that they by from a distributor (comes on its own circular tin) tastes like dry, brittle, building material. They lied also saying it was homemade. Just started going to this place and I can believe how great the food is. I've been going to the Lynbrook location 1x a week and the Oceanside location at least 2x a week for the past month. My favorites are the chicken ceasar slices and buffalo chicken slices. The eggplant parm is the best around (i am picky) and the cannolis are so delicious. I get one almost everytime I go. There are about seven pizzerias near to this one in Oceanside, NY. I would recommend Villa over all of them for pizza (by the slice or pies). Villa is pretty creative in its slice designs. I recall it being the first pizzeria in the area to try such things as a baked ziti pizza and caesar salad pizza. They have lots of other variations (always already made, so no waiting). Ruined. My. Mothers Day. We placed a phone order for pick up because we know the delivery would take too long. Was told over the phone 35 minutes by VIGO. My family is getting the dining room all nice and ready for a nice Mothers Day dinner (no cooking!). I pull up to the parking lot on time 35 minutes later, put on my Mask and Gloves.. Walk in and was told my order will be ready very soon. I said no problem, and paid for my order $ 62.64 on my credit card and was told that they will bring it out to my car. I waited. I waited some more. I go back in and told sorry, we will are so busy,, a little while more... its now an HOUR more,,, and again i go back in and was lied to my face by HASSAN that it still isn't ready. I finally asked for my moeny back and HASSAN made a refund on my credit card. What a waste of time. No apologies, nothing given. These new owners are not good, and lie. The serving size for the meal (a veal parma dinner), which includes a side of pasta (or other options), Italian bread, and garlic knots, was very generous. The amount of veal was almost crazy-generous. So this place wins for value, hands down. Great for under $20. Most places serve far less food, and cost more. The food itself was around average. Not great, not bad. So, therein be the compromising point. (You knew there had to be one, right?). Overall, it is an ok offering for once in a while.
