Huge selection of specialty slices, their regular slices are one of the best around, and they have amazing chicken rolls and heroes. Pretty much anything they make with their house marinara sauce is amazing, they just have a great red sauce. I highly recommend the baked ziti slice, the chicken rolls, chicken parm hero, and veal parm meal with linguini. I order delivery from here fairly regularly. read more

Villa Formia has a pizza shop portion and a more elaborate restaurant portion. This review is of the pizza shop portion. My favorite pizza shop. People have different tastes in pizza in terms of crispiness/thickness of crust, etc.. I personally love their pizza, which has a thicker and tastier crust. They also have a wide variety of different toppings/types of pizza. Personal favorites are tortellini pizza and the white pizza. The pizza shop half is laid back and friendly, generally with a soccer game on the tv. read more

Time and time again, the pizza has always been undercooked. I don't know how you can make a chewy pizza (and I mean chewy dough NOT chewy from the cheese...), but this place is really consistent at it. The pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza tastes like they warmed it up in the microwave and tossed it on top as an afterthought. I gave them multiple chances... and they had bad customer service to boot - I have plenty of stories. For the price of their pizzas you might as well go to DOMINOS. And that says A LOT... read more

Rude jerks!!! I ordered $13 worth of food. They would not take a debitt card. I guess my money was not good enough. The loser wouldn't even entertain using the debit card. Hands down this place has the BEST Penne a la vodka. I've gone to many places but their food and their chicken ceasar salad slice are the best. This place is really a hidden gem. We have been going here for many years and the food was always good, but last night it was awful and we won't go back. First, the garlic knots were underbaked & when we asked for some that were baked better, we got burnt ones. The marsala combo, containing veal, chicken, and shrimp was terrible. The sauce was bland and had no marsala taste whatsoever, both the chicken and veal were tough. Once upon a time this dish was excellent. The shrimp boscaiola wasn't bad but it was a smaller portion and not as good as it used to be. When my husband politely told the waitress to tell the chef that the meat and sauce weren't good, she immediately became unfriendly and didn't apologize. Sorry to see such a decline in what used to be a good restaurant. read more

This place was an amazing find! Great pizza and the staff was incredibly nice. My boyfriend and I were staying nearby, without a car, they told us where the closest place we could walk to to grab a six pack of beer for our take-out pizza. When we came back the food was ready and they threw in some of their extra-tasty cinnamon sugar doughnuts (which I also highly recommend). I hope places like this get to stay around for a LONG time. read more

Bad experience! As an entree, I ordered Calamari Marinara. The squid tasted metallic and very fishy. 'Wanted to return it as it was inedible. The server brought dish back into the kitchen and came back out to tell me that " management stands behind the quality of the food and was still going to charge me". Not even an offer to exchange it for something else! ( I don't know what "quality" they "stand behind", but I would of gotten a better meal from a dumpster!) It's apparent that ownership has alot to learn about customer service. They should remind themselves that there is a ton of competition out there. read more

This has to be one of my favorite go to places. Being a frequent flyer here, they never disappoint. They have the best chicken slices and wide variety of others. They even had a limited time taco pizza which was amazing and should bring back. They are a family oriented restaurant and the owners, along with the staff, are awesome people too. I have called multiple times (like an idiot) in the past always hoping for a change. Everytime I call this restaurant for either a simple question, the men over the phone are nothing but rude and disrespectful. They make me feel like I'm working for them the way they talk to me. My friend's and family had the same experiences when calling here.. then when the food finally gets here the food isn't worth it. There are only a few good Italian restaurants in Oceanside and I really mean only three. This is one of them. Hands down, the best classic Italian food. Love the veal parm entree. Huge portions. I always eat half and take home the remainder for dinner the next night. Great sauce. Regular pizza and Sicilian are fantastic. Must try the chicken Caesar pizza. read more

The food has been good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Went for dinner and we weren't hungry enough for a whole meal each so I said we would split the dinner. All's well until the bill comes and I see a $2.50 "sharing charge." Excuse me? you're a pizzeria in a strip mall and I know real restaurants that don't charge for that. Anyway, I ask the waitress about it and she says, with a snotty attitude, "well, it's on the menu." True, it IS in small print on the bottom of the menu but how about as a courtesy and to be a good server you tell people that when they order? Inattentive servers hang out in the kitchen with their backs to the customers so you have to go looking for them a lot. read more

Worst experiance ever. My wife who is 4 months pregnant ordered Linguini with Red Clam Sauce, and the first taste was tainted by a bad clam. We told the Waitress and was told by the Chef that we're still being charged Half Price for something my wife refused to eat and left untouched. It's a shame that $6 was more important then a Happy and Healthy Pregnant Customer. We will never eat there again out of principle. This is not a Family Friendly place.
