Chicken funghi
Gina B.

I really had high hopes because I heard good things so I decided to try it. The place itself is small and you're practically on top of the other tables which isn't ideal. Second the chairs are insanely uncomfortable hard wood no padding. Staff was nice and patient as my friend decided on her entree. To start we ordered a pizza and it was indeed very good. For our mains I ordered the chicken cordon bleu Marsala. It came out extremely overdone where I couldn't even chew through the pieces on the ends they were singed. I replaced it with the chicken funghi and that dish just fell completely flat. The chicken itself wasn't flavorful and still a bit tough- now the sauce was TERRIBLE. I hate to say that but it was so bad it was thick as can be with so much cornstarch there was no Marsala flavor what so ever. I make Marsala a lot and I've been getting a similar dish at La Piazza for 25 years and it never misses the mark. I took two bites. Dessert was good I had a nice tiramisu. The waitress didn't comp anything on the bill which I felt to be a bit rude but I was so done I paid and left. I would go back for just pizza but for regular entrees not again.

We walked in on a Saturday night and all the tables were taken. We waited about 30 minutes. It's a small place but cute decorated inside and dim lighting. They have a full bar (sangria is made fresh and delicious!) Appetizers were bruschetta and meat/cheese board, everything is so fresh. Pizzas are a brick oven and airy crust. Servers are so helpful with the menu and great service. Highly recommend if you can get in one night! *What's strange though and to remember is that they do not offer some sort of call ahead seating nor reservations. They also do not have a phone to physically speak to someone it is only an automated recording. Make sure to not leave anything there or else I have no idea how you get in touch! Lol.

Wood fired wings delicious! Comes on top of a salad which was great!

We enjoyed our time here at this fun clean cozy place. Food was very good, especially the artichokes.. I can definitely see a larger space, we were lucky to arrive before 5 pm on a weeknight, but the tables do not turn over that quick and there isn't much space to wait. Recommended for sure but be prepared to wait on popular days/times.

I had seen Tony and Luigi's for a while after it opened on Merrick Road and finally my wife and I decided to go in and try it last night. We were blown away. The food was outstanding. We shared a Mojito, we shared the Bruschetta special. We shared the Cesar salad and we shared their pasta special. What can I say? The food was more than enough for the two of us and it was incredible. I would highly recommend Tony and Luigi's and we will be back with our friends

We walked in around 4pm without reservations for 3 people and were seated immediately. For parties larger than 4 I would suggest reservations because the space is on the smaller side. The other funny thing about this place is that my cousin walked in through the restaurant next door and the waiter said people do that all the time, so now you know. Otherwise, everything was quite excellent even as a vegan because they had vegan cheese and plenty of veg options. Delicious bread and oil as a free appetizer surely won me over. We all split a bottle of red wine under $50 and had a grand old time. I loved the decorations, you don't have to dress up to go here and service was extremely good. I loved the Italian waiter, don't tell my fiance. I definitely recommend!

Came on a Friday night with my girlfriends. We arrived around 6pm and luckily there was no wait, but almost every table was taken. The ambiance is beautiful. Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. We got the house salad, artichokes, vodka pizza and chicken wings. Definitely coming back!

Love this place, was perfect for our date night. I had a smoked apple cider margarita which was delicious. My husband had the lasagna which he loved and I had the eggplant parmesan, both were served in these skillets which kept them hot. Our server was so nice and helpful when my husband couldn't decide between 2 dishes. Will definitely be back soon.

Margherita Pizza, Pasta Alla Norma, and Pasta Al Forno

We went here for a girls night and had the best time! The staff were so nice and helpful with the menu. We ordered enough to share everything. It was delicious! The martinis were great too and the mixologist was friendly and told us more about the drink menu. Highly recommend!

Molto Bene - Loved the Chicken Parm

Fantastic!!!! We had a perfect date nights thanks to Molto…read moreBene. From the service to the food, everything was perfection. Quiet neighborhood spot, excellent Italian fare. My husband ordered the bronzino over risotto. He cleared his plate and raved! I ordered the veal sorrentino, best I've ever had! Thin sliced, decadent sauce and perfect portion. We will for sure be back. Visit this town gem, was nice to be at a proper Italian restaurant.

It was a snap to get here from the Meadowbrook Parkway and they have a very convenient parking lot right on the side of the building. We came into a very comfortable venue, took our seats and was joined by our waiter immediately after sitting down. Loved the fact that there was really nice music in the background. I am so tired of hearing loud techno while trying to enjoy my meal. We started with some delicious toasted bread (I should have known better) and ordered shortly thereafter, (We had already reviewed menu at home.) Our dinner consisted of: Appetizers: - Mussels in a garlic / white wine sauce - Mozzarella caprese Main Entreès - Shrimp Scampi with linguine - Chicken Cutlet Parm with linguine - Chocolate Cake - Italian Cheesecake Everything was wonderful. My wife loved the caprese while I thought the mussels were amongst the best I ever had. (Best were in Bruges, Belgium) The Chicken Parm was thin, crispy on the outside with tender meat and the Shrimp was fresh and tasty. All this was followed by wonderful desserts with hot coffee. There were enough items on the menu to make me want to come back. On another note... I was a little surprised to see another Yelp review from a fellow Elite member which was not so favorable. Not sure how you can go from one extreme to the other but sorry to read that the experience was not as good as mine. KUDOs to the Team at Molto Bene.

I came here on a Friday for winter 2025 LI restaurant week…read more We were able to get a reservation for 4 at 6:30pm and they had three separate sections for dining. We were in a section that included a live singer and made for great ambiance. By 7:30, every table was filled. For restaurant week, I chose the 4 blue point oysters, the 6oz filet mignon and the cheesecake. The oysters were great and subtly briny and the filet was cooked perfectly (though the potato and vegetable side were pretty underwhelming). The cheesecake was considered Italian and was very lumpy, grainy and I did not like that style. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus and creamed spinach. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal - highly recommend!! The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly The creamed spinach was a tad salty but yummy They also half bottles of wine which was a happy medium for my party My sister got the mussels, lamb shank and tiramisu as her restaurant week choices. The lamb shank was an incredible portion and so flavorful. The tiramisu was the right choice Our waiter was fantastic The wait time for our food was a little long, but I think they were extremely busy and we didn't mind IG/bernmarksthespot

Came for my grandma's birthday and they ending the meal all coming out to sing for her, plus a complimentary tiramisu for her as well. The watermelon salad was fantastic, and we could not stop eating from their fresh bread basket! The shrimp cocktail was so fresh, large, and well-cleaned, the cocktail sauce amazing! Pistachio crusted cod was very good, substituted with mashed potatoes. They were very accommodating for dietary restrictions and preferences. At the end of the meal, they what offered an after-dinner drink on the house.

We had taken the AirTrain from JFK to the LIRR, and rolled into Mio Posto with our carry-on luggage and backpacks. It's only a block from the Merrick station and we hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. Somehow we were unaware of its existence, despite living only a few miles down the road, so we were happily surprised to see a lively crowded bar with a younger group on the right, a high ceiling, well spaced and white-table-clothed tables in the dining area with older adults (like us) on the left. The owner, "Frankee," greeted and seated us. He also dropped by to say hello and chat ... very friendly, and we saw him sit down at two other tables to chat. One time there was a live singer playing an electric keyboard at the far end of the bar, lots of songs we recognized. There were four unoccupied tables on a narrow second floor nook spanning the rear wall, maybe for a small, private party? Both times the service and food were excellent, from the salad to the entrées to the dessert (including great tiramisu). The last time we were there, I snapped a photo of the jumbo shrimp over spinach with oil and garlic, but didn't bother with photos of the dishes with Parmesan cheese because then all you see is mozzarella cheese on top and not what's under it. FYI, a lot of dishes are called "Parmesan" due to the Parmesan style of layering the entrée (whether it be chicken, veal or eggplant) with sauce and cheese. It's moderately priced. Their "half" portions are often enough for two, so you can often order for one, but get enough for two, especially if it's a three-course meal ... just ask for extra plates.

I can tell based on how they were greeted and how quickly they get service etc. Beyond this, I really thought this restaurant was great being our first time here. So if you are looking for something more intimate, this may not be the right spot. Good vibes and great for large parties!!
