Small cozy Italian restaurant. Food service and atmosphere was excellent. Oh and the crème brûlée was delicious too! Will definitely go back ! You'll see from the pics posted how good the veal chop was. lol.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! I went there for my birthday dinner with my husband and had the best time. Also the waiter and chef were super nice. Totally recommend 10/10!

Our first date night as a married couple, we visited Il Villagio. I have lived in this town for 30 years and never actually got a chance to visit this restaurant, but this past week we ended up deciding to have a nice dinner and try it out! First off, the atmosphere is very cozy and the service is gentle and attentive. The food was delicious from appitizer to dessert. The cocktails were very well done and enjoyable. We had the the Mozzarella Carozza, the Pork chop special (my wife had this and said it was delicious!) and the Bucatini Arrabiata with Lobster (absolutely delicious!). We finished with the Creme Brulee and italian cheesecake. The creme brulee was perfect and the italian cheesecake was light but really good as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys high quality italian cuisine. You will not be disappointed!

Il Villagio is a small restaurant, located off the "beaten path", in Malverne. I would consider the food and service upscale, gourmet Italian. During the warmer weather there is outdoor seating available. If a few people are dining, order the Hot Antipasti app. Main course: a bit pricey but probably the best veal chop you have ever tasted. Don't care for veal? Then have the Baby Rack of Lamb. If you are not a meat lover and Halibut is on the menu then that's your choice my friend. You read this far so you must be my friend? Of course there are pastas on the menu but you can get pasta at any neighborhood restaurant. Go for the house specialties here. There is a full bar and parking behind the restaurant. Don't interpret that incorrectly-The bar is not in the parking lot. Service is excellent and I'd be shocked if the owner doesn't stop by your table to ensure you are loving everything about this restaurant.

This resturant is fabulous in every way. They begin your dining experience with complimentary fresh bread with a vegetable and eggplant spread. For an appetizer we had the hot anti pasta for 2. It contained baked clams, eggplant rollatini, fried calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Delicious. For the main course I had the veal saltimbocca which came with a bed of spinach and a potato slice. Again delicious. The wife had the special which was scallops oreganata. Came with a side of vegetables and a slice of potato. Delicious. And finally for dessert we had a traditional cannoli and tartufo which were both delicious and the presentations were spectacular. Service was impeccable. Staff was attentive and friendly. This place is special and highly recommended next time your in town.

Hidden gem in Malverne. Best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood hands down. Service is 5+. Personal is very kind and attentive. Lots of specials. Atmosphere is intimate and music is very romantic. Feels like a good old family establishment for locals. Owner is having drinks at the bar with his friends. The food. We had the best pasta from Specials. Spinach fettuccine with shrimp, scallops in a mushroom Champagne sauce. Insalata Il Villagio with shrimp and shiitake (mmmm) was awesome. Grilled branzino was delish too. Sauvignon blanc from California - crispy with sweet fruit notes. Dessert. Coconut sorbet. Mouthwatering. Try their cappuccino with cinnamon foam. Awe. And complimentary Coffee Patron was a beautiful touch to end our romantic dinner. We definitely bring our family over here.

Every time I'm there, I go in with the thought "THIS time I'm going to control myself". And then I do it again...., It's the only place remaining that I can't control my eating! The food is delicious, no matter what I order: meat, fish, appetizers. I could swear the air tastes better... Full menu, it's all great. Prices? Ya know, I used to say: a little expensive. But it seems that their prices have stayed the same while others have gone up, so I no longer regard Livornos as "an expensive restaurant". The last bill (yesterday) undercut my estimate by about 25%! Anyway, getting more than my money's worth at any price. You get free stuff too. They give you that pizza bread along with the regular bread. Some group vegetables at main course time. And in addition to any desserts you order, a LARGE tray of delicious fruit, no additional charge. I wish I knew where they get that fruit from because I can't find fruit in my shopping that matches it in taste. Oh yeah, also free Italian cookies. The service? As polite and efficient as I've ever seen. The owners (I think they're the owners) come around at intervals to make sure everything is okay. I've never had anything to complain about. My fingers are getting tired so I'll stop here. You've been warned.

My husband and I were coming from Northport and his parents were coming from Staten Island so we decided to try a place in his new location. I googled some restaurants and found Livorna. When I made the reservation the person answering the phone was so polite so I had a feeling it was going to be a good experience. When we walked in they greet you with such warmth. When we sat down they put two generous bread baskets on the table along with a carbonara and a bruschetta plate. Right then and there it's telling you that they really appreciate your business. I ordered a house glass of wine and I was shocked that it was filled all the way to the top unbelievable. We all loved our food and the incredible service. When we ordered dessert they brought us a complimentary fruit platter. This place is amazing we don't have any place that treats you like this even in Northport. We dine at many fine restaurants and I have to tell you this was the best we've ever been treated anywhere. We will definitely be making the trip from Northport to come here and we know our nephew will frequently be eating at this restaurant. He's Italian and loved it here!

A few minutes later, two couples who are regulars arrived & sat at the bar near me. They told me that very soon I'll see the place packed with the usual Friday customers, and they were right! It was nice being included in conversation as if I was a regular along with them. The bartender greeted me promptly & gave me a drink & food menu. I ordered two lychee blossom drinks which I've had before, if I see a lychee drink on the menu I will usually go with that drink. Was given bread along with a white sauce that tasted good, one of the couples passed their marinara dish for me to try my bread with & that was good as well. I ordered meatballs from the appetizer menu to bring home, they were good as always. I knew they had different specials on different days and was hoping there was a happy hour menu at the bar, but I did not see any specials for Fridays.

We came in on a Friday night and had a great time. The vibe and decor is Tuscan with lots of brick and wood around giving a warm feeling. Adding to the warm feeling was the friendly staff - the hostess gave us a 4 top despite us only being 2. They must have knew how much food we were going to order haha. We were given bread with an interesting spread that was tasty, but still not sure what it was exactly. Ordered some red wines. We looked over the menu to decide on some dishes to share. Here's the run down: CARCIOFO BRASATE CON BURRATA BRAISED BABY ARTICHOKES, WITH PISTACHIO PESTO AND BURRATA This was really enjoyable and with creamy burrata and delicious pistachio pesto that was perfect with the tender baby artichokes PARMIGIANA DI MELANZANA Eggplant meatballs were so good with so much flavor - didn't miss the meat at all. Fantastic sauce with this as well. BIETOLA & FUNGHI salad ROASTED RED BEET, MARINATED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOMS, ORGANIC BABY ARUGULA, GOAT CHEESE, WHITE BALSAMIC VINEGAR DRESSING The presentation of this dish was impressive with circles of beets acting as bed for the salad. It was different from the usual chunks of beets in most salads. I enjoyed this salad SPAGHETTI AL LIMONE IMPORTED ORGANIC SPAGHETTI, MEYER LEMON, PARMIGGIANO, FRESH BASIL We asked the kitchen to split this dish for us and they accommodated. The cheesy lemony pasta was perfect and paired well with spicy shrimp dish we ordered. GAMBERI UBRIACATI WILD BLUE SHRIMP, SWEET CHERRY TOMATOES, PANCETTA, CORN, CRISPY BREAD, RED PEPPER FLAKES These shrimps were really incredibly tasty - I usually don't order shrimp dishes in restaurants because they usually give a bit of chlorinated taste. Not here. The sauce was spicy with the pancetta and corn adding sweetness. For dessert we shared the brownie topped with pistachio gelato. The brownie was unremarkable, but the gelato was good. The espressos were perfectly made. The place was busy all night with a few open tables - the service encouraged us to sit allowing us to really enjoy our night. A fantastic experience.
